12 guys on the football team have played in a playoff game .. that includes Sanders who's played in 2 superbowls. Ok my question is even If the 49ers play a great game defensively how are these beginner playoff team going to play offensively against a very good defense.. remember Zimmers defense gave fits to Grappolo last year why can't they do it again?

Something to consider but I wouldn't put too much weight into that angle. They've played some big games down the stretch in PT that resemble a playoff atmosphere.

I talk about this every day. Experience is one of the most important elements in the playoffs. I have seen it happen so many times in the playoffs where inexperienced teams/coaches lose the game.
The 49ers have a great team so it may not be a big of a deal in this exact scenario, but do not be totally surprised if they come out slow or struggle a little.

Minny was 2-4 in division. Losing twice to the Bears (what) and twice to GB, playoff team. They also, only beat one playoff team and that was not even in regular season. . Well two if you want to count the eagles. So you were a division loser as you could only take down detroit, and the one quality win you can point to came last week, and NO played arguably their poorest in sometime, (breeze) I certainly wouldn't consider the NFC north or East as a juggernaut so, not really sure that we have a stellar student here in the Minnesota Vikings.
how often do you watch the Vikings games? I watch every single one of them .. I can tell you the Bears game in Soldier field was the worst beat.. in GB Vikings came back only to lose on an interception at home against GB the game doesn't count when you have your 1 and 2 RB out .. so the only division game you want to see where they were over matched was in Chicago... If 49ers play Chicago like defense and turn cousins into a pocket passer it will be a long day..but remember that defense has always kept the Vikings in games even when offense has been horrible.

Sagarin has the NFC North as the second best division in football behind the NFC West. You cannot look at all games and cherry pick wins and losses as not all games are created even. How'd the Falcons beat the Niners at home when the Vikings beat the Falcons by 20?
Vikings dealt with two all pros in and out of the lineup all year with Cook and Thielen. Vikings were 8-2 in games where both Thielen and Cook played. This is a very even matchup and should be a fun game.

What excuses should we use for Seattle and KC losses? They were on the road? or those were good playoff teams?
They were in those games the play that did Vikings against Chiefs was the 91yard td.. that was a horrible Call by min .. against hawks Vikings were always in the game until 3rd qtr debacle.. what I'm saying is that Vikings probably could lose but this will be a competitive game not a blowout like some say it's going to be

I recall one Alex Smith with no playoff experience taking the Niners to the nfc championship where they lost in ot. And Kap took them to the SB the following year. Also no real playoff experience.

But Grappolo is trying to fill an even bigger shoe . He is the heir apparent to Montana and Steve Young.. now he's gotta stare down E Griffen and D Hunter.. this atmosphere it's different than any regular season big game.. this is the playoffs win or go home i don't think Grappolo can be trusted until he proves otherwise in this game.

Agree wholeheratedly. Their defense is at full strength. Loss to Atlanta had Sherman and Tartte both out. They are at full strength. This is a team to be reckoned with. Their D is shutdown and their strength of schedule is second to none ...

why did Travis Homer lay 125 yards on them if it's shut down defense.. if Travis homer can lay 125 i wonder what Cook can do to them

History repeats itself. How often have Vikings really won when it counts, really coints? Never. How often have 49ers? Many times. Whos the major market? Niners Who's the home team? Niners. Whos coach has coached in a Super bowl? Niners. Garoppolo is older and has 2 Rings from learning in/at super bowls. Shanahan's father is a super bowl winning coach. Coaching trees matter. The Niners have more than enough experience.
so a few things.
1)These are different teams then history so it doesn't exactly apply.
2) he was a OC at the super bowl, not the head coach. And if you still count that, Zimmer won a super bowl in 1995 as a defensive backs coach.
3) Kirk is actually older than Jimmy G
Jimmy has never played a playoff game and the hc has never coached one. their whole defense is young kids/rookies who have never been here. You ca make the case that their 3 best players have never been in the playoffs.

Are you aware of I/E, or emotional intelligence ? I is for intellect and the E is for emotional. The best way to eliminate intellect is with alcohol. This is why Vegas pushes it down your throat. The intent is to eliminate intellectual logic and allow you to play on emotion. So I have to respectfully disagree. Emotion does not make one more money, it has actually helped to build all those tall buildings in the middle of the desert.

Ok my question is even If the 49ers play a great game defensively how are these beginner playoff team going to play offensively against a very good defense.. remember Zimmers defense gave fits to Grappolo last year why can't they do it again?
It was already said earlier but worth repeating that Niners have played about 3-4 "playoff atmosphere" games already down the stretch. Maybe slight edge to Min, if at all.
The week one loss Min gave SF was quite a long time ago. I'm not sure it's even comparable - Shanahan and Garappolo have developed considerably since then. They may struggle to contain Dalvin running to the left, but SF should be able to control this game on both offense and defense.

Lol at different teams than history .you dont get it.
Major markets always win. Minn never does. Saints never win..2006 will be it for another 50 years . Thsts why it was so easy for me to eliminate them before season started. Minn will always fail till some miraculous player like a Lamar comes along. Season 100 won't have a sorry ass Cousins advancing . SF/ California is a major market. It needs revenue to keep flowing. Every year for more than a decade. A California team has made final 4 or final 2.. in at least one of the four major sports. It's going to happen again.
