ok which coaching tree are you talking about Kubiak and Kyle come from the same tree.. infact Kyle worked for Kubiak...how many playoff games has Grappolo won ? Zero

49ers, 49ers, 49ers. Garoppolo  has won 2 super bowls  from the sidelines lol.

In short= stop wasting  your time on irrelevant  crap. Niners aren't losing  this game no matter what.  No stats matter. It's entertainment  and minn is always the bit player. The guy who dies before  the movie ends.

So in other words they either need to win SB or they never won when it really counted, because everytime they win a big game as they did last week, IF THEY LOSE THE NEXT GAME, then it could be said they never won WHEN IT REALLY COUNTED.

So your saying unless they win SB then they never win when it REALLY COUNTS

If you applied that same theory to every team many, many, many of them never win when it really counts.

Sounds like your twisting that info to fit what you want it to say.

So, is this a game that REALLY COUNTS ?? Or will it be next weeks game that REALLY COUNTS if they happen to win today ??

It was already said earlier but worth repeating that Niners have played about 3-4 "playoff atmosphere" games already down the stretch. Maybe slight edge to Min, if at all. The week one loss Min gave SF was quite a long time ago. I'm not sure it's even comparable - Shanahan and Garappolo have developed considerably since then. They may struggle to contain Dalvin running to the left, but SF should be able to control this game on both offense and defense.
Niners secondary at full strength is good enough to play man to man coverage. I believe their game plan will be to keep Cooke in check as much as possible and force Cousins to make plays with his arm. If Cooke does not run effectively enough for the Vikes they will be in trouble. Cousins will throw a pick or two along the way. We can make arguments all day for both sides, but at the end of the day the game is played on the field. Zimmer is a good coach, but defense wins championships almost every time in the NFL. Having balance is even more of a plus. Good luck to all and enjoy the game !!

  how often do you watch the Vikings games? I watch every single one of them .. I can tell you the Bears game in Soldier field was the worst beat.. in GB Vikings came back only to lose on an interception at home against GB the game doesn't count when you have your 1 and 2 RB out .. so the only division game you want to see where they were over matched was in Chicago... If 49ers play Chicago like defense and turn cousins into a pocket passer it will be a long day..but remember that defense has always kept the Vikings in games even when offense has been horrible.

The last game of year against the Bears the Vikings didn't play their starters...peace_5

The 49ers defense are tough on pocket passers, not so much on mobile QB's.

You'll be far  too wrong. Seriously,  he's been to two SBS with Pats. He's  familiar with the environment. Now he's simply playing in it. Older and more experienced

You obviously  can't grasp anything but the most basic thought process. The Vikings never win the big games. Wildcard round is not the important  big game.  They make the playoffs alot more than saints ever have.  But they never get over the hump . SF historically  gets over the hump. They did it  with sorry ass Kaepernick . Theyll do it with the much better Garoppolo,  who has better receivers.

Thread has been an interesting read.  I picked Minny but was waiting for line to push higher than the +7 due to SF's popularity with fans around the country.  A factor Vegas truly considers.  The true line on this game should be around Min +3.  I not getting my additional +.5 so I just put my 2 units on Min +7 and put my 2 cents in this thread.

Boy was i wrong on this one..49ers protected Grappolo.. Vikings were gassed they just didn't look the same team that showed up last week... 49ers with all their young guns are going to be tough to beat.. i still think Grappolo is the weakness

so a few things.  1)These are different teams then history so it doesn't exactly apply.  2) he was a OC at the super bowl, not the head coach. And if you still count that, Zimmer won a super bowl in 1995 as a defensive backs coach.  3) Kirk is actually older than Jimmy G  Jimmy has never played a playoff game and the hc has never coached one. their whole defense is young kids/rookies who have never been here. You ca make the case that their 3 best players have never been in the playoffs.
Lol at different  teams than history .you dont get it. Major markets  always win. Minn never does. Saints never win..2006 will be it for another 50 years . Thsts why it was so easy for me to eliminate  them before season started.  Minn will always fail  till  some miraculous player like a Lamar comes along.  Season 100 won't have a sorry ass Cousins advancing . SF/ California is a major  market. It needs revenue  to keep  flowing.  Every year for more than a decade. A California  team has made final 4 or final 2.. in at least one of the four major sports. It's going to happen again.
