If you are looking at Niners losses, you have to also look at Pats losses too. How did they do against Ari, Sea, and barely beat the lowly Jets.
I'm not saying Niners gonna win but they will compete. So don't think it's easy money taking NE.
seriously...you are going to compare games from sept and oct...? a west coast road game, an anomoly L vs AZ and how did they play the jets the 2nd time around? ...not that these have any affect/meaning on this Sun.
just as bad as the guy yesterday... "well the pats lost to Balt and Hou beat balt so Hou is the play"
shoot man...this in the NFL... some games even a week ago pretty much cannot be compared /analyzed to an upcoming matchup.
no way to compare SF loss @ Stl to upcoming vs NE ... now SF can take alot away from last nights game but the pats are the best team in football right now

I was on the Pats last night, but I think San Fran is a better team than Houston. They have the best defense in the league and a more effective ground game. If the line goes to -7. I may bite and buy 1/2 pt and make a small play.
Remember the Pats lost to the Seahawks and Cardinals...both NFC West teams.

I'm very biased, being from SF. SF came out of the gates and smacked around GB if I recall. Are they not well rounded with a high caliber QB? It's gonna be the best game of the season for me, I just think people are really disrespecting the SF defense, but I'm used to it. SF never gets the respect they deserve, how soon everyone forgets about the public perception when CHI played SF.

nuggins - the Patriots have one of the easiest schedules. Last nights win was pretty impressive to me though. The true test in my eyes will be SNF. Aldon Smith going for the single season sack record with one of the best coaches in the league. You think Brady is going to have all the time in the world to throw like most of his games this season? Think again.

I'm a die hard 9ers fan. I was on the Pats last night BUT the 9ers are a far better team than the Texans, their secondary won't make mistakes like that of the Texans. The pats had to account for JJ and that's all. Sure they will double Aldon but then u have the other smith on the other end who bull rushes every down. Furthermore, bowman and p Willis are great covering LBs and will neutralize wood head. And Hernandez that leaves who Brandon Lloyd the ex 9er to cover. Great athlete but that's about it. The 9ers D has looked like that of last year. Ahut down da bears, shut down brees, kap handed all 10 points to the rams and the phins plugged in one TD with highlight reel catch on 4th and goal..this D is RETARDED..The Pats record is phenomenal at home in December granted but the 9ers can exploit this team. The pats run d can account for gore but will they be ready for kap not sure. Kap ain't exactly a rookie qb either and not sure. Billichek has enough film on him just yet. Harbaughs kept the play calling verrrrrryyyy conservative and I think he has a couple of tricks up his sleeve for this one. Furthermore the 9ers west coast offense will abuse the weak cover game of the pats lb's. Spikes and mayo great in run d, clueless in pass coverage. Crabtree is mr. Yac and if manningham plays watch out. Didn't like the 9ers spot having to travel primetime game and having Seattle on deck but the hawks will lose to the lowly bills and the 9ers will have a chance to seal the division in my opinion. This is just my 2 cents and call me crazy to be betting against Brady in December but the matchups on the field all favor the 9ers on both ends of the ball. All records are meant to be broken buddy and the 9ers know... "Who betttter than usssss...NOBODY!!!" niners went into lambeau made limited Rodgers, into the NO dome limited drew Bree's, go into fox pro and....Brady....Super Bowl niners and manning....BOL to all will have an even more in depth analysis to this game for y'all to read.

Just like to make money off of them.
Until proven worng... let the ball roll and going back to the well
and again...Pats easily over 2 parts of a 13 pt teasers... only time this yr they haven't was vs AZ i believe
the team makes money...that's all i care about.
and if the go to the SB and in the playoffs in general... i hope they get smashed... it just won't happen in NE - the record should cont' this weekend as well

Ya back when Gbay had Matthews and Woodson fully healthy on the defensive end right...and sure the NO D blows hard but the 9ers scored on D. Shut down that high octane O. C'mon man if you can't see this D giving Brady fits then you're still watching last nights highlights.

Please don't put the words elite team and Saints in one sentence. And I respect your opinion but just like Pats here. 49ers are a good team but I'm going Pats.

I'm not saying they won't...will be a great matchup...but i will find it hard to beleive that SF will keep NE under 21 pts ... and I don't think SF will score 21 ...so...
and brady more than likely will not get INT'ed like Brees did/has been.

I honestly think Brady will have somewhat of a hard time moving the ball. I expect a lot of pressure all night and much better coverage than he's used to.

Brady doesn't need all the time in the world. He gets rid of the ball in 3 secs.

He usually has time to step up in the pocket and let the routes form. He most likely won't be able to get rid of it in 3 secs against the likes of Bowman and Willis with the pass rush SF has. The SF secondary is nothing to underestimate either. This is the best matchup of the year in my opinion. Arguably, the best offense against the best defense.
