However you look at this game it's going to be close but I just don't see the 49ers caring since they have Seattle the following week and this game is not that important as it is important to the patriots. But good luck to everyone whatever side you have.

First of all whoever thinks san frans d will shuy down pats offense is just clueless. We are talking about one of the greatet offenses of all time with one of greatest qbs of all time with one of best coaches of all time. Pats will score their pts and belicheks record vs rookie qbs is nvery good

Denver top 5 defense pats scored 31 tru 3 quarters. Houston top 5 defense scored 42 coulda ben 50 + if they wanted to. And scored 30 vs baltimore. So the 3 best defensea thy played this year put up 30 in all of them. San fran will b lucky to hold them under 28

When you say defense? What are we talking about?
                                                  Points given up per game/total?
                                                  Yards given up passing?
                                                  Yards given up on the rush?
                                                  Total yards combined?
                                                  Or net yards in either category?

If we examine each category as an individual entity San Fran. is the only team consistently in the top 2. Number 1 in Points Allowed per Game [14] and Total Points Allowed. Denver's rank ranges anywhere from 4-7, Houston's 2-19 and Baltimore's 10-25 depending on a which category.                                 

The 9ers are just a different breed on defense similar to what the Pats bring to the table on offense, but not better, strictly comparing ranks.

What I love about football is that on any given game day (Sunday's mostly) one team can beat another. I was on Houston Monday night.........OUCH! Bent over and took it like a man with sand in the vaseline. Well, I have the vaseline ready again cause I'm on the Niners...............when will I ever learn?

I was   in the Houston game. The line moved from Pats -4.5 to -3 in the blink of an eye. Was I ever excited about my Houston wager when I saw that! I just played the Niners+5 for the LARGE at my book. If +6 or 6.5 was out there earlier...........it isn't anymore.

Give me the Niners +5.5 all day here.  Harbaugh will have them ready to play a SNF game in Foxboro for sure.  That team will be up for the challenge and I believe has a good shot of winning straight up but will definitely be taking the points.

I thought the Texans would show up and possibly win outright on Monday. I was DEAD wrong! All fine and good but the defenses you mentioned all play in the AFC.
The best defenses in the league all play in the NFC and San Fran. is probably the best of the bunch imo. I gotta believe the Niners will hang with them.
