...Dude got waived after being drafted last year 17th overall in the 1st round.....Raiders could not even trade him for a bag of potato chips.....At least he got a 4 year guaranteed contract - $14 million. I don't think I have ever seen a 1st round draft pick waived the very next year not counting getting into trouble with the law....Gotta be the biggest bust of all time? Raiders draft class last 4 years..Yikes....Good thing they got Renfoe out of those draft classes.

Sometimes, you give a guy a pile of cash and he realizes he doesn't love the game anymore. Not sure if that's the case here, but it does happen.
As someone who plays Madden’s fantasy franchise mode, I have to say that the last few years (2020, 2021) he’s been a first or second round draft pick who underperforms. You draft him and then he’s a 70, which is a little subpar. But then he fails to improve, unlike the other rookies. Funny how the guys who make those draft class rosters anticipated that lol. I think I had him on 1-2 rosters in 2020 and was like “screw this guy, he’s not very good.”

He was one of those guys that was taken higher than most projected he would go.It clearly did not go well for the Raiders in this case.. They had some rough draft choices with Ruggs and Damon Arnette .. I know the Raiders declined the 5th year options of 1st round picks Jacob's and Ferrell as well..
Its safe to say Gruden and Mayock struggled

I do agree they struggled. Only thing I disagree with is the Ruggs pick - I think that was a good pick, and nobody could have foreseen him doing what he did, especially when his childhood friend died in a similar way to the Ruggs crash (the friend apparently died as a passenger in a car with a careless driver, and Ruggs vowed to honor his best friend’s memory - only to go out and do the same thing years later).
