and of course which side are the refs on in this one...? If the books need KC, then expect some shady calls on the Jags secondary IMO. It worked in the postseason at New England last year...those two pass interference calls on the Jags' corners were gifts.
TJ Yeldon and Bortles can gain yardage on the ground so I don't expect them to go to the air exclusively...not in that hostile atmosphere. Long drives is what Jacksonville will want...ice that KC showtime, quick strike offense.
Having Tom Coughlin in their corner is a big plus for Jacksonville...
he attends all team meetings and all of their practices...players call him coach though he is VP of player operations. Coughlin was Flutie's QB coach at Boston College and no doubt the improvement I see in Bortles is a direct reflection of his tutoring.
Head Coach Marrone reports to Coughlin and Coughlin reports to the owner Khan. That is their chain of command.
Avoid who will win the game and take the over 49. Rain, unless it's a torrential downpour, has no effect on passing. JAX will be passing more due to Fournette being out. KC defense sucks, meaning JAX will score. And I'll take KC offense over JAX defense. So for me this adds up to a scorefest. And I think the number is being suppressed because of the rain factor.
KC ranks dead last defensively in yards per rush allowed 5.73. Jacksonville has TJ Yeldon, Corey Grant, and Blake Bortles who can motor. I envision the Jags running the ball down their throats in order to keep Mahomes on ice.
The Jags ran for 104 yards against the Pats in week 2 without Fournette. Bortles threw 4 td passes in that game...under the tutelage of Tom Coughlin, Bortles is making great strides.
Do you know how good Ramsey, Bouye, and those other cats in that Jacks' D are? Arrowhead is a tough place to play only if the KC offense can rock and roll.
I predict that Mahomes will feel some heat and realize that modern day pro football is still a contact sport. This fast and physical defense will cause this second year rook some high anxiety IMO.
Denver's D is ranked #17...Jack's D is ranked #1... and they only have given up 14 points a game on average. KC's D has given up 28 points per game...are these stats meaningful? Not to you guys but I remember these same players last year and they are a formidable bunch.

No it's not. If it's a small bet, I would take -3 but it was a big bet. Went a tad on -3, but whacked moneyline huge at -140. Don't mind the juice. You don't get the point. You can never be sure of backdoor cover. What if they were up by 10 and then Jags score a garbage TD? Then I don't win shit. I don't risk that shit when playing big money.
