Yeah I did have them under 5.5, so they will need to tank against Tenn to have a shot.

Well hell they squeaked by today.  Next to no shot for them to be opher for the rest of the year, but I don't think they end up any better than 6-10, although they could pick one up against the Chiefs.  Make that 7-9 at the most.

Well Da Raiders keep my slim chances alive by dropping the game to the Chiefs.  Next games at Denver and home against the Packers so really liking my chances at surviving another couple of weeks.

Congrats to the Raiders for winning 6 games.  But really, is this what Raider fans were looking for ?

Maybe if they can win a couple more for a .500 season.  But again, what record were you really looking for this year ?

I am not mad, there is nothing to be mad about.  Just seems that the bar was supposed to be higher.  Thought there was talk about getting into the playoffs as a wild card before the year started. Well not in this thread, but chatter in general.

There wasn't any talk of a wildcard before the season I can guarantee you on that. But after taking a thumping on week one they went 4-2 and looked pretty good. After that they got into a slump but still could have won a couple of those games. Two that come to mind are in Chicago where they lost on a last second field goal and Detroit where they lost by 5. Anyways they have taken a huge step forward this year and most weeks are playing competitive football. With a break here or there they could easily be 8-5. They are finally drafting properly and as they get better more decent players in the league will want to be a part of it.

Oh and not allowing Denver an offensive touchdown in two games is a major step forward for them. Winning a game in Mile high and standing up physically to them is huge going forward.

I personally never heard or read of one single person predicting the Raiders to be in the playoffs this season' some may have but I never saw or heard that. I thought they could scrape out 6 wins so made the team total over bet, but I thought they would do just that scrape out 6 or 7 wins maximum. Beyond that as a fan all I really wanted was to have them be very competitive and be something they have not been for some years which is a hard to team to play against and they accomplished that. To expect a team that did not win a single road game the season before or in almost two seasons if I recall correctly and who was 0-10 heading into week 12 last season, to suddenly be a playoff team would be more than a bit ridiculous, but when they were 4-3 they did have me beginning to a dream a bit but still with great reservations as I knew they were not quite there yet. They lost two games on last second field goals and are 6-7 and have a winning road record and those two last second losses were on the road as well. They are a completely different team and they have changed the culture within the organization for now and have completely changed the way opposing teams think and feel when preparing to face them.
Mission 100% accomplished. 

They will need to add a couple more key pieces and keep the forward maturation of their present talented young group going upward to make a real run at the playoffs next season, but it is definitely now a reality.
