Thanks for the comments gents.
I hear everyone (Suuma and company) above about the injuries and I have to agree that it is causing me some great concern.
The worst injury is obvious: Steve Smith.
I want to say I did my research on that one and earlier in the week, when the bet was placed both coaches and Smith said he would play.
Now he's doubtful which takes him off the board.
One of the main reasons the Ravens fell to the Skins is because right after Smith went down, they couldn't spread the field and got very little done through the air after that.
BUT we still have the BegginerBoys and Moto's angle of Mornhinweg coming in and trying new schemes.
What everyone seemed to talk about was the visible energy and attitude that Mornhinweg brings to the job, which is quite in contrast to Trestman's almost professorial persona. That is something that could be reflected right away in the way that Mornhinweg calls the plays and attempts to dissect a seemingly vulnerable Giants pass defense.
The Ravens still had a rushing attack that came to life last week and one they abandoned, and the Giants inexplicably have not even a mediocre rushing attack putting pressure on an aging Eli. So we have plenty of outs despite the slew of injuries that were confirmed during the week.
Again, who have the Giants beaten? BARELY took out a Cowboys team with a rookie QB and RB and then BARELY beat a bad Saints team by a late FG. Not even remotely impressive in any way to give them love on this board. The Ravens are one misstep vs. Oakland from a 4-1 record and if you watched last week you'd be amazed at how many ways Balt. blew that game. Still riding this Balt ML until McAdoo can put something substantial together without a backfield.
