Steelers outright............take the ML, points wont be needed!
Agreed, people seem to forget the Giants are the defending champions. They are going to be every team's superbowl, especially a prideful Steelers team that felt they should have gone farther in the playoffs last year.
The fact that the Giants are 6-2 shocks me as normally superbowl winners have a very hard time getting to 10 wins the next year, not because there not good but because they get everyone's best game.
If you take a closer look though, the Giants comfortable wins have came against the Buccaneers, Panthers, Browns, and 49ers who can't play from behind against anyone. They squeaked by the Redskins with a rookie QB, and got bailed out by the Cowboys last week. Veteran experienced playoff teams will give them a run for the money for the rest of the year. Eagles beat them once and Cowboys should have beaten them twice. Steelers get my vote this weekend

Inexperienced teams with no playoff experience.

Hey League really appreciate all the great work you contribute here and please keep it up. Something interesting I just read off ESPN was the following:"
The Falcons hope to improve to 8-0 on
Sunday night at the Georgia Dome against the Cowboys. While this
doesn't guarantee anything, it bears mentioning that Dallas has won its
last three games against opponents that were 7-0 or better at the time
of the game going back to 1991, with two of those victories coming on
the road. Even stranger is that each of those teams rebounded from
suffering their first loss to the Cowboys and went on to win the Super
Bowl that season!" So hopefully the Falcons will remember this and then win the SUPERBOWL." HAHAHAHA Gl to u all....

Interesting stuff. Might be a minor distraction but it's a very short flight from PITT to NYG so hopefully not a major concern. Will definitely disrupt there usual routine though

The second half of the season is upon us guys! Remember to keep your bets in limit and be selective. Had a great month last month nailing all my big plays. Going to try and be even more selective this month. Let's get em
Dallas Cowboys @ Atlanta Falcons
Dallas has the best secondary in the league. If you couldn't figure that out Sunday night against the Giants then take a look at how many first downs and total yards the Giants had despite 6 turnovers. I really feel bad for the Cowboys being fingers away (literally) from sweeping the Giants despite all their mistakes.
The past three weeks, the Falcons faced the 14th ranked secondary, the 20th ranked secondary, and the 32nd ranked secondary in the league. Now they go up against the #3 ranked seconadry (stats wise) but in my opinion, the best secondary in the league. The Falcons haven't faced a defense this good all year. Cowboys will be up for the challenge of facing the undefeated Falcons at home.
Some might think they'll be deflated off their loss and normally teams would be, but not when there backed up against a wall in a do or die game. Three games back of the division lead this is a must-win for the Cowboys, a team who really excels as road underdogs.
This is the exact scenario as the Packers vs the Texans two weeks ago.
This game means absolutely nothing to the Falcons.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Giants
Another game that means very little to the home team. The Giants now have a three game lead in their division while the Steelers are getting hot and making strides to catch up to Baltimore. Perfect spot to fade the Giants off a win they didn't deserve.
If you think the Giants deserved that win against the Cowboys your terribly wrong. They had 11 first downs. 11! Giants got nothing going for them against the Cowboys and got bailed out by endless amounts of turnovers by the Cowboys.
Their not in rhythm and I don't think they'll find their groove against a Steelers team that's starting to make their move.
Cowboys +4.5 8 units Cowboys ML (+173) 2 units Steelers +3.5 3 units Cowboys +11 / Steelers +10 5 units
October: +54.9 units
Totals: 2-0 Best Plays of the Month: 2-0 Best Play of the Season: 1-0
I usually agree with you except for the fact that you did watch the game in Dallas last week right? You would have seen that most of those turnovers were caused by the giants, also they were in the red zone pretty hard to pick up a bunch of first downs from the red zone. Dallas did play good goal line defense keeping the Giants out of the end zone but remember the main problem in Dallas is Romo he seems to be a born loser. The Giants are known to play off balance way to much during the season. Atlanta however will crush the Cowboys in Atlanta since Cowboys are poorly coached and born loser behind the center. As far as yuor pick with Pitt i am leaning your way with Pitt since the Giants never play well as a favorite especially at home.

Love how much hate Romo gets. This guy gets more criticism than any other person in the NFL when the real problem is the coach and how undisciplined his team is because of him.
Tony Romo is the 2nd highest rated passer OF ALL TIME. Sure he throws INT here and there but who doesn't? In my opinion Romo is a stud and I'd love for him to be on my team if I coached in the NFL.
"Fact: Romo has the highest fourth-quarter passer rating among active
quarterbacks. And it’s not even close. His 102.1 rating is more than
five points higher than the second man on the list, Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers and nearly 20 points better than Eli Manning's in the 4Q"
You among thousands of other people, think Romo is the problem. Romo is not the problem.
Despite the 6 turnovers the Cowboys gave up, they were still fingers away from sweeping the defending superbowl champions.
If it wasn't for a Ravens kickoff return, Romo would have led his team to a win in Baltimore, a team who hasn't lost at home for over 14 straight games (longest active streak in the NFL).
Cowboys could very easily be ATLEAST 5-2 right now. Saying Romo is the problem is foolish. In fact, he's the only one preventing this team from being garbage.
I GOT YOUR BACK ROMO!!! BRING IT HOME THIS SUNDAY

I don't really like the Cowboys this week, but will never understand the hate Romo gets.
Last year, on Thanksgiving, Romo made some plays that I've never seen another QB make. 4 or 5 times Miami had unblocked rushers and Romo pulled unreal spin moves in the back-field and then found receivers open down the field.
Please stop hating on Romo because you grew up in the 90s and the Cowboys dominated your favorite team, and now you hate them. Please also stop listening to the media.
Brady, Big Ben, Shaub, Manning, Manning, Rodgers, Brees and Ryan are the only QBs I'd rather have than Romo. (Maybe Stafford) Bottom line is Romo is a top 10 QB, stop the hate (even though I know this message fell on deaf ears.)

Couldn't agree more. I live in Austin, Texas and obviously a lot of Boys fans here. Romo is NOT the problem. They do not help him at all. I always have the argument with people about his passer rating as well and people are like "really? wow, didn't know that".. Simply amazing how people just look at his picks and automatically blame them all on him. Look more into it people, Football isn't just black and white

Love reading your posts each week and want to thank you for sharing your insights- as many have said before, you are a major asset to the Covers forum.
Completely agree with you on Romo, despite what many think, he is a GREAT QB. Shit rolls down from the top in any organization and the Cowboys are a perfect example of poor management.
I'll be tailing you on Sunday night.
On a side note, do you think there's a chance the Cowboys may be flat after everything they put into the Giants game last Sunday only to lose in the last 10 seconds?
BOL to us all and keep up the great work!!!

Definitely not. As I said in my original post, normally teams would be flat off a loss like that but when your desperate for a win and in a must-win situation that chance of not showing up the next week goes away.
If the Cowboys lose this Sunday it won't be due to them coming out flat.
Same thing with the Panthers, they just had a huge emotional loss blowing the game to the Bears last week but they are desperate for a win, one of the reasons I like them to win SU against the Redskins. However, if the Cowboys were 5-2 or the Panthers were 5-2 or somewhere along those lines, I could see both of them coming out flat. Fortunately, thats not the case

The giants were down 17+ points entering the 4th quarter vs the Bucs, that's NOT a comfortable win..

Interesting stuff. Might be a minor distraction but it's a very short flight from PITT to NYG so hopefully not a major concern. Will definitely disrupt there usual routine though
I would add-in that the Giants have been dealing with distractions this week with some of their facilities being damaged and players homes being damaged by these storms. I would say that if we are saying the flight time is a distraction for the Steelers then the actual storm is a distraction for the G-men. I don't think the storm is worth considering.
