You know what happens to gamblers in the end. This fool is so in love with him self and the media gushing over his 4th down courage, he feels he has to go for it every single time to maintain his gambling reputation. There’s a fine line between reckless and strategic.
Mark my words. He’s going to cost the Lions big in another playoff game.

Campbell has always been too aggressive & obviously takes pride in it. Going for it on your own 30 with a 3pt lead in the 4th is not just reckless, but stupid imo & could have easily cost 'em the game.

Then again it was Campbell that turned around a many decades' long losing franchise to be the talk of the football world. Impossible for me to fault him as he seems to play the keyboard of emotion and produce winning results.
I recall when he first took over the job and he would openly weep when they lost in the post game interviews and express his affection for his players. These guys would run through a wall for him.
Will it come back to bite him in the rear-end, if it does he will know he did it his way and positioned his team on the edge of greatness. There is some satisfaction in that, how many of us can say that in life?
Viva Cristo Rey!!!

Negative. There was no way they were to lose that game except the way he managed the game. It definitely was not surprising after his decision against Dallas a few weeks prior.

That 4th and inches call at the end of the game was the wrong call to make! I honestly think the got so lucky they converted that or he would be getting roasted and called the worlds dumbest coach! Why wouldn’t you go up by 3 leaving around 38 seconds left for Packers with no timeouts left? I would back the defence there! He got very very very lucky they converted that!

you clearly didn’t watch the game.
the cowboys game was lost by the officials when decker reported.
The 49ers game was a win if Reynolds catches the ball that hits him right in the hands.

Well said. Did it his way. You ever notice the team never says anything about those decisions? I think they love that shit.

Ramblin', gamblin' Dan Campbell is my favorite head coach in the NFL. His/their goal is a Superbowl. The Lions won 2 playoff games last year, which is 2 more than they have won in over 30 years. He has brought glory to Motor City. When I heard this song it seems to have been written for him:
Since we are on the topic of head coaches', there is another long tenured head coach that hasn't won 1 playoff game in 7 years, yet he is praised to the heavens by the mainstream sports' media. He is rarely held accountable in the media for his many coaching gaffes and there are countless examples of those. He gets a pass for mediocre results from 'wokester' ownership as well and even a pay raise and contract extension. He makes 4x what Campbell makes. How is that for meritocracy?
The NFL is a business not a social engineering project for diversity, equity, and inclusion, but yet that is what it has become.

if the coaches goes for 4th downs instead of taking points, or goes for it deep in his end and turns it over...then yes it is on the coach. just because it came down to 1 play and the player didnt make the play doesnt let the coach off the hook. just like the game thursday. Yes he got tds on a couple of those 4th down plays but the 4th at his own 30 that resulted in a TO and a score for the other team was bonehead.
