@HockeyNight11
if there were multiple flags thrown, they wouldn't have called duplicate penalties, they would have just picked one. I am not sure ineligible receiver downfield wasn't mentioned in their referee huddle.

Like how is there this obvious of video and no repercussions for the officiating? Just a massive call with a 1 seed on the line. Look forward to the South Park style “we’re sorry” meaningless apology Monday morning

@Duderonomy
Totally agree, but in typical NFL (WWE) fashion - drama - entertainment
Just very suspicious.
Geoff said in presser - it's not fixed, just happens that way sometimes - hahahha

Im pretty sure only announced penalties are counted but idk maybe they have secret calls too! Wouldn’t shock me

They literally tell the refs about these scenarios pre game lol there is no “oh he’s trying to be sneaky” Christ people

Blown away how the officiating can try to say a guy who’s not even eligible to report was the guy they had as reporting. Like you can’t actually explain and apologize your way out of that. Time for some of these clowns to meet the unemployment line

70 was the very last one to run over to the ref. By time he gets there it appears that the ref already gave a nod to one of the other two guys. Still not sure why 58 was even talking to the ref, but 58 and 68 are the two players talking to him and then 70 runs over at the last second. It appears that the ref doesn’t even acknowledge 70 at all

I saw that in the TV subtitles and couldn’t believe he said “not fixed”! That’s like saying the game was fixed without actually saying it to avoid the repercussions.

@brn2loslive2win
I think the official is actually looking at 70 the whole time, as he runs up. The official appears to be ignoring the two guys right in front of him. Which would explain why he'd run over to the defense with 70 in his mind, even though it was Decker who was actually reporting.

Mouthing two different numbers? Why would he do that? Only one lineman can report as eligible... can't report two linemen.

Explain to me how that shows something "obvious"?

@Killrus420
Idiot 68 tried to report and the ref. Didn't hear him and told Dallas 70 was eligible. Why does everyone not see that?? 70 ran up late to confuse Dallas. Well it confused the ref. And they got flagged. Next time don't be so sneaky.

Again…. An interior OL isn’t even eligible to report lol

It’s ok for them to be wrong. People make mistakes. But to double down when it’s on video is stupid.
The coaching staff even goes through these things with the refs pre game to prevent things like this on “trick plays.”
It’s inexcusable for a multibillion dollar league to be this inept with its officiating.
Even if he heard “70,” they watched him line up on the interior (not eligible to report) and it’s an untimed play… you still have time to correct it and they still were oblivious to multiple things going on with that play.
The refs changed the outcome of a game by their incompetence.
In the grand scheme it probably doesn’t change anything with the playoffs but it’s just difficult to watch this stuff keep happening in the NFL.
