Smart bet. Saints and Atlanta always play a close game. Even last year near the end of the season, Saints beat them by only 4 points in Atlanta. Saints are 8-2 SU against the Falcons and one of the lost was when there were no coach. Everybody keep talking about Julio and White are healthy and all. Last year game 1, the Saints D limit Julio to 76 receiving yrds and White to 19yrds. They lost thier monster TE this year and the Saints D will be much better this year. I think the Saints will win straight up by a FG.
Yes, looks like it could go that route... But remember, its a new yr. Forget what you know about these 2 teams and look at it like they were both 8-8 last yr and their draft picks put them even. Who'd have the upper hand then? As of now? On paper, Saints would win 100x out of 50. Things is, this isn't paper. And statistically, Saints have the upper hand. I guess thats why 80% of bettors are on the Saints. Because there's NO WAY Atlanta can cover much less pull of a divisional home dog win. I was never one to be a sheep. So I'm on ATL +3.
Wizard,, That's exactly what I'm thinking..:) cheer buddy..$$$$

Here's a stat no one has mentioned: Saints vs Atl and Atl is a Homedog, saints won10-0 SU and are 7-3 ATS. And I'm STILL taking ATL. I'm a Saints fan btw. But when it comes to emotions, I put em aside when I gamble.

Good insight stil gotta go with my GUT on this one Saints D has improved and drew and his offence crew are going to out score ryan and julio jones.....Like this game allot..
I thought the same thing about Green Bay defense... I think it will be more of a shoot out... Opening day on the road can be tricky... I'd rather put 4k on Denver.... Better team and better QB got embarrassed in the Super Bowl, Denver has something to prove on Sunday.

I hate hate hate the first couple weeks of the season and woudn't dream of taking any serious bets until I see the REAL team playing REAL games with the new kids for a few...
Dropping so much $$ right away seems bold.

Falcons are one of those teams I'm staying far away from (for or against) the first 3 weeks, because I have no clue how much they have rebounded from last year. Previous three years before that they were playoff bound. Last year with all the injuries and drama, they sucked. For me, pre season did not answer enough questions with the falcons.
Instead of the Falcons, give me Miami +4 in a hot and steamy south beach atmosphere. Temps feel like around 100, but on the field more like 120. New England will be melting by halftime. Might look to take Dolphins 2H as well depending on what the halftime score is.
