Lynch had 5 runs this year from the 1yd line, and he scored on ONE of them...

1 for 5 on runs from the 1 yd line...its amazing how people just assume he was going to walk in.

If they run the ball and dont score, now you are calling a timeout with 10 seconds left. 

Its amazing how people assume it was a guaranteed TD if they run the ball....let alone the game was "fixed" because they didnt...

If this game was "fixed" why would they even get down to the goalline??

As stated above, Lynch is not a sure thing from the one.  This is because the other team knows he's getting the ball and keys on him.  As soon as he touched the ball, three Pats would have been nailing him.

Pass was the right call.  Surprise the D.  And if it's incomplete, you still can give it to Lynch.  And if he doesn't make it, you still have a TO and another shot.  You can't anticipate an interception.  Pass was the right call.

That's why Carroll is a head coach and all the yahoos saying it was the worst call ever are not.

A pass play like that is incomplete or a TD 99 of 100 times...its just this one time and defender made a GREAT play...

Seattle ran the ball on 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 1 4 times in the game, and only converted 1 time...

They were 1 for 4 in this game alone....just amazing everyone assumes he scores

Great post from someone else on a different thread.  The play before halftime....it was a "great" call because they got a TD....what if it got picked or tipped up and the clock ran out....everybody would have been saying it was an awful call to not kick the fg....

Just like this play to end the game.  Everyone in the world thought a run was coming, that's why you pass.  It didn't work out, and the CB made a GREAT play....nothing less

Well, what kind of sample should we use?  It was the entire season, I cant make up a stat...

What about during the game, they were 1 for 4 on 3rd down 2 or 3rd down 1 and run plays??

They were 25% in this game alone running it on that distance???

As for shotgun....if they ran the ball it would have been from shotgun anyways because it would have been a read-option play

Exactly....everyone was expecting run, that's why the pass was a good call.  The CB just made the better play....99 of 100 times that doesn't happen
