GucciCapper split the day going 1-1 but fired 3.5 bitcoin on the Cowboys moneyline after the Texans disgrace to be up a bit of money for the day. A 2-0 sweep would have had GucciCapper boozed up for the night, but GucciCapper had a couple of beers and decided to call it a night. GucciCapper is already up (3 am here in California) and has decided to take the bait here.
The Chargers are a great road team this year. They must feel more comfortable playing in a football stadium than a soccer arena. GucciCapper is from California and GucciCapper can't stand the cold. Korea in the winter is usually around 15-25 degrees a day in the winter while GucciCapper is used to a balmy 65-70 degrees out in California. The weather man must have pulled a rabbit out of his hat because the game time temperature will be 51 degrees with slight wind. This is perfect weather for Rivers and the Chargers.
GucciCapper always likes to play the revenge angle and GucciCapper thinks this angle will definitely come into play today. The Chargers couldn't have played a worse game against the Ravens a few weeks ago. With everything on the line (first round bye potentially) Rivers laid an egg. GucciCapper expects Rivers to be a bit more sharp (he will still make a couple of mistakes) but GucciCapper expects the defense to be able to shutdown this Ravens running attack. Gus Bradley has already seen this offense with his own two eyes, and GucciCapper expects him to make the necessary adjustments in order to put Lamar in a lot of 3rd and long situations.
Which brings GucciCapper into the MAIN reason GucciCapper loves this game. EXPERIENCE. Rivers has never been good in the playoffs, but this year has been quite odd. A lot of streaks have been broken and GucciCapper expects Rivers not only to win today, but also in New England next week. To be honest, with the Colts line being so low against the Chiefs, GucciCapper loves the idea of the Chargers going to the superbowl. Win today, beat an over-rated New England squad in New England (with a revenge factor for Rivers) and then possibly host the Colts at home. The path is paved for the Chargers this year, and GucciCapper is going to ride them.
Lamar Jackson is the YOUNGEST QB to ever start a playoff game. Yes, he is good. Yes, he is fast. But with the proper defensive schemes he can be a turnover machine. GucciCapper expects Harbaugh to be at the podium shaking his head. Flacco controversy will set in. Eric Weddle will be sad that his former teammate shredded them. Jackson will say we made the necessary strides this year and look forward to a full season next year. GucciCapper does not see Lamar Jackson playing Tom Brady next week. Just can't see it.
There won't be many times left in Philip Rivers career to have a golden opportunity like this. This is the best Chargers team he has had in GucciCapper's opinion. With Melvin Gordon healthy, this is a completely different team than the Ravens faced a few weeks ago. As the famous ex-Californian Governator said "Go, Chargers, Go".
GucciCapper says screw the points, GucciCapper will take the +130 moneyline. It's do or die for the Chargers, and GuccICapper thinks they will win this game outright.
Championship game tomorrow for GucciCapper. If this works, GucciCapper is going to splurge and sit in the north/south field seats with GuccICapper's own personal recliner, free food and alcoholic drinks, and some of the best seats at the 49ers stadium.
