HOUSTON IS TRAVELING. ITS PRETTY COLD UP HERE IN THE EAST. HOUSTONS SAFETY IS OUT. BEN TATE IS OUT. JETS HAVE THE ADVANTAGE ON SPECIAL TEAMS SO FIELD POSITION IS IMPORTANT FOR STRUGGLING JETS OFFENSE. IM NOT SURE HOW THE SIGNING OF JASON HILL WILL PLAY OUT BUT IT CAN ONLY HELP. AND WHAT IF DK DECIDES TO GIVE IT A GO. CROMARTIE WILL BE ON AJ AND HE BOASTS HE IS THE BEST CORNER IN THE LEAGUE NOW THAT REVIS IS OUT. AND HOUSTONS RECEIVING CORPS IS NOT THAT GREAT W/O AJ. RAZORSHARPS MADE ME TAKE A DEEPER LOOK INTO THIS GAME SINCE HE CLAIMED IT WAS HIS P.O.Y. AND I AM CONVINCED. THE JETS ALSO WON IN 2010. FINAL WAS 30-27. SANCHEZ WAS FANTASTIC THROUGH THE AIR. Hey there SuperCappa. Saw your note, and wanted to check out your thread. I read your writeup, and I think it's great, also, I cannot disagree with anything you wrote there either. It's a solid argument for backing the Jets. I went with the other side because I think the lack of talent, particularly on the offensive side of the ball, will really catch up with the Jets in the 2nd half.

Good luck tonight, while I can't root for you, I won't be rooting against you, if that makes any sense.

have come against teams who like to run other than Denver which plays in their favor. Manning exposed their secondary a little and I know the Jets like to mix things.

HOUSTON has the best defence  in the nfl.....  trust me this game will not be close no matter what the weather is. cold, hot, rain, sleet, snow, hail.... @roberob2uStatistics and matchups mean a lot to me when I cap games. If I lose this game it means nothing to me cause its a small play. But if I may ask? Which Houston win are you impressed by? I&#39;m not impressed with any all that much. Mia, Jack, Ten. They&#39;re suppose to smash those teams and Denver gave them a run with a rusty Peyton Manning who&#39;s clearly in the final stage of his career.

i dont think you can count their last meeting back in 2010...not only that wade phillips wasnt there...ummm so wasnt jonathon joseph, daniel manning, jj watt, and connor barwin...they all came to the team last year...and made sucha crucial improvement in their defense that they let go demeco ryans (their best LB for all his years in houston) and mario williams (who people consider to be top 5 if not top 10 DE in the league) and they STILL haven't missed a beat this year.

peyton manning is probably not at his prime right now..but he improved as the season went on....and if you wanna talk bout yesterdays game with the patriots..that was obviously his receivers fault for not catching passes that could've extended drives and most likely put points on the point...In Example: D. Thomas dropping fumbling the ball on their 1st drive which could've been an easy score..and willis mcgahees not making key catches when it counted especially on 4th down. Not to mention....mark sanchez is NO where near peyton manning...peyton manning can be 45 years old and mark sanchez would still not be better than him.

@SUPERCAPPA.. have u really watched any football this yr or are u just on here to convince people to play the jets... jets are 1 of the biggest jokes in football i have seen in many many yrs... rex ryan is one of the worst footbal coaches in the nfl.. period.. i see that u just joined covers and that makes me think that u work for the GUY just like half these people on here.. trust me i keep track of people on here.. If i recall, houston beat 2 of those teams u speak about by 20 points.. And to go to denver and beat that team was outstanding... Miami has a great defence that i think is better than the jets D.. So u might want to do some more research befor u make a fool of yourself.. i am so pissed right now because of guys like you. and if u say matchups mean alot to you. WOW, are u joking me to say that the jets matchup with houston in any way... example. Ehh, this is coming from a biased texans fan from houston ... from what I can tell ... after watching almost every texans game in the last several years ... the weakness in the texans defense is right up the middle.  Their nose tackle is under weight and not very strong ... so teams that can run right up the middle ... have a chance.  Also, they really run like a 5-2 than a 3-4 defense ... most of the time Barwin and Reed are up in the stance AT the line of scrimmage (base defense).  So u have five dudes flying at the quarterback and only 2 linebackers reading and reacting ... so teams that have great screen plays also eat up big yardage from time to time.  Regarding *their secondary being exposed* comment ... I&#x27;d have to disagree ... Manning was playing from behind in the second half so he was forced to throw, throw, throw and the texans were giving him the short plays but as long as they didn&#x27;t give up the big one.  Their corners are top tier in coverage ... Joseph and Jackson (finally, he had a terrible rookie year) can match up with most any pair of wideouts in this league.  Their secondary is extremely underrated by most counts.  Most of the hype goes to their front seven.  Either way, good luck on your play ... I&#x27;d say the punchless Jets are gunna have a rude awakening if they think the team from 2010 is gunna show up at their front door.

Rober, I get what you&#39;re saying, but SuperCappa isn&#39;t doing that, rather, he&#39;s offering the reason(s) why he is backing the Jets tonight.  I personally am on the Texans tonight, and have offered my reasons for that pick in my thread.  While I do see the game ending differently than SuperCappa does, I do agree with his reasoning. This is what makes these forums great.  You can get all sorts of different perspectives on the games, but in the end you gotta make the choice yourself. Good luck tonight with your picks

cromartie got murdered by dez bryant to the point where revis had to cover him. with or without ben tate is not really an issue... keep in mind cushing is from jersey so that d will be pumped. houston has never beaten the jets yet theyre giving -9... im from houston though so my pick is biased.

OK everyone. I&#39;ve decided I will play the Under instead. A few good people and one pissed off Guy who forgot to see his counseler today have finally made me think otherwise. With that being said I truly believe the smarter play is on the Under. Under Jets 40@roberoSince you never gave me any reason as to why you predicted a score of 34-14, I&#39;m fading those numbers. Seven touchdowns is an awful lot.
