why is there a debate? Say they kick the pat. If I you were a raven fan I would not be comfortable with Rodgers having 42 seconds and a time out. That's more then enough to get in fg range. Seen rodgers do it a ton of times before. Ravens weren't going to stop them anyway, gb got conservative when up by 14, game should have been put away earlier.
If you are down by 14 and can come all the way back to tie the game then you should feel very comfortable and confident at that point.
What do you mean by Ravens weren't going to stop them anyway? They stopped GB twice and score on them twice, isn't it?

Imo you kick the xp Tucker doesn't miss Analytics doesn't account for the situation They were at home they had the momentum There doesn't seem to me a reason to force it when the flow of the game is on your side That said, grey area. But in this situation i kick the xp because i feel like I've got the momentum and I'm at home Pack has 1 timeout i doubt the press it. But if ravens get 2 they would The problem with analytics is it can't take into account the feel of the game. It's a bunch of math ruled, that's it. Go for 2 and tge win every time, no matter what
You think Packers would take a knee with 42 seconds and 1 timeout...Then I got sand to sell you Bud...Rodgers had under 30 seconds and no timeouts down 3 vs SF and got them in FG range and won the game in OT....The guy is the most clutch QB with little time left and needing points..Done it all season...

Once again guys.... WHAT WOULD THE LINE BE The title of this thread is "Harbaughs stupidity knows no limits" Would the line be an underdog of that 2 point conversion?? Does that make Harbaugh have stupidity that knows no limits? I think you guys are all avoiding this because it clears up the whole conversation. You guys have results bias. The line would have been a FAVORITE. ANYONE WHO IS MAKING AN ARUGMENT THAT HE SHOULDNT HAVE GONE FOR 2 NEEDS TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION
The line doesn’t tell the full story. What would the line be for an 80% shooter taking free throws in the 3rd quarter with his team up 10 vs taking them with no time on the clock with his team down 2?! Line would be the exact same, but that doesn’t mean the two situations are comparable in real life. Life is not simply math, it’s a whole lot of other variables, including human emotions.

You seem very confident that you can read these "human emotions" and make good decisions based on them. As do most people. But most people are wrong more than they are right. It is a human flaw to go against math and statistics for your perceptions. Some win, most lose.
For every 1 of you who say it was wrong - for the EXACT SAME REASONS - there is someone saying it was right. I prefer non-human decision making criteria.

I hear you.
But I am afraid I strongly disagree with you.

If BAL convert the 2 points, GB would still score because they have Rodgers. But we do not know if that is true or not. Well, GB couldn't score the last two possessions.
If BAL fail to convert the 2 points, they are done! Basically gift wrap the game to GB. We know this is true.
The main point here is that "BAL is not for sure winning even if they are converting the 2 points but they are for sure losing if they are failing to convert"

I knew he was going for 2 if he had the chance. It would be dumb not to.
You stopped Green Bay from scoring a total of 3 times the entire game. The first drive, the drive before the half, and the drive they were just trying to milk the clock. They had been moving at will, hitting every third down the entire game.
It was 100% the right call to go for 2. But he's just 0-2 this season doing it.
Anyways, the game next week matters more. All tied up with Cincy for the division.

gb was playing situational football, running to kill the clock, not turn it over. alot different then stopping rodgers on potential game winning drive

How about having 16 against a dealer 10 in blackjack? Are you going to tell me that hitting is dumb because you only have a 20% chance of winning the hand by hitting?
Sometimes you take best worst choice. And hitting in that BJ situation is best LONG TERM, as is going for 2.

lf this is the NCAAF national champ game, would the (underdog) team that tie the game in the exact time situation go for two or they would kick the xp and go into OT?
Let's use two teams so we can relate - BAMA and Geogia, BAMA and Michigan, etc ...

How many players are the Ravens missing? Huntley is a back up QB....On the other side is Rodgers...Not all things were equal this game hence the +9.5 spread at home...Also it was not a must win game for the Ravens..they still control their own destiny.. Beat Cincy next week

Best kicker in the game so point-after was pretty much guaranteed....not that that factored in the decision. I think they should have kicked and gone to overtime. The fact that he idiotically didn't would VERY MUCH affect my decision to go foward with Harbaugh next year. It was that stupid of a thing to do. Young qb looked good and season might have been saved.
No need to outrun the bear...just the next slowest guy

Favorite with the backup QB who hasnt started a game all season, sure, right
Maybe with Lamar
