Lets see what he does in the next 3 weeks. Beating the Patriots would impress me. Beating the Chargers...not so much.
If the Broncos can beat the Patriots (with Tebow doing what he has been) than I'll give him all the praise that he would deserve. But that won't happen.
So if he loses against Pats what will his record be? Wins only count against good teams? How did Orton do to start year?

Phyllis Rivers was better ? Sparky you're smarter than this.
Sports is about winning. No matter how you win. Ugly or Pretty.
Winning is winning.
You're right. Winning is the most important part. And the Broncos are going to make the playoffs. But what does the win matter if you don't go far in the playoffs? Just like Elway said.

I don't get it. I'm the "fool" and I'm the "moron"...yet everyone continues to say that Tebow is the "winner" and there have been about 3 guys who actually gave credit to the defense.
When they face the Patriots...Brady will throw all over the defense, and if a game is out of hand, Tebow can't do anything to get them back into the game. He can't go back and fourth with offenses.
Keep grasping at straws dude. He doesn't win the game by himself, it is a total TEAM effort.
However, when Tim Tebow is your quarterback, he will find a way to get the W by any means neccesary. It doesn't have to be pretty, it doesnt have to fill the stat sheet.
All he does is WIN. no matter where he goes, no matter what he does. Tim Tebow is a WINNER. Not sure why you can't accept that

Orton faced good teams. But I'm not comparing because Orton sucks.
I don't know about you...but I'm not satisfied with making the playoffs and being one and done when you face a good team. And The Broncos will be in that exact spot.
And yes...wins are more important against good teams. As I said earlier, as a Giants fan, I didn't care that the Giants started off as they did because I knew they were facing great teams the rest of the way and it would be far from a cake walk. And that's what happened last year and what's happening this year for the Giants.
Tebow, on the other hand, has yet to face a playoff contender.

In the NFL QB's get too much credit when they win and too much flack when they lose. It was like that before Tim Tebow and it will be like that after Tim Tebow.

Ive also said before in this thread.

And then this thread gets bumped up after McGehee ran the ball to get into field goal range after Tebow was stopped on a 3rd and 2 run. Insisting that Tebow is still great because he took the snaps during the Broncos' 5th win in 6 games.

I didn't bump it. I know you dont care but I lose respect for you everytime you keep responding to peoples comments.
It feels like you know you are wrong but can't admit it. Pretty sad
I'm done with this thread. Just hope Linesmakers keep giving me Tebow and the Broncos +180. I'll eat that all day and cash my ticket on the Broncos like I have the last 4 weeks.

I think you are missing the point, they are 1 game back of playoffs which IMO they arent close with Orton. Say what you want but Tebow is a winner.

Sparky how many teams in any sports play every year and don't make the playoffs. You and I know it's all about $ and luck. Look at your Yankees did they win championships with a low budget and no-names ? So be realistic this is sports. Denver is a good team with Tebow. Not the Packers. Expectation is a great thing.

No. I'm wrong by you and all of Tebow's admirers' standards.
I feel that, there is no way that he keeps winning and can win against good teams doing what he is doing unless the Broncos' defense is, like compared to earlier in this thread, Ravens'-esc with Dilfer as QB.
I'm in the position within this arguement where I CAN'T be wrong until he does what I say he can't do and that's win consistantly and against good teams.

Would you rather have tebow or andy dalton as a leader who wins ugly,or cam newton who puts up great stats, hotdogs it in the endzone for the fans, but loses and has no leadership skills? I'll take the ugly wins and let the pretty losses stay at home during the playoffs

I understand. But the point is...will Tebow bring you to a Super Bowl? I say no. And it seems like John Elway says no too. And is that really what a team aims for? Is your franchise player really going to be the guy who could beat the teams he's supposed to but not beat good teams?
And time will only tell who he is. Right now...I'm wrong and everyone else is right because he's winning and has yet to face a true contender. And I will only get a chance to defend my case in 2 games. Once against the Patriots and than a game in the playoffs. I can't consider the Bears game an easy Bears win without Cutler.
I'm giving my opinion while everyone else is giving facts. It will be another season before we can really tell who Tebow is. But right now...this competition isn't proving a damn thing to me other than he doesn't turn the ball over a lot.

Sorry Tim Tebow can't beat teams he hasn't played yet. He beats who is put infront of him.
You know that you have said that you're "done with this thread" multiple times already, right?
You're right. He can't beat teams he hasn't played. And when he does...it will prove that I am right. But all of you guys in Tebow's Cult won't care about that saying that it's "just one game". I know for a fact that will be said. And on top of that...I can say you guys are saying how much of a "winner" Tebow is after such a small sample size.

So you're comparing quarterbacks as opposed to the team that each plays for? That's not fair. Put Tebow on the Panthers with that horrific defense and see how well he fairs. And lets see him face New Orleans and Atlanta twice a season.

Hhaha so basically you are saying unless he goes undefeated the rest of his career he will be a bust.
Aaron Rogers lost last year to the Redskins, that means he isn't a winner.
Yeah I'm in Tebows Cult because its hard as hell to win a game in the NFL and this guy just continues to win week after week after week after week after week after week.
I know I said I'm done with this thread but I can't sit around and ignore ignorance.
My advice to you: Buy a dictionary, look up the word hater and see if it doesn't describe you.
