Houston/Jax line jump

jumped to 6.5 this afternoon?

 

Anyone have any info why?

because jax blows and everyone & their dog is on HOU this week

both public and sharps liked hou -3.5

well the right answer is that Jax is banged up on the defensive side. 5+ startes are on the injury report. Also the return of AJ80 had a part in it..Also i think vegas relaized 3.5 was way to low. Hou is gonna pound the rock against the Jax D control clock, and wont give Lienart the opportunity to turn the ball over. So it jumped.. I still like Hou -6.5 also the under of 37.5

ok so vegas would rather get killed on this one becuase approx 90 of the action was on Hou...and jax is the worst offensive team going against the best defensive team..and they are only a 6.5 point fave (jax gets 3 for homefied as we all know) and i did say AJ had a part in it..but he alone isnt worth 3 points after missing 6 weeks with leinart throwing to him..lezbehonest

Vegas obviously didn't realize this when they set the opening line. They are lazy like that.

obviously the answer to your question is what was posted by MetalBill in the first response... most of the other responses are just usual Covers background clutter...


AJ is playing... that's why the line jumped... sucks because i hadn't put in my bet on Houston yet, and would probably have them (-3.5) without Johnson, then have to lay (-6.5) with him, possibly rusty...

Niner is 100% correct to give you shit for this statement... Vegas is not some collective body that has secret meetings and decides to suddenly move a line 3 points... "Vegas" also does not "realize" 3 point line-moves in the middle of the week...

they might "realize" it is a bad line when some sharp mother fucker lays 2 million on the game... then they will "realize" it's off by 3 points...

but not just on a whim!

To one of the clowns above: I asked for a REAL answer...not a 4th grade typical Covers answer. A line moves 3 points for a reason mid week; not due to some mythical nonsense as cited in this thread.

big niner think ur top shit eh.. 9ers are finally good ur gonna bash everyone im so smart but i ask dumb questions .. the line has been moving up all week started at -3  it was at 4 yesterday today 4.5 then 6 tonite  and with the recent new aj is playing ppl are going to pound houston so they move the line trying to make it 50/50 on action 1.5 points for all pro player is much there smart guy.. u know if tom brady  is out, big niner asking hey guys why did the pats line drop 6 points.. then bash every person cuz this guy thinks hes so smart..what did u go to college?

I started a thread about this earlier. Honestly, I have a hard time figuring this one out. 

My question is... what took this so long, and is it really going to stop at 6.5?

+7 would be a nice number and could be the right side, but my gut is screaming HOU 24-7. I can't get that number out of my head. 

I know me, I'll end up on Houston and I can see this tragedy already

its not so bad that the question is so dumb, and one minute of looking at the injury report would provide an answer but damn dont ask a question so obvious and then lash out at anyone because you dont like an answer

It's not a dumb question at all.  Lines in the NFL rarely move like this.  And still I don't think we've gotten to the real answer.
