The Panthers should blow this Giants team out. Yes, can't argue with you on that and I am a Giants fan for long time. However, the line should be Panthers -7 at least. Panthers at -4 sounds too goo to be true. Everyone was saying the NY Jets would blow out the Cowboys and look what happened. I am not saying the Giants win, but I think they cover with a line this low.

Jets @ Cowboys is a far different game compared to this one.
Jets went toe to toe with an equally poor Giants team and won by three. The result was no different last night.
The Jets have nowhere near the dominance nor the offensive firepower (and at an elite level the defense neither) when compared to Carolina. And the Giants are not all that better than Dallas, needing some big time breaks to beat them without Romo.

Went against the Panthers in almost every instance you just mentioned. Thought those were good situation spots to go against them and they defied my expectations. Learned my lesson and have betted the Panthers the last two weeks
The only team I can see the Panthers losing to in the Playoffs are the Seahawks. If they meet in the NFC championship I will have to take the Seahawks + the points and possibly ML
No way these Giants can beat the Panthers....
Sip on that plus money honey!

No play for me but good luck.

The motivation angle is what counts here, which you pretty much glossed over. The Panthers care about winning the Super Bowl, being undefeated doesn't mean as much to them as we think it does, neither does being the best or worst undefeated team.
Last week they locked up a first round bye and had their largest margin of victory EVER as a franchise in a shutout win. The next week they are not even a TD favorite? That should set alarm bells ringing.
They're better than the Giants but really they just don't want anymore injuries. I don't see Riverboat Ron gambling much tonight.

Agreed. I think this game will be closer than everyone thinks. I could see Carolina winning by FG. This game reminds me of the New England/Giants game earlier this year when you had a 10-0 or 9-0 Patriots team favored by 7 and barely won and they had all the motivation at that time. Carolina has everything all ready locked up with playoffs, home field, etc.

Not only didn't I gloss over it, I addressed it fully.
I spoke about the team's motivations facing the Panthers. All the teams that faced them the past three weeks were desperate for a win. They crushed three of the 4 and dropped 41 on the 4th.
The Panthers were arguably the same as this week: not fully motivated to win any of those games and did so in impressive fashion, three of four on the road!
Then I told you about the Giants motivation which is there but won't get under this number. They do not have the talent or the guts this year and have proven time and time again against mostly mediocre competition except the Pats.
Even the Patriots game covered because of an INT by the Giants at the one yard line! Otherwise that could have easily fallen outside the number (and let's face it, they lost that game too).
They locked up a first round bye but not the number one seed which is extremely important to them! (And that YOU just glossed over).

Guys come on. I've heard this a half dozen times today:
13-0
Vs.
11-2
How does Carolina have home field locked up....

Welp. No excuses, I was wrong. The Giants had the opportunities but they literally dropped them all. If Beckham scored on that first drive I think the game would have been much different, but this just seems to be Carolina's year, they have gotten plenty of breaks this year but that's more often a result of their effort on every play.

I pushed this but this at -3 but this is by far my most brutal posted moose. I had no problem posting at -4. If they want to give up 28 in 15 minutes of play so be it. That's one them. Thank god I don't do this for a living.
Don't think it will ever be topped in terms of a backdoor. Memories of Oilers Bills in 1993 playoffs.
And to all those who posted that it's a nice winner early, it's all good! I don't believe in jinxes.
2015 NFL: 5-1
