Ya you have to assume that Edelman is going to be on Cruz. I mean, he was on Boldin and noone else is showin up to cover his ass. He'll get help on everything but those long drag routes which take time so if the Pats can get pressure they can at least contain the big play from him. With Nicks back you have to assume McCourty will be on him due to his size. Arrington on Manningham is what I would guess.
You never know though from Bill Belichick those slot receivers/tight ends were doubled alot of the game. As a Pats fan I'm nervous about their efficiency on 3rd down defense. They forced 17 3rd down situations against the Ravens and Balt converted 9 of them for over 50%...it's what plagued them last year.
Patriot defenders led the league in interception opportunity % and if Eli just goes chuck-n-duck like he does so often the Patriots will catch balls that the Niners didnt.....
