I'm still diggin' but there was a game back in the early weeks that a TD was scored with no time on the clock in regulation and they didn't kick the PAT - I can't remember what game it was but I remember it vividly.  I guess I don't understand the rule.

was it college?  Colorado didn't kick the extra point on Friday after that garbage TD

i don't know if it's the nfl or ncaa rules but if a team returns a pat they get 2 points.  i assume it's the nfl since they did kick the extra point with 0:00 on the clock

ncaa no extra point if score happens with no time left if it has no impact and is not to tie or break tie

That only pertains to college.  In the NFL, if you attempt to kick the PAT, even if blocked, it cannot be advanced.  The ball is blown dead.
