Purdy will be TB12's back up next season,,,49ers will be all in next year and will mortgage their future to win now,,,however if Hurts avoids getting injured, Philly is going to keep being one of the dominant teams in the NFC for the next 5+ years as they are incredibly deep at all the skilled positions, and Hurts/Devonte combo will only get better with experience
Lance will be dealt and the organization will finally come to accept their awful mistake.
Jimmy G needs a new beginning where there will he minimal pressure to win, where he can just be Mediocre Jimmy for a mediocre franchise like Saints, Ravens or Redskins

If the Ravens were in this SB vs the Eagles, what's the spread? I'm thinking Ravens -13.5, books would have to keep us guessing if they would want to win by 2 td's or not.

It's crazy to think that they are one of the best teams in football right now, and that their QB at the moment is 3rd string rookie Brock Purdy. I'm just thinking way ahead here, for what's down the road for the Niners. Remember they gave up 3 1st rd picks for Trey Lance, 2021, 2022 and 2023 to the Dolphins. Then this year they trade away their 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks in 2023, and a 4th rd pick in 2024 to the Panthers for McCaffrey. They are kind of all in for right now. Any more key injuries moving forward, and they'll find it hard to replace their talent in the next couple years. If Trey Lance ends up being a bust, this team could regress to Rams status fairly quickly. The league changes fast.
Please read, and don't say that Sac didn't tell ya so.

@supermanbets So so WRONG. LANCE can read a D, he's no Kaepernick. Athletically he's superior to Purdy. Purdy caught lightning in a bottle, makes quick decisive decisions but lacks the athleticism needed in today's game. Darnold is better than Purdy. Purdy is another Jimmy G. Remember when Jimmy first came to Niners and won every game?!?! The Purdy kid I love and he will have a LONG career in NFL as a BACKUP.
Purdy has a better pocket presence and way better accuracy than Lance. Lance is capable of making a terrific difficult throw every now and then, but will only actually do that 3-4 times a game. The rest of the time it’s vanilla offense with him.

Darnold is better than Purdy? Amazing that we can view this guy so differently. I am not sure that Darnold is better than Mitch Trubisky and I think he sucks a$$.

They rushed Lance in instead of having him sit for a season..this whole league wants NFL ready QBs but not every QB in the draft is built the same in my opinion some need more time to develop the mental skill and NFL speed reading defenses with film study.. I’ll just say.. Lance did not look good entering but he hasn’t had a whole season things change in a season.. Jimmy Garoppolo might be done with San Francisco he just can’t stay healthy and I think that is the main reason they drafted Lance.. I think he still gets his chance since he hasn’t played at all season wise.. but he definitely doesn’t look good right now at this point in time.. Brock Purdy looks like he read defenses pretty well and is quick thinking decisive when defenses are aggressive.. he doesn’t have a big arm but I don’t think you need a big arm in a shanahan scheme.. they may have tape on him throughout the season but he is mobile enough which is what you need in this mobile qb League.. it seems like the pocket passing QB is a thing of the past for now because of the lack of talent coming out in the draft as far as offensive lines go but everything becomes a throwback eventually.. I’m sure once offensive line talent starts coming out again copy cat league will revert back to pocket passers dominating.. obviously not all teams i guess with Brock Purdy you have to ask yourself what kind of defenses did he face at Iowa St which helped build his skill of reading defenses.. some players fold under pressure and some players play better.. he had 4 years under his belt right? That says a lot and it shows.. he seems fearless of the moment from what I have seen but only time can tell.. I guess we’ll all see what happens going forward.. with even more pressure.. I am curious to see how he does on the road versus a divisional team with its back against the wall.. and or better defenses..playoffs as well
