Back at it for another year. Won't be able to do my line projections and mis-matches and QB rankings this year...just don't have the time for it sadly. But I do have time for capping games and hopefully nailing down some winners. Hope to see some friendly faces in here once again...and to all the newbies...welcome aboard as well. Let's F'n Go!
Buffalo @ LA Rams OVER 52 ($110 to win $100)
Showcase game for the NFL as the Rams get their Super Bowl swag and the Bills get to see a potential preview of what that experience could be like for them. Bills offense was an absolute UNIT last season with the dual threat of Josh Allen and the incredible receiving of Stefon Diggs. They were relatively quiet in the offseason, but Von Miller is a nice veteran get that will sure up that middle of the defense. Corners and safeties are decent, not great, it's a defense that you can put up some points against. That's what I look for from the Rams is staying aggressive. Great teams don't rebuild, they reload, and I would certainly call bringing in Allen Robinson and Bobby Wagner. My gut tells me over in this game because the weakest part of both of these teams is more than likely the secondary. There are a couple big names with Jalen Ramsey, Jordan Poyer, TreDavious White...but I don't see this one being a slow it down run through the trenches type of matchup. Big play potential all over the place along with both teams trying to showcase their talents.
Prediction: Rams 30 Bills 27

Philadelphia @ Detroit UNDER 48.5 ($110 to win $100)
Jalen Hurts has some incredible buzz about him and the Eagles spent a ton of money in the offseason bringing in talented players in hopes of speeding up the rebuild. I think it's a strong possibility that they see a little bit of a speed bump as defenses and coordinators find a way to limit Hurts. I'm very interested in seeing the Lions this year...they have some nice weapons on the outside to see if Goff can give them anything...Swift and Williams as running backs are decent....Hockenson is obviously a top 5-6 tight end in the league. The defense has some decent young talented players and adding Aiden Hutchinson should make them much more formidable. Teams could move the ball up and down the field against them last year...but Dan Campbell is heading into his second year and as a defensive guy he will improve that side.

Living in New England and having to watch their preseason games I feel confident in saying that this is not a good offense. Mac Jones is fine, he's accurate, smart, doesn't make mistakes...but even last year with Josh McDaniels as OC they were a vanilla offense. It's a lot of 2 yard runs followed by bubble screens followed by a hopeful 3rd and 5 slant or out pattern. Parker, Myers, and Bourne doesn't really scare anyone. The defense is still legit though, despite the loss of JC Jackson to the Chargers. Until they prove me otherwise, I can't see the Pats getting over 20 points very often, so that puts the Dolphins putting up 26/27+ and I'm not sold on that. I'm sure Belicheck will focus on Hill and make other guys beat them.

Bigger play on this one as it should be the blowout of the week whether Zac Wilson plays or not. The Ravens are looking to prove that they belong in the top tier of the AFC...and this is a good chance to get off to a great start. Not a fan of their receiving core, we'll see if Bateman can become a number 1 type guy, and the injury concerns with the running backs are there again...but if Lamar wants to get paid by the Ravens he's the one who has to step up. I loved their draft picks with Hamilton and Linderbaum...and I expect them to take over the AFC North after a nice story in the Bengals last year.
Prediction: Ravens 31 Jets 16

Should see a huge improvement from the Jaguars this year both on and off the field. Urban Meyer was a desperation move to generate buzz, and it failed miserably. Etienne's health will be a big story and could give them a bunch of weapons on offense alongside Robinson...Kirk and the 3 Jones receivers should be nicely balanced, and bringing in a big man like Evan Engraham should give Lawrence a nice security blanket if their offensive line gives out. The Commanders will be without Chase Young, and I've long been on the Wentz isn't great train. He had one nice stretch while teams had no film on him and he was accurate, but that's about it. I don't think they compete in the NFC East this season and I really like the Jags to get a nice road win.

Hopefully for you, the Pats won't break 10 points, because Miami is definitely going to put up 35 on this team. The defense is going to put the offense in short field position situations all day long. This is definitely the blowout of week 1! Pats are a 6 win team this year...

I like this over ...
Tre White is on the pup list for the first 4 weeks ....The Bills defense was #1 without him last year, they play mostly zone....
With the NFL telling the refs to call more illegal contacts I'd lean over on almost every game ..
BEST OF HEALTH, HAPPINESS,WEALTH, BLESSINGS and LUCK TO ALL !!

Added this one on late. Vikings are a good solid team and a popular pick to do well in the NFC North and maybe take it from the Packers. Simply a play against the injuries for the Packers. Vikings are as healthy as they will ever be...and I like them to win one early and then lose to Green Bay later on the road. Cousins knows that he needs to step up and prove that he can lead a team to the playoffs and deep into them...if not, he might be looking for a new job next year.
