If you check the thread when he was first traded half of the people said it was worth and the other half said it was the dumbest trade ever.  I still think it was the dumbest trade ever. this might go down in the history books if denver goes far.  You have to realize that one man does not win championships its a team effort.  I hate chicago and always hated them and im glad denver is successful. i hope they can keep this up the whole year

we'll see doosh, look at this trade in a long-term perspective...the bears have a franchise QB and we're goin to build a better offense around him in the future...Orton better lead this team to a superbowl cuz champ bailey and brian dawkins will soon be gone and in my opinion the broncos are good enough to win the division cuz it's shitty, they won't go farther than that

im loving how this is panning out.. its shows how little of importance cutler really was to denver, if anything he was a hinderence that kept turning the ball over.. now its not all Cutlers fault that denver lost 7 RBs last year and put the DEFENSE in a terrible position along with Cutler trying to carry the entire team.. on the other side of the coin now the bears think they are a passing team, which cutlers arm would be good for with the wind in those parts, but have no wideouts and they have abandoned the run and are still a .500 ball club, with no draft picks.. Bears

for the record Cutler has a much better arm than Orton, but Ortons decision making is way better than Culters.. also Orton has a winning track record, when was the last time Cutler had a winning record?? Highschool?  lol

those draft picks we dont have next year won't matter once the bears get a WR in the off season.  The broncos better resign marshall during the season and not test for free agency cuz there will be teams, including the bears that'll give him the money in an uncapped year.  Remember doosh, nolan's the reason why the broncos are what they are, not orton...

Kinda hard to have a winning record with the 30th ranked defense.....even with the 3RD best offense in the leaguewhich had the 15 th best run game so Cutlers arm was doing all the work and his stats show it...

Bears wrs/te combos may not be great but they arent looking that bad....good enough to drive 90 yds in the last  2 mins Sunday night....they didnt finish but that was because of Pace then Olsen doesnt do his job to free Clark......

I dont know how you Denver fans think getting rid of Cutler improved your defense 29 spots

2 things for me : Denver has better WR's and a better OLine than Chicago its a fact, yesterday game it was incredible all the time that Orton had to find his targerts, i mean a lot of time...

Second, Orton actually takes cares of the ball something Cutler has not learned til today, he takes bad gambles, Sunday Night game he drove his team to red zone territory only to throw an INT when he could be patient and took 3 points instead of nothing, i see Cutler as a gambler, a dangerous one, sometimes he win, sometimes he doesnt,  he takes all in or nothing ....

o.k. doosh i understand it was better for the future. but how can you build a future with no number one picks for two years? u dont. from what i recall san diego was supposed to run away with this division becasue it was shitty. so now since san diego is shitty this makes denver shitty? yes we will see long runas for right now the trade WAS MADE FOR THE SHORT FOR CHICAGO AND IT APPARENTLY AINT WORKING.  sure is benefiting the broncos.  i hope chicago is below .500 and denver makes the playoffs. i will be back and throwing this shit in ur face. good luck with the future cause it looks fading fast. im just waiting for jay to implode.

And Cutler wasn't a short term fix numb nuts.  They already signed him for two more years.  You really think this trade was to bring a franchise quarterback for one year and move on? You're clearly fucking stupid.  Where was this thread during the pre-season and right after the trade occurred?  Real easy to call it the best trade ever after a 6-0 start.   By the way, thats 37% of the season, and not including the playoffs.  This entire thread is fucking stupid, and filled with illogical homers.

I know, a lot of Bears Homers on Covers, WAY more than Bronco Homers. Look it up, I didn't say shit when this trade was made or after Cutler went to Denver in the Pre-Season and showed up Josh McDaniels, I'm sure there were lots of Bears homers then.  you know, 80% of the people on this site are full of shit. I have bet the Broncos 3 times and have cashed 3 times.

I could care less if you win or lose this bet.  For the record, I bet the Broncos Monday night.  I'm not hating this team by any means. I am hating the argument.  It's pointless.  You could say that last year, your team would have won 4 less games without Cutler.  With a defense as dog shit as last season's, the only chance you stood was a guy winging it down the field and trying to put 40+ points up a game.  But then, who knows? No one. 
This year the Broncos have an entirely different team - making this thread useless. And it's mainly Bronco homers boasting about their 6-0 record.  

I remember when Orton was on Heisman watch until he was benched in college..... Could we be in for another drunken free fall?

I think we should forgo the rest of the season and playoffs, and just hand the Broncos the Lombardi.

06 Broncos 2-3  choked at home in the season finale very the lowly 49ers as a 10 point fav

07 Broncos 7-9

09 Broncos 8-8 got completely dominated by the chargers in the finale, oh did i mention this team was up 3.5 games with 4 to play? lost all 4 games at the end of the season.. if it wasn't for a hocullie call this team would have been 7-9 again

28-54 as a starter...

ortons INT % is 2.5 21 career fumbles in 33 starts or 0.64 a game

culter's is 3.2 is 29 in 37 starts or 0.78 a game

so, don't give me this "protect the ball" bullshit.

cutler throws .7 more interceptions per 100 pass attempts than kyle.

he also statistically gives up .14 more fumbles per game, which over a 16 game season is 2 more fumbles.

Given culter's number of pass attempts vs. kyle's, I would call those stats an even PUSH.

So, if you think Orton is this brilliant game manager who never turns it over, that's fine -- by that measure, so is Culter because their stats are nearly identical.

look no need to get mad its just the facts.  r u thinking of ways for the bears to build for next year. oh yeah i forgot u guys aint got a first round pick. my bad cutler for the future right. two more years of his cry baby ass.  we will see by the end of the year.  oh by the way the division is shitty remember. denver's going and chicago aint.  haha.  the trade was supposed to make bears superbowl contenders and denver rebuilding.  i understand its still early but teams that start the year 6-0 has a pretty high percentage of making the playoffs

Most of these Denver fans are saying Orton isnt the long term solution..Good luck drafting to fill this need...its a crapshoot at best.....

Short term mean Cutler signing an ext like he did today?Isnt next year uncapped....doesnt Chi have more money now not having to sign unproven rookies...take a look at the Bears first round picks last 15yrs ....i think theyll be ok w/o drafting a bust and a second stringer...and wasnt Knox selected with one of the picks....he will be in the running for ROY

Cutlers two fav targets in Chi are a rookie and a second year player....5 games and they look pretty good and have had a chance to win EVERY game...you guys all acting like Bears losses were blowouts...both came down to the very end...and were full of mistakes by EVERYBODY not just Cutler...if the Bears had scored on the last play off a tipped pass in the GB game or if Mannelly snaps it to the kicker instead of trying to draw a penalty are we having this conversation?

Yes because you all bash Cutler its clear you all hate him...and Chi fans could care less..Cutlers done enough to win all these games nothing more can be said...

The Bears are in NEED of an offensive line.  They cannot run the ball if they tried and you can't be one dimensional.  If this keeps happening come November/December, they will not make the playoffs.

with or without an offensive line they will not make the playffs. lets look at the teams in the nfc for a second

the West only one team will go either seattle sf or arizona

the South can have two either no or atl

the east can have two or three dall, gmen, eagles

the north can have two or three gb, chi, minny

thats leaves a possibility of 11 teams for 6 slots.  they are not going to make it. they will have to go 10-6 at the worst to make the playoffs? no way.  i have them under 8' wins for the season and i still like that bet.  too tougha road ahead for them

south indy for sure maybe houston

north maybe three cincy balt or pitt

west maybe ne

thats eight teams there.  denver chances are greater with fewer teams. you can add miami or jets in the mix
