Hello and welcome to the first ever season long forum contest! This is a free to play forum contest that will be starting first week of the NFL regular season. Contests guidelines and rules are below. BOL to all

Contest Guidelines:

OBJECT OF THE GAME
Pick Winners - The object of this game is to pick a single winning team straight-up each week. If your team wins, you advance to the next week, and you can't pick that team again. If your team loses or ties, you are eliminated from the pool. The winner is the last person to advance into the next week while all other players have been eliminated. Spreads and Totals DO NOT count as picks.

ELIMINATION
This pool is single elimination. You are eliminated from the contest upon making an incorrect pick.

SUBMITTING WEEKLY PICKS
ColinMac and Djbrow are the contest managers. EACH WEEK, you are REQUIRED to send a direct message to ColinMac and Djbrow with your pick submission, or to submit your one time BYE week. They will post the picks in the thread each week at or near game time.

BYE WEEK
Each player will be allowed 1 bye week where no submission will be required for that week and they will automatically move on to the subsequent week. However you must notify both contest managers of your bye week choice before that week’s pick deadline of Sunday at 12:00 PM EST.

TEAM RESTRICTIONS
You may only pick a team once. For example, if you pick Denver in week 1, you cannot pick them again. If the pool continues into the playoffs the team restrictions reset and you will be able to pick any team again at least one more time.

PICK DEADLINE
The pick deadline for this pool is each Sunday at 12:00:00 PM EST. Thursday games are not allowed.

CONFIRMING PICKS
It is your responsibility to confirm that your own picks are accepted and correct. You need to look at the posted picks in the contest thread.

TIEBREAKER
If there are 2 or more people remaining in the pool, and all of them are eliminated in the same week before the end of the regular season, the pool manager will revive those people and let them continue playing.

PLAYOFFS
If 2 or more people advance to the end of the regular season they will continue into the playoffs. If 2 or more people survive through the championship game (Super Bowl) then it will be a tie and the prize money will be split.

EXTRA ENTRIES
You are not allowed to have extra entries in this contest. One entry per person.

POSTPONED/CANCELED GAMES*
If your pick's match has been canceled after the 12pm deadline on Sunday, then your BYE week will be used. If your pick's match has been canceled before the 12pm deadline on Sunday, you will need to submit another pick or your BYE week will be used. If your BYE week has already been used then you will need to make 2 picks the following week. If a game is postponed after the 12pm deadline on Sunday to a later week, that game will count as your pick for the originally scheduled week. If your pick's match has been postponed before the 12pm deadline on Sunday, you can submit another pick or else that game will count as your pick for the originally scheduled week.

Other contest rules:

-All entries are final unless advised otherwise
-Due to the unforeseen impacts of COVID-19 on international shipping, we are unable to mail non-cash prizes outside of the United States and Canada. If you are located outside of the United States and Canada we can hold onto your prize until shipping regulations return to normal, or we can subsidize any apparel won for Covers Experts credit.
-Limit of one prize per household.
-Winners will also be sent an email to the email address associated with the account they made their winning picks with.
-Covers reserves the right to terminate, suspend or modify this contest, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or obligation.
-To receive cash prizing you will need a Skrill account. See if Skrill is available in your region.

you have to submit your pick to both you and DJ?? or just 1 of you guys will do?

When I go to my in box the top of the screen is the forums page, I can’t see area where you choose who you send pm to?

Yes, the PM must go to both of us. You send PMs by hitting the top right and hitting inbox or my account, then new PM. 

Also, you cannot change a pick once you have sent it.

If you need to PM dj and myself your entry, just click on the PM icon next to our usernames and that will do the trick 

If anyone has any other questions feel free to ask.

if our game gets postponed could we decide to use our bye week?? cause who knows what could happen to the team during the time between the postponement and game finally taking place (covid outbreak, personal matters, etc....)

would suck to be in limbo for a week or more while waiting for the game we choose to be completed 

Great question dubz given the current COVID issue.

If your game is postponed or cancelled before the Noon deadline on Sunday, you may choose another team by the Sunday deadline. If the game is postponed after the Sunday deadline, you have that team when the game is played so you cannot use that team until the postponed game is played. 

If the game is cancelled after the Sunday deadline, your bye week will be applied. If you have already used your bye week, you will not lose that week but you must make two picks the following week.

We'll be posting everyone's picks in this thread after the entry deadline on Sunday. This way members can keep their pick's private from others.

doesnt make sense, should just void the pick

if your game is postponed after 12pm you will use our bye, but will still count the game down to road....the game pick should be void and the bye will be used

it makes no sense to force the bye but still force the pick to be used down the road (for a totally different situation/scenario)

example- colts/seahawks get PP this week, til week 6 lets say.....you are saying we are forced to use our bye and forced to keep that pick for week 6.....the pick should be voided and the bye used

the game never happened on time, why get punished for that

if you have a 2nd game PP and dont have your bye left, you must pick 2 games the following week

or am i misreading something?

 You are misreading it. it is the difference between a postponed and cancelled game. 

If your game is postponed, but after Noon on Sunday, your pick remains with that game when it is played. If your game is cancelled, you are forced to use your bye. 

The reasoning is in both situations, you would still not be eliminated but it is not fair to other players who made accurate picks. 

In nether situation are you forced to use your bye and keep the same game. 

I should add that a cancelled game is very unlikely. But under COVID, anything is possible. 

Why can't I find either name in my DM mail box?  Can't send. Em I doing something wrong?

Still can use PM, that page is the box where I would write messages and above it is half the page that lists all the forums.

I see what the issue is and it’s exclusive to mobile. I’ll put in a ticket to the support team to fix it. In the meantime do you have access to a desktop?

As mentioned in the contest guidelines under PICK DEADLINE, we are excluding all Thursday games for this contest. Please choose teams that play on Sunday or Monday 

When I hit the drop down box to send a PM it shows "Covers Team"...is this sufficient to send the pick to?
