Dallas getting 8 at home? Plus I need to double up fading Denver
Dallas is usually good at beating or covering undefeated teams, Saturday night game vs undefeated saints a few years back they won, against pats a few yrs back they covered, refs gave pats the game. I like Dallas here.

I would love to take jax here against the rams, but this could be a rams blowout. To show "how bad" jaguars are then they play Denver next week, and they might get a line of 20

I don't get this theory that people have that the oddsmakers are GODS. I set lines every f*cking Sunday night for the following week and EVERY week, I'll get 10-11 out of 14 games either on the nose or off a hook. The other couple of games maybe I'm off 2-3 points.

For instance this week. 14 games. Had 12 of them on the money or within a point or so. The other two games I was kinda off were SF -4.5 over Houston and St Louis -9.5 over Jax. St Louis opened up at 13, but quickly jumped to 11. And I guarantee SF is closer to 4.5 than 7 come kickoff.

I MUST BE A F*CKING GOD TOO, AY??? ITS ALL FIXED!!! IM IN ON THE FIX!!!

Or maybe, just maybe, I've been watching and capping football for so long, that my experience and instincts for Sunday are fine tuned towards guessing lines on the money.

And that old man who was spouting his conspiracy theory nonsense on the first page of this long thread....give it a rest. Typical old codger who remembers things just a little bit differently than they happened. Exaggerated or straight up MADE UP stories like an all the old Italian story tellers I grew up knowing(friends dads growing up were all from Brooklyn, Staten Island, queens, jersey city). All STORY TELLERS!!

GLYDE....Indeed you have missed your calling....If U R  that good at making lines, 1...Why don't you get a job with Vegas as an advisor or contributor????....They have a "group" of guys who meet every Saturday, Sunday and discuss the odds of every college and pro game....And by the way, sometimes there is a 3-5 point difference on their opinions until they reach an agreement.....Since you're RIGHT ON  in 95 percent of the games odds in the NFL, you're better than 90 percent of them..WOW!!!!..YOU HAVE MISSED YOUR CALLING!!!!....Do get in touch with them....2.  YES, INDEED U R A GOD!!.!.....I'm lucky to get 8 right!!!!.....And again, looks like you're better or equal to Vegas!!!!!!!...So, with that in mind, could you please posts your selections here for this Sunday for all of us too see????....Give us the team or the over/under, and if U have the time, just a short sentence as to your reasoning????...If U know the true lines and how you arrived at them, YOU HAVE A BIG EDGE OVER TONS OF PEOPLE....You could even work for one of the online gambling sites!!....They would welcome you, even as a guest contributor....I've seen sites that need them....So, we await your expertise....Don't let us down, as all cappers could use a boost or advantage.........We're all here to share!

Looks like this cnut above me didnt get the point of my message or understand sarcasm.

Anyone with half a brain can come up with NFL lines on the money, u brainwashed sheep!!! ANYONE. WHO. HAS. BEEN. BETTING. FOR. A. GOOD. AMOUNT. OF. TIME.

Ive been betting since I was 15(im 34 now). Christ, I was running pools with point spreads with a pad and paper in 6th-7th grade way before I ever got my 1st line.

Do you honestly think in the last 20+ years or so, I can't look at a matchup and bang off team x -3. Team y -7. ANYONE CAN DO IT WITH ENOUGH EXPERIENCE YOU FOOL!

And then I gotta see posts with nonsense all ALL KNOWING AND ALL MIGHTY LINESMAKER GOD IS NOW DETERMINING THE OUTCOME OF F*UCKING GAMES WEEK TO WEEK???

    You're a moron.

    LMFAO.

It just hit me that YOU are the storyteller from the front page that I ripped on!!!

Let me guess. You are Italian, from NYC but most likely in the suburbs now, and you are spreading old mafia stories you heard from a friend of a friend of a friend and tell them now 40 years later as if YOU lived these stories(greatly exaggerated of course).

HAHAHA, I was wondering why I was blindsided by such foolish nonsense. Your feelings were hurt because I pegged you just like a lot of my buddies dads growing up. All Italian. All were friends with John Gotti back in the "old neighborhood." All wise to the fix. All have a cousin who is connected to one of the 5 families somehow. All were at every hallmark event the Ny Giants or Brooklyn Dodgers had when they were kids.

Let me guess.....u a SF Giants fan like all them old timers?

I agree.  If you watch enough football, year in, year out, you should be able to be close on a LOT of games spreads.  At least within a pt either way on 75% of them.  In fact, it's good practice to do this, so when your spread and the posted line don't match up, you can see if there is some info/angle you are missing.

The above bolded is one of the most ridiculous myths in sports gambling.  Out of the 63 game that have been played so far in the NFL this year, only 17 of them have landed within 3 points of the spread.  So 27% of games have landed within 3 pts of the spread and that's actually above the norm.  People's mindsets in this thread are off the wall.

You can't argue with these people, because the only logic to them is "anyone who doesn't think the NFL fixes their games is an idiot".

I asked pages ago, and I'll ask again.  Why would the NFL risk BILLIONS that they're ALREADY MAKING, on a scandal (fixing games) that would cost them all of their sponsorship and viewership?  Why would they risk turning the best sports product right on TV right now into a joke by fixing games?  RISK BILLIONS OF GUARANTEED MONEY for bookies?  For "Vegas"?  Don't say for ratings because they are ALREADY have the ratings, or else companies wouldn't be lining up to have their commercials on during football games.   Games may have been fixed before, but the NFL has nothing to do with"scripting games".  They don't need to.

Why isn't anyone answering my question, if you were already making billions, why would you put that at risk for a few million?

Are you ignoring my last question to you 2 posts up?  That's OK I'll wait for you to come up with some crazy explanation.  Please be direct and answer my question specifically.  I don't care about the theories on previous games.  Just an explanation on my specific question, thanks.

After Suggs comment the nfl sarcastilly mocked him saying "why would a 17 billion$. Company risk staging the sb on one game, the sb brought in 1 billion$ u think the nfl would risk their 17 billion dollars on 1 game to secure their 1 billion" and the espn crew laughed it off.

Me personally yes u wod risk it because even though it's 1/17 of the corporation it was only 1 friggin game. If it was so kosher they wouldn't have to cover it up and laugh about it every other week same goes for nba

Not sure what you're implying, but basically you mean that you WOULD risk BILLIONS of future income on one fix?  For what reason?  Saying that Suggs talked about it, doesn't explain why the NFL would actually risk all of it for one game.  Analysts could have laughed it off because they think it's as ridiculous as I do.  Not sure how "laughing about it" automatically equate to "covering it up".  If they were covering it up, it would make MORE SENSE that they DON'T air the interview with Suggs.  Please explain further with some reason WHY the NFL would feel the need to risk billions for one game?
