that's fine. however, first, you have to use him during the drive. if you just drop ryan back every play because you are down 8, he'll get killed with this pass rush.
second, you have to have turner, or some rb in the backfield on these 4th and 1's. with an empty backfield, everyone in the stasium knows it's a qb sneak. at least give the defense somethijng to think about.
with the first qb sneak, roddy white was in the backfield. what the fuck was the point of that? does smith think he's folling the giants into thinking they are going to pound white up the middle.
and we saw what happened on the second qb sneak,. just incredibly incompetent playcalling.

i know. i see them a lot. i watched that new orleans overtime debacle as well. for people who didn't watch it, the atlanta coaches did their best to lose that game before the overtime call.

Turner is also right up there in overall rushing YDS......and attempts so of course he is going to be toward the bottom in negative YDS...He is a 250 LB back I would trust him as much as any back in the NFL in gaining a few inches on any given Sunday

it's their only chance. the only way ryan can be effective is if they mix in some runs throughout the game. they also have rogers and snelling to mix it up as well. you can't quit running with that offense just because turner is 15/41. the more they run guys like turner and snelling, the softer the defense gets which opens the game up for turner and ryan. that's why turner is 3rd in the league in rushing.
if they drop ryan back every play, we see what happens, they lose 24-2. they have nio chance whatsoever, might as well not even show up.
but that's just one issue. you cannot calls qb sneaks with ryan with roddy white in the backfield or an empty backfield. you just can't do it. a qb sneak with ryan is not a good play to begin with, but when you basically tell the defense in advance you are going to run it because of your formation, it has no chance.
