Mike Tomlin to sit starters week 18?

He said he "hasn't considered it." If Steelers sit starters and lose to Cincinnati while Chargers win vs Raiders, Pittsburgh drops to 6th seed and will play Ravens first round of playoffs instead of Texans (assuming Ravens beat Cleveland next week). While it's true Lamar has done very poorly against Steelers in the past (except most recent meeting), wouldn't Steelers rather play Texans first round? Plus the Steelers offense has been garbage since Pickens missed several games with injury and it still looked terrible vs KC with him back.

 The Ravens play at 4 30pm Saturday before the Steelers game though...The Ravens will have probably clinched the division before the Steelers play Saturday night

 Steelers can win division if they win, and Baltimore loses.

Baltimore plays CLEVELAND, before the Steelers game Saturday.

The steelers will know by gametime if they have a shot, which is miniscule at best.

Tomlin will not be sitting anyone. He wants to play the Texans.

I agree I would not sit starters and think even if the Ravens told Cleveland what play was coming every down, Ravens win the division. You just never know! Steelers need to get momentum into the playoffs instead of limping in.

Question is, does Tomlin want the Texans in the first round or the Ravens?

Just in case you don't follow the Steelers, They lost their last 3 games to playoff teams. No way in hell he's resting anyone.

Steelers will for sure lose to Bungles and the reason why is cuz Harbaugh vs Harbaugh can't happen on the wild card round.  It will be a crime against humanity.  Therefore,  Pittsburgh must lose to Bungles and San Diego Chargers must win at Oakland Raiders. 

These are written in stone.  In this way, Pittsburgh gets the 6 seed and faces 3 seed Baltimore (john), and San Diego (jim) gets number 5 seed and goes to Houston.   This has already been predetermined

Mike Tomlin is the most Overrated coach in the History of the NFL. 

He just gets pass after pass, year after year, because he's an African American man. Everybody is afraid to question him because of the Rooney rule & the color of his skin. Period.

From your mouth to God’s ears! I want to see the Chargers make a long playoff run and that’s the only way it can happen. They beat the Texans, then upset the Chiefs and play the Ravens in the AFC championship game.

Regardless of whether Pittsburgh plays their starters or not, Joe Burrow will carve up that dysfunctional Steeler secondary like a Thanksgiving turkey. After 3 straight blowouts their prima Donna wide receiver has now decided to go rogue and Tomlin does what Tomlin always does for Pickens, he gives him cover (week 18 weekly interview).

It doesn't bode well for them overall as many vets are even grumbling to the press about some not doing their job. Bad times in Steel town. 

Only 1 team can win it all every year. Remove Andy Reid from the conversation and show me any other coach in the nfl who has consistently kept their team in contention for the playoffs and not turn it into a dumpster fire. I'll wait.
