DALLAS ALL DAY BABY!!!  Who came up with this screwed up line???  Somebody with some sense (no not you idiot losers) tell me some good reasons why Dallas ain't a good pick here.

Because the Cowboys secondary is bottom 3 in the NFL & can't stop the best WR combo in the NFL. Bears are better with McNown. Jeffrey & Marshall playing well+ Forte at home...Tony Romo time to choke It ain't November anymore. Bears in a shootout...34-31

Vegas doesn't give out free money remember that. Only two names you need to know...Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. Want more? Romo is 9-20 ATS after Nov 30(2-7 as an underdog). Romo is 1-7 ATS on Monday Night Football. Game is meaningless to the Cowboys because the control their own destiny in the NFC East even with a loss. Cowboys have the worst defense in football in terms of yards at the moment. Good enough?

The Tony Romo choking thing is a myth, he's actually done better in December than most other QBs over the long haul.  People just think he chokes cause MORE is expected of the Cowboys than most other teams.  I seen a breakdown of this on ESPN not long ago with facts and figures that shows just about every bad thing that is said about ROMO is bull when compared to all other QBs and that he overall in his career is just about in the top 5 or better...except championships...not doing to good in that area.  What a lot of people aren't realizing is that they are taking Dallas secondaries performance over the entire season and saying it sucks, well yes it did suck but it's a lot better now as is the rest of their defense.  And I believe that Dallas Offense will move the ball and control the clock and keep the Chicago offense off the field quite a bit.  So Dallas offense should in this way help the Defense.  If they can then I think Dallas wins big.  If Dallas fails to move the ball consistently then I think it will be close but I think even then they still win.

Why does everyone like to blame Dallas' record in December on Romo?  His performance is right at the top of the league in December in just about every category.  How about the sucky coaching they've had, injuries, etc.  Dallas defense isn't the worst in the league anymore, still not great.  That is one mistake a lot of people make, giving too much credit to the way a team WAS last week or last month or last year, not how they are RIGHT NOW!!!  And right now I think they are gonna beat Chicago down.

It's not Romo is this or that ATS it's the Cowboys!!!  He doesn't play the game by himself.  He gets too much blame and is a helluva lot better QB than people realize or want to admit.

I Jumped on it no way that line stays it will be Dallas -3.5 Cowboys will win By 14pts!!!!!!!!!

Well he also has only played 4 games in Dec 2010-2012. But in the 8 games he's played since 2009 his team is still 4-4...and that's with him throwing 18 TD's and 1 into in that time. Why? Because their defense is awful...and it still is. Dead last in yards per game, 31st in yards per play, 27th in rushing yards per game, 30th in rushing yards per attempt, 31st in pass yards per game, 24th n pass yards per attempt. So....Romo has the best quarterback rating in the NFL in December since 2009 small sample size or not, and he is 4-4 in those games. Is there anything with this defense that would lead you to believe he has a better situation this year? If not you are looking at Romo having to play out of his mind to gonna.500 down the stretch.

And for the record I have this game capped at Chicago(-1.5)...this is also a tough spot for Dallas. I'd like to bet Chicago, but there is no value in the current line so at the moment it's a no play for me.

Because they have been overvalued all year...they are not overvalued here...the spread is pretty much on the money. The situation and match up dictates Chicago is the play though. Keep in mind the top teams ATS year in year out are around .667 and the worst teams around .333, so yes the 2-9 ATS Bears are due for a correction. Much like Dallas started out what 7-1 ats while being 4-4 SU. They are now 8-4 ATS and 7-5 SU.

A lot of good info here.  I appreciate all of your insights, except the ones who offer no info and only say stupid things to make fun.  I'm not saying it's the pick of the year.  Last time I was wrong about Dallas covering against Oakland and about the line moving.  I think the line will move here to at least Dallas -1 but who can say for sure.  I don't think Chicago will be a pushover and it could well come down to the last two minutes.  In a close game I gotta go with Dallas.  Not because I'm a Dallas homer, which I am, but because I think Dallas is gonna cover.  Anything could happen of course.  Any further usefull insights are welcome.  Maybe some of ya'll have some info that will change my mind.  but please don't try to say they aren't gonna cover because of Romo.  I think we all have a good idea of Romo's strenghts and weaknesses.  I think if Dallas don't cover it will be mostly because of their Defense.

Not sure what you mean, if you are being sarcastic.  Yes, I've watched a whole lot of Dallas games.  I'm not saying Romo has never screwed up.  I'm just saying he gets all the blame and his performance during December is very very good.  His personal numbers bear that out.  A lot of people love to hate Dallas and the QB is gonna catch a lot of that flak so when the whole team loses they blame it on him for not making that miracle bomb every game to come back at the last second or if he has to force one at the last minute that's intercepted because he's been put in a screwed up situation by poor coaching and poor defense.  Dallas' defense isn't the problem.  They usually put up plenty of points.  It's the defense.  If their defense didnt' suck Dallas would most likely be one of the best teams in the league and then people wouldn't be saying Romo sucks.  A lot of teams would love to have Romo.  I think Dallas' defense is now better than it was.  What about Chicago stopping Dallas' Offense???  Somebody give me some feedback on how good Chicago's defense is and just how they are gonna be able to stop Dallas or hold them to a low score.

Chicago's defense isn't any good either, but this is a really bad matchup for Dallas. Chicago is the worst team in the NFL at stopping the run, but they aren't that bad vs the pass. They are still pretty bad, but not god awful. If Dallas had much of a run game to speak of I'd take them in this game. Both teams will score points and it will ultimately come down to scoring efficiency and turnovers.

Red Zone scoring defensive scoring TD%: Dallas 28th Chicago 11th
TO Margin: Dallas 3rd Chicago 8th

The line opened at Dallas -1.5 and took less than a couple of hours for it to switch to the other side. If Dallas was such a favorite, the line wouldnt have opened at -1.5, at least at -3... Something to think about hear and this coming from a Cowboy Fan...

Myth ? Ummmmm Didn't he already choke in Crunch time this year Against Denver? . Last year against the Redskins? The popular "FG" Game ? . Just a couple off the top of my head . I agree u can't Blame every loss on Romo but to say him Choking is a Myth isn't true with so much Game Footage of him doing so . Bol . Dallas does sound nice but the line seems fishy

While I do think Romo is unfairly criticized at times but you kind of answered your own question. The "sucky coaching" is still there!! You can't have it both ways.

Did you know that Romo's foot got stepped on as he was throwing the ball in the Denver game which caused the ball to flutter and lose velocity to get picked off?

Here are some facts for you:

Romo is 2nd in the NFL in 4th quarter comebacks with 9 since 2011

He is 3rd in the NFL in leading 9 game winning drives since 2011

Has a record of 9-10 at game winning drive opportunites which ranks him 8th among ALL QB's with a mimimum of 10 tries and Dallas had a 4th quarter lead or tie in 8 of the 10 losses meaning the defense gave most of those away

Romo led the NFL in 2012 with a league high 5 comeback wins in the 4th quarter not even including a game against the Giants where Dallas was down 24-0 and Romo threw a TD pass to Dez with 30 seconds left that was overturned due to Dez's pinky finger landing out of bounds. It also doesnt include a should have been comeback win on the road agains the super bowl champion ravens where Dallas' kicker missed a 50 yd FG as time expired

Romo has 18 career 4th quarter comeback wins which is most in Dallas' history which included "captain comeback" Roger Staubach

Romo led 3 consecutive 4th quarter comebacks last year in weeks 13-15 and followed that up with a 14 point comeback in the final 4:45 seconds against NO the week after before losing in OT 34-31

The 9 point comeback on the road in Cincy last year was the only time the Bengals allowed 20 points in their final 9 games

Romo has a 101.7 QB rating in the 4th quarter and OT INCLUDING the playoffs which is the highest among all QB's since 2000

Romo has 7 straight seasons with a passer rating above 90 and only Steve Young and Peyton Manning have ever done that

Romo has had a top 10 defense only 1 time in his career!! Guess what year that was?? 2009 and guess what, Dallas won the division in the last game of the year and won a playoff game as well. Coincidence? I think not

Lets also remember that this is a guy that was a UNDRAFTED FREE AGENT!!!! Not some first round pick that was suppose to be this great QB. He has outperformed pretty much every first round QB since he has come into the league yet he is the most criticized QB in the NFL

I CANT STAND ALL THE HATE ROMO GETS!!!!

With all that being said, this is a terrible spot for Dallas so either play Chicago or stay away
