Like someone said earlier if 4 is a push I would not hedge in order for you to lose they have to beat the jags which is possible. Then two of the titans 9ers and chargers which I think is very unlikely. I'd wait to see what happends Sunday and hope they lose to the jags then they would have to beat all 3 teams which I would say is almost impossible. Do not hedge this

@asmth14
last i checked u had over in the warriors game. no surprise you lost.
before that, rams and the under parlay 2h. which, you lost.
here you are on a gambling forum, lost 2 in a row, acting like you're the adult in the room.
been doing this for 20 years, i am sure i'm younger than you.
you can't tell young people most anything these days-they're the xperts in everything that revolves around the world.
you act like an adult and keep losing, and i'll keep doing what i do.
this is exactly why i NEVER hate competing against you guys. The more ca$h i can pull from all you pompous people, the better!

this was asmth14's plays before he lost the last 2:
Broncos -11.5 win
Browns ML win
Wash FT +5 lose
Seahawks / Texans U 41 lose
Saints / Jets O 42 lose
1H KC / LV U 23.5 ****LARGE**** LOSE LARGE
last i checked my main man and buddy, you're 2-6 with your last 8 picks, including losing your big ****LARGE*** bet, which wasn't even close to going under.
so, carry on with your "better than thou" attitude.

Situation is key on whether to hedge or not...things change and change quickly these days...if you need the money hedge it all or hedge a bit, nobody ever went poor guaranteeing a profit, if you dont need the money dont hedge, if youve a better bet on deck and need money hedge away etc etc...
In this instance i woulnt be hedging because ive had a good day at the snooker and am feeling flush, and to be fair i see no way this bet can lose at the moment...but the texans should beat the jags and then your on the push...can they win one of those last three...logic would say no...but its a weird and wacky world we live in...

Dont hedge.
You are not going to lose. Worse case scenario is a push IMO

I would wait for a game, you still have a one-game cushion. If they beat the Jags then Hedge on the next one, Moneyline odds will be better too.

@frauditor17
No it wouldn’t. Even if I bought Bitcoin I’d be down $2000. Unless you’re talking about some random crypto and then we might as well name some random stock that did well.

I agree these posts are constant and tedious.
So you supposedly had the guts to lay $10,000 on a team that only had to find 4 wins somewhere to at least push. They played Jacksonville twice, the dolphins, the Jets. You knew that they had those winnable games and they only had to find 4 wins somewhere to at least push ( which you say you would be pissed ), but you weren't scared, you supposedly threw down $10,000.
Now with over 75% of the season gone, and probably less than 0.1% chance of losing the bet, now you're scared and considering hedging.
Come on man, isn't it really that you just want to tell everyone you supposedly have an $18,000 winning ticket ?

Not at all. Not even concerned one iota that I’ll lose. But if they win this week and may play a resting titans in the last week, a push is very possible. That’s why I was asking whether I should hedge the front end, the back end, or not at all. Dollar amount doesn’t matter. Just want to protect an investment.

Bro u wanna hedge ? Simple if the texans lose to the jags .. 1000 ML texans vs chargers , 1000 ML texans vs 49ers , 1000 ML texans vs titans … sounds like a waste of 3k right ?

Well just my opinion, I say you just sit on it. They aren't getting 4 wins. I doubt they even get 3 wins. I don't see Tennessee last game being meaningless. They are all tight. KC 4 loss, Titan 4 loss, NE 4 loss, Balt 5 loss. Even if they can get top seed, they want #2 which would give a 2nd home game.

The only chance to lose this bet outright is dependent on the jags losing this Sunday to the Texans. If you think that’s happening put 1K on the Texans +5. If Texans win obviously that’s not good, but at least you will protect 1K of the investment and move on to the next week. Then start taking Texans on the money line if you have to.
this is all moot point as the Texans have the worse roster in the nfl and one of the sorriest offenses in the nfl and won’t win again all year.

Thanks, brother. Totally agree. VCD’s plan is solid.

i read it. And ignored it. Not a waste of $3k and that would be some poor hedging, too. I’d be much more likely to do $500, $1000, $1500. No point in keeping the same amount every week.

I think you meant $1k Texans? A winning bet on the Jags doesn’t help me as much as losing a bet on the Texans does. And I would never play against them on the moneyline after that…those would be -300 to -500 each time. A proper hedge bets ON the Texans.
