This statement is the biggest BS I've been hearing this playoffs. How many of the 51 teams hosting the Superbowl were actually in the divisional round and had a legitimate chance to get to the SB? I'd say 3-4 at a maximum.
Not to mention 12 Superbowls were held in non-NFL stadiums (Rose Bowl etc) and most in Miami, New Orleans, or Arizona which are hardly football powers. Zero in Green Bay, Pittsburgh, one in Dallas, etc. So few chances for this to occur.

Yeah, you're right. Saints have no defense at all.
They've given up 57 points (should've been more but shanked chip shots) and over 700 yards passing against bad QBs the last two weeks. Same number of points the Vikings gave up at home in all of October, November, and December NO gave up in two games.

I like Minnesota. I agree with LC that NO is fool's gold. CAR could have easily pulled that victory. The NO secondary is not good. They were beat bad by TB. CAR could have easily won last week. Cam had 300 yards passing and 2 TDS and should have had a 3rd TD if K. Clay caught that endzone pass in the corner. MINN's defense is for real and I think they are going to exploit the NO secondary. I am still debating on the +4.
I may tease this or do a ML parlay with MINN.
New Orleans is fool's gold Lol? Good grief. Good luck with that.

Steelers are looking past this game vs Jacksonville, onto the Patriots. That’s not good
Please explain to me how the Steelers are looking ahead. For once, on your end, let's have an intellectual conversation here. Did you not hear Big Ben speak about the Jaguars or are you just focused on what the media wants you to focus on? The fact that Ben said he wanted to play the Jags more so than anybody else? He also said they are one of the best defenses he has faced ever and that they have an all time defense. So with that, how does this align with your comment above? Please tell me. This is a very serious question yet somehow I think you will beat around the bush like many others in here when asked about their insight: Have you ever played sports or coached them? I ask because if you got embarrassed at home in front of your fans do you think you would overlook them again if given the chance to play them in the playoffs? Think about it. I mean I get what you are doing on here and know how you role so I'm not expecting much but maybe I will get an understanding where these few comments are coming from. No need to create false bs on here, right? Right. Thanks chief

Steelers’ Mike Mitchell guarantees a win over the Patriots.
I guaranteed one three weeks ago. Let's get there first and you and all the Pats backers will be left with your jaws open when that game ends. You and three others come to mind big time so be ready for a postgame thread with purely a question mark insinuating now what....after those Pats lose. Do you know what the Patriots defensive rank is this year? Their dvoa rank? Here's a hint....the number comes before 33. If I were you, I'd focus on the Titans first considering they should be able to run like crazy on the Pats with Murray, Henry and Marcus. For your sake and mine I just hope both the Steelers and Patriots get there.

As I thought: too tough for you to soak up. I asked myself the same thing bud when I read that idiotic statement above. You offer nothing to back it up. See, people get all bent out of shape how I treat people in here....this is a perfect example. You spewing bs in here and when confronted, no ownership or elaborating on thoughts. Just garbage. Well done. Waste of time on my end.

Pittsburgh did play many of their first team offensive starters in week 17 against the Cleveland Browns. JuJu Smith-Shuster had 9 receptions and Martavis Bryant had 6 receptions and all three TEs played. Stephen Ridley, the backup running back, had 17 carries and was in for Leveon Bell who had way too many touches in the regular season IMO so that made sense to me to sit him down. Also, Antonio Brown was out with injury...
I doubt if Bell and Brown will suffer from being rusty after a few series upon their return Sunday...Ben was out of course and replaced by Landry Jones but I have a feeling, considering the circumstances, that he will bring his 'A' game. He was embarassed in week five...
I have never known Ben to say what he said about wanting to see a certain team again. It was one of Jacks' all pro corners Bouye who made the comment 'be careful what you wish for'. Bouye will have to guard either Smith-Shuster or Martavis Bryant on Sunday so he might want to be careful about making that wish himself. No doubt Jacks will put their first team all pro Ramsey on Brown.
In fact, I would say one of the best trio of receivers in all of football are Brown, Smith-Shuster, and Bryant. All of them are capable of breaking a short reception at any time for a td. That being said, I love Jacksonville's defense...they are a formidable bunch and their strength is in their ability to put pressure on the QB using their 4 down linemen and of course that stellar secondary that has the two all pros and Church and Gipson.
I have a feeling that Pats' fan would prefer to play Jacks next week rather than Pitts so maybe they are the ones who should be 'careful what they wish for'.
Jacksonville is a dangerous team but with this being their first playoff run, the inexperience might end up hurting this young team on the road. I love their defense but I question their readiness for what they will confront on Sunday. If Pitts does not self destruct and turn the ball over, I don't see how Jacks will score...can the Pitts' defense shutdown Jacks' rush offense? I say they do big time...

That is from one player (Mitchell) when probed by the media. Conversely, there are 5-6 other Steelers who have said they are looking to avenge their loss to Jags.
You want to make a mountain out of a molehill by saying the "STEELERS" are looking ahead based one player's response? That might be the most idiotic thing I've heard all week.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Pittsburgh SteelersMost people on the Steelers this weekend will tell you how the Jags have a great defense but Blake Bortles and the offense sucks. The Jags offense last weekend looked abysmal, but there’s a reason for it. Blake has never played football this time of year as he’s never made the playoffs. He’s only been accustomed to playing in the sunny Florida weather. He was absolutely terrible in Jacksonville on Sunday, as only 1 WR on the team had a catch. However, Blake was playing his first game ever in high winds, as Jacksonville posted 20mph winds during that game. Blake has had 0 experience playing in such games, so it’s easy to see why he was missing wide open receivers all game long. The Jags defense however, was lights out. They recorded two sacks against a very mobile QB, and is surely to get more against Big Ben the statue. Jags defense will continue to dominate, while the offense will play much better this weekend, in Pittsburgh which is expecting just 6 mph winds. Let’s not forget that the Jags scored 30 points in 4 of the final 5 games of the regular season. As for the Steelers, they are a team that finished the season red hot, winning 10 of their final 11 games. However, many starters haven't played a single snap for 3 weeks. Tomlin decided to rest his starters in week 17, despite having a bye week coming up. When you are red hot to finish a season, the last thing you want is 3 weeks off. Not to mention Antonio Brown has been out for even further as well. Has Tomlin been able to keep the offense in rhythm during the time off? I highly doubt it. Tomlin made a mistake resting starters in week 17, and now a Steelers offense out of rhythm will be going up against the best defense in the AFC.On further note, Mike Tomlin wasn’t the only one on the Steelers making a mistake prior to this game. Big Ben when asked who he’d rather face in the opening round of the playoffs openly said “the Jaguars”. Never give an opponent bulletin board material prior to a game. The Jaguars in response to Ben’s comments: “be careful what you wish for”. The Jags will bring it here, and Pittsburgh is absolutely on upset alert.Jaguars +7.5 ($5,000) Vikings -3.5 ($4,000)Saints Under 20.5 ($1,000)
LC....based on your recent results, it is impossible for me to question any of your picks. I agree with the pick of Jacksonville +7.5 as there is absolutely no way the Steelers will score more than 20 points. The Jags defense is really that good. I also think that Bortles will play well enough to keep it close and perhaps even win the game. I keep telling myself, don't overthink this. The Jags beat a full strength Steelers team in Pittsburgh 30-9 so how in the hell are the going to lose the next game by 8+? My question for you LC is this: do you see the Jags money line as being a solid option as well? The only thing that scares me about that pick is that the league desperately wants the Pats-Steelers rematch and will probably make some borderline calls to make it happen. Interested in hearing your take on the Jags money line. Thanks.

I think their gameplan of holding Cam in the pocket worked pretty well. They didn't allow him to run, and they more or less limited big plays. Enough to win anyway. I thought their play-calling down the stretch was bad, and had the stuck to the earlier plan it wouldn't have been so close. I do think they'll look better this week when they're not facing a QB as mobile.

I took Saints +4.5 in that one. A lot of points to get with this many offensive weapons...assuming they're able to deply them.
As far as Jax-Pitt goes, I feel like 7.5 is a lot of points to cover, but actually at -7 I'm biting on the Steelers. I don't believe in a leaguewide conspiracy, I just expect them to do the things that Buffalo didn't do, and I think their defense will be better. You have to imagine they'll be fired up after what happened earlier in the season. I don't put too much stock in stats where the playoffs are concerned...the one-and-done aspect of it can really expose a team's deficiencies, especially where coaching is concerned, and I feel like the Steelers will put Jax in a hole and force them to come back, and I doubt their ability to do it. Now, Ben isn't a very bright guy, so there's always the chance he'll force throws into coverage...on the other hand I have to think that after the New England endgame he's seen the error of his ways.

For anyone that has money on Pittsburgh at -7 or -7.5, please let me know if you know what the advanced spread was 5 days ago prior to seeing Blake Bortles unable to throw a pass in heavy winds
Any1?

RR207 - No worries. Not everyone was given common sense. Hopefully you find it watching some games this weekend.
Thos R2D2 guy has nothing to offer. All we've gotten are ^^^^^^. That's all we'll get. I asked for an intellectual conversation with him but nothing transpired. No surprise. You have to know this is a @close your eyes, bet brady" type so with that you won't get too much analysis or insight. Its just comments spewed with no real common sense behind them. I mean if someone truly thinks the best team in He AFC who scored 9 points against a Blake bortles led team and had 5 picks isn't motivated to play that same team again? There is not much else to say. We know what we need to know about guys like R2D2.
