I love that you have KC ranked very low in both Power Ratings. I want to fade them in the DIV round.
KC came on late so possible many thinking they are primed and ready for a good run.
If they play very well these playoffs that will make it difficult to use any advanced metrics with them in the future which I said last year and the year before.
But I believe this year is different, they rank so very low it's hard to Imagine them going on a big run.

@DogbiteWilliams Be careful if it is the Chargers they face.... 4th straight road game in playoffs (Division or Conference Title game) after winning 3 roadies in a row is recipe for disaster
Good info ............
I believe the 2005 Steelers did it winning 4th game in SB VS Seahawks.
But although a 6th seed they rated out very strong something the Chargers don't do.

Three other teams have done what the Steelers did in 05 too but none of them had a road win to finish regular season, much less 2 road wins to finish as this Chargers team did.

Chargers had seven two-score wins this season. Those were against Vegas (twice; 4-13), Carolina (5-12), New Orleans(5-12), Cleveland (3-14), Tennessee (3-14), New England (4-13).

We'll see how much hand holding they'll get with the refs this time. Chiefs OT's hold like nobody's business! Plus other no calls, that will beat any advanced metrics for sure lol.
Here's hoping to an exciting and fair playoffs
Sip on that plus money honey!

If you take it as a given that the referees collectively put their thumb on the scale for KC, I'd have to think that the league is ready to send the opposite message this time around. Dynasties are good for business, but they must know that the fans outside of that 30 square miles of the heartland really want to see somebody new: the Lions (America's team), the Vikings, the Bills. Personally once GB are eliminated, I'm rooting for Det-Buff or Min-Buff, a guaranteed generational win for somebody.

On paper the ravens are clearly the better team. They should blow out the Steelers. But year in year out they continue to beat themselves. Mistakes bad coaching penalties now Tucker. A team with so much talent is being let down by one guy. Harbaugh. I would not bet this team in the playoffs based on their history. They would have to change so dramatically how they go about their business. Harbaugh in game coaching is atrocious. In game adjustments are non existent. A lot of this is covered up by Lamar turning around and handing the ball the Henry. Also Lamar doing his thing. But playoffs are a different animal. Harbaugh is 3-6 in the playoffs since 2012. Lamar is 2-4. I have not even talked about how poorly the ravens play against the Steelers. Trying to cover 9.5. Too much for me
The history of Lamar and Harbaugh is very clear. Maybe Lamar can up his game but Harbaugh makes the same mistakes year after year after year.

Excellent point. For the fourth straight road (Away) playoff games the query is very simple:
PO = 1 and A and p:A and pp:A and ppp:A
SU: 0-7 (-10.1, 0.0%)
ATS: 1-5-1 (-5.9, 16.7%)
This includes all fourth straight road games regardless of wins and losses. Off 3 straight road wins road playoff teams are 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS.

Yes, I thought Steelers on road last regularvseason but they were not.
They did win the 4th road game though which was SB but both teams on the road so not the same thing.

I am not sure that is a bad thing.
Beating teams with losing records by 1 score is the kiss of death for a team.

At some point they need to turn the corner. But will this be the year, will they ever do it ?

I knew you'd say that.
I believe, though, that the Chargers' offensive improvement might be a mirage.

Looks like a tough road for Chargers if they win.
Maybe will set up a big KC win to then fade them the next week.
