Guys the most amazing stat in NFL, at least in my opinion is the fact that the trend of teams winning Straight up also cover the spread 86% of the time.  I did not pay close enough attention to how it was holding up and heard on the radio earlier today about how in week 1  that 15 out of the 16 teams that won, also covered the spread. Pretty crazy. So in last weeks thread I posted this play early,, and wanted to have it up here, some places you can still get it, and some places you cant,, Now it could not happen, but you have to like your odds of the Cowboys not going 0-3.  And i like the fact that the Texans have played two emotional games back to back.  There are a few others I am liking quite a bit, and will post them as soon as i can get a little better line..  Good Luck ,

Hey I4U took Dallas at the beginning of the week therefore gald we are on the same side. Was wondering what do you think of these 2 games Jack + 3 and STL + 3. Huge $$$ on the favorite right now and the lines are holding steady. Thanks for all your help and above all all your input is always GOLD.

I think most winners cover the spread about 75% or so of the time.

Do you think the trend of winners will not cover the spread - is that why you are buying a point?

curious as to why you are buying a point after making the point to say to that win cover 86% of the time? wouldnt you wanna go the other direction and play the ml instead of buying a point and risking the extra juice?  either way BOL this weekend...

Bought the point because thats what i like to do,, not everyone likes doing that. And the stat I gave above was just stating something I heard today.. If the stat was 100% then I would never buy points, I would just play the team I think is going to win.. When I like to buy points is a few different spots.

Buy points when it puts you at key number like 3,4,7.11.10.13.14.17.19.21.20.  

Buy points when it is only game on that night because it will for sure be a sharp line. 

Buy points when it is a public team playing. Which means a game that has a team that the public likes to bet on alot..

It doesnt always help.. But it can help give you a push instead of  a loss.  Like the Vikings game,, I got the push instead of losing 1800..   Last week I had Houston at -2.5  which won,, but everyone that had Redskins at + 3  , could have won by buying it to 4.. The line makers are sharp. They come up with lines that think the number can land on.. So buying points is something I like to do. If someone does not want to buy points , then they dont have to

The only numbers I will buy a 1/2 point on are 3 & 7 because we see alot of games fall on these two key numbers.

Has Skins at 2.5 and should have at least bought 1/2.

Had TCU at 18 and should have bought to 17 which was a key number.

Dallas just looks horrible man.  Scary putting $ on them but you got a good point about HOU just playing 2 VERY emotional games.  They are due for a let down and the BOYS need this win pretty bad.

Love Cincy, San Fran, Washington.  Also think that a teaser making baltimore -5 and patriots -8.5 is a good pick.  Thoughts.

hi I4U, i'm new here, but have been following you for a while now.  Was wondering how you felt about Dallas ML vs paying juice for the spread.  Based on your observations about winning teams also covering the spread, would it be prudent to take the ML at this point instead of paying for the juice on spread?
