Yeah the line move has nothing to do with sharp action playing the revenge angle here, it is to entice dog betters, it has nothing to do with the money coming in on pitt,

I don't think that revenge is a big factor in this game either and I am not making a play either way on this game.

However, the game last year didn't mean more to Tennessee then to Pittsburgh. Tennessee came in at 12-2 and Pittsburgh at 11-3. Both had already clinched playoff berths.

Pittsburgh had definitely clinched the division. Tennessee had clinched at least a tie for the division and perhaps the division depending on tie-breakers with Indy.

A Pittsburgh win would have given them the upper hand for home field advantage which isn't trivial.

The game last year was equally important to both teams. Again, I don't believe it means anything for this game though.

Steelers will win and cover and if you dont think there is any type of revenge factor in this game you are crazy. Not in the loss itself to tenny but in the way it happened and the way one fatdale white stomped on the terrible towel. Diehard fans dont forget things like that and I know the Steelers have not either. So I'm sure there will be that little extra grudge by the Champs to lay one on these assclowns in front of the Faithful at heinze.

This thread is useless. This Pitt ML and or points are tied to so many parlays and teasers if Pitt loses tonight the books will be off to a record breaking bankroll after game 1. I think they know this too.

Yeah the sportsbooks here in Vegas are really flooded with PIT bettors.

I've been to 5 casinos today and none have the BUZZ for PIT.

It's all TEN ml or TEN and the points.Every single sportsbook.

Parlays will knockout the little bettors,but straight bettors like me are a different story.

I don't doubt the players and coaches used revenge as a motivating factor during practices and meetings to prepare themselves for the game. I am sure they will use it in the locker room pre-game to fire themselves up.

That doesn't mean it will work. It doesn't mean it will help. Teams with "revenge" don't always win. Simply wanting to beat a team because they beat you the last time doesn't guarantee victory.

I never said anything about winning the game.   I said Home With Revenge is what is driving the line up.  It's an angle played by both sharp betters and touts alike.

I agree and see nothing unusual about this line movement.

Line gets bet up leading up to the game, resistance comes at a key number, and then the hour before the game bigger money buys the line back down (which is what you are seeing right now if you look at the line).

This isnt "chumps" - its great that the original poster can give us the "buzz" from his perspective on 5 sportsbooks he has visited.  Super.

This line is way too big... tennesse won last time they played and went out short of the superbowl and had to watch the steelers take it down, I think that only makes +6.5 have great value. These are the two defending champs of their respective divisions and they dont like each other... should be +/- 3.5 or 4.5 .. GL to all

I mean Tennesse had the second best D in the AFC last year and everyone is expectin the steelers to destroy them ... I got the 2nd best AFC defense +7.5 (bought points) I'm takin that all day
