dont get me wrong please....during the game, even w. arizona +6.5 i called BEN "sick", "amazing", used the word "WOW" at least 12 times.........so he played great at times......but fuckingPLEASE, im being nice and saying please....GIVE THE DEFENSE THEIR FUCKING CREDIT! thanks

I am an avid Steeler fan, and always have been.  I cannot disagree with you on this fact, and I can guarantee you that Big Bad Ben would not either..... Stellar D is a big reason for all 6 rings, and without it, I dont think we would of had 1

If your an anti-steelers person and you took the Cardinals you should harbor no hard feelings.  True gamblers should never put any emotion into a bet no matter what the situation.  As a person who wouldn't even watch the NFL if it weren't for gambling, all I have to say is Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers and to all the haters suck it up because it's a long 7 months until next season.

the patriots still have the same key players am I wrong? as do the steelers! So therefore I know I learned this somewhere im not sure where it was but I think 3 is better than 2

A guy tom brady heard of him? yea he'd be the reason the patriots didn't make it to the super bowl this year. How many times were the patriots the wedge that stopped the steelers from getting to the super bowl?

Im pretty sure that Tom Brady guy yea some credible people have called him the future best QB of all time. I don't see why the Patriots would be hurting without him

not giving the steelers their credit is just ridiculous........they deserve it , plain and simple. whether the credit goes to dan rooney, big ben, tomlin , jeff reed......it doesnt matter, they won and they deserve credit....
 
the only problem i have is where you think the majority of that credit goes....and people think im some sort of a ben hater when i dont think he gets 75% out of 100%......just crazy....

don't know about pitt being frauds - they won just how they won all year...pretty ugly. but that's neither here nor there, just as it wasn't with regards to their regular season record - a win is a win is a win...

truth be told, the cardinals weren't the team that made it to the super bowl until the fourth quarter and that killed them. the whole thing started with the retarded ass cutesy choice to defer the ball after winning the coin flip. they gave up the ability to command the flow of the game to the steelers right off the bat. huge mistake i think. took WAY too long for the offensive to find rhythm. meanwhile the steelers just showed up and played, no matter what the situation they found themselves in.

of course it just turns out that while game management wins games, talent still covers.

The steelers win as a team big blockhead ben did his job which is manage the game but the defense has carried this team all year long.I give him credit for the drive but hes not a spectacular QB.He does what he has to do to win even if that means run around until coverages break down cause he is not smart enough to read defenses or he can hand the ball off to his great running game. I mean really its the Cards defense he did this to.
 
Kurt Warner is the one who impressed me. I mean wasnt Ben the one who threw the pick and got bailed out by a 100 yard TD int before the half.
 
Kurt Warner is the one who is underated, I mean the dude is like 50 and he played an exceptional game in the SB for the 3rd time,other then the INT that should have been a fade pass to fitzgerald in the corner of the end zone. And he did it againest the so called number 1 D. Nothing Kurt can do about his average defense he had all year.
 
Poor Ben must have been hard getting all those turnovers his Defense got for him and points the D scored this year. Oh and all those running yards his backs got for him might have helped a little. The steelers are an all around solid team and they win as a team Ben has never carried the load. He is good not great.

No need to hate on the team that won. They were the better team and I think anyone with sense could pick that out, the Cardinals had them where they wanted them, and they let the off the hook, lol.. The Steelers took it all the way down the field and willed it the EXACT way championship teams do it.

Yes they won the SB, very good! But I would have loved to have seen the Colts win OT coin flip againest Chargers and Titans not hand the Ravens a win with there TOs or maybe Plax doesnt shoot himself and maybe Mcnabb and eagles dont choke. All teams that that beat the Steelers this year . I'll even throw in maybe Brady doesnt get injured. People are losing there minds in this thread... Lets be realistic Arizona's D there achillies heel all year let them down when the game was on the line... Rothisberger got it done when it counted most... Arizona outplayed Pittsburgh for a majority of that game dont kid yourself they played good enough to win... Pittsburgh was lucky to get out of there with the W. Arizona took the lead after trailing by 13 in the 4th quarter... Would love to see the game again from the point where Warner threw the 100 yd touchdown the wrong way...
 
Based on what I saw I see Arizona having a better chance of getting back to the big game next year

In a 2008 season that was watered down beyond belief, someone had to win and Pittsburgh did. No ,their schedule did not end up being as tough as it was thought to be (CLE, JAK, CIN, were a joke this year), Their offense was putrid at times, and their defense was subceptible to the pass (if you could protect your QB, big if). They stifled the run on defense, controlled the clock on offense, and got the big play when needed. Are they as good as last years champs, the Giants? No. The Colts of two years ago? Not. The Steeler team of three years ago is better, but this year, they were as good as anyone. Sometimes the stars align properly, and teams like this win titles. But if your not a quality organization from ownership on down, you cant take advantage of situations like this. Pittsburgh did. All this thread shows is how easy they are to hate.

I'm not making excuses.Just dont think there the best team hands down. Just saying that other then the Ravens (and there rookie QB), beating an 8-8 team and a 9-7 team who both played in the worst conferences really doesnt impress me. But its not there fault they had an easy road to the superbowl. Just would have liked to see how good the Steelers really are. Just wondering if they could have beaten 1 of the 5 teams I mentioned above in the playoffs.

And really dude the name Patsfan speaks for its self about Superbowls. So Shhhhhhhh!!!!! And I have loved the Pats since the Grogan days win or lose. I have seen Pats in  6 SBs in my lifetime. Only 3 victorys but I still love them. 

Also loved in 04/05 playoffs when Pats lit up Big garbage man Ben for 3 INTS and lost fumble in Pittsburgh 41-27 and it wasnt even as close as the score shows.
