And Worthlessberger is still the most over-rated in football.
You're right, he's not Tony Romo!
If only he would have been puking on that last drive like McNabb
Wow! Really??? Since when is a QB Passer Rating a "meaningless stat"???......Oh well. Ok...
Honestly, I don't usually bring up the Passer Ratings, but, I certainly think they mean something. I thought I'd mention the passer rating due to all the Steeler homers and THEIR "MEANINGLESS STATS"...have you heard all the homers with these stats? "Ben's Passer Rating on 3rd down in the 4th quarter" and "Ben's Passer Rating in the 4th quarter after the defense gave the Steelers a 1st down by penalty" or how about the "Ben's Passer Rating on 3rd or 4th down in the final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter after he tells his 'boys' in the huddle 'c'mon homies, lets do dis shit'"...plenty of "MEANINGLESS" stats out there from the homers.
Yeah there are stats like that, I won't deny them they are bullshit I agree. There isn't enough of a sample size throughout an entire career for them to be meaningful let alone a game or season. But with regards to the passer rating thing...It's only a telling stat if you have one QB who is near 120+ and another below like 60. The extremes of the passer rating might mean something. If you are 143.2 then you had a damn good game it would be hard to argue that yeah, and if you had a 50 passer rating it would obviously be a bad game. When you start to pick apart passer ratings by single points and the difference of 110 and 100 or 100 and 90 for that matter even 100 or 80. THEY MEAN NOTHING.
If you would have read my thing closer I said they don't blow out teams because first off they don't have the personal on offense to do so. No running game, no consistent play fromt the offensive line. And because the Steelers are much more concerned with clock management and ball control rather than running up the score.

shhhhh..... that very statement confirms you are a fool, simply b/c you watched enough of a game that you have that opinion of

lol... honestly you guys are just too easy to expose your moron tendencies, lmao.... ok, I'll bite, which SB winning QB did not have great players around him?? Joe Montana? nope, John Elway?? no no, Tom Brady?? wrong again, Johnny Unitas?? not that one.... fact is, no one, not ben or anyone would deny that claim, but it is a game of 11 on both sides of the ball, it is theoretically impossible to go to, and win without great players around a QB...... verdict? you are just plain stupid bro...lol

You are correct..."records" was the wrong word there, not what I meant. What I meant and what I should have said was "all the statistical categories this defense led the league in this season". Thanks for catching that.

did not play good at all? do you for a moment in time realize just what it takes to have a total year of yours, and everyone you care about have everything you worked for on the line in a do or die scenario, when the entire world is watching you, and everything you dreamed of, everyones hard work hanging in the balance for less than 2 minutes to live or die, with world class athletes wanting nothing more than to stop you anyway they can, and have to muster the clarity of purpose, the fortitude of character to not let the pesimistic thoughts rule, and to lead not only yourself, but 10 other men who are in the same mind frame and to accomplish your mission?? no, you don't, nor will you ever as you stop, put your beer down, weeze from the ciggarette you are probably killing yourself with as you try to put down someone who personifies winning by doing so more than any QB ever has in his first 5 years (51 wins), and accomplished the ultimate height twice in that time, unmatched by only one in history..... you are truly pathtic, and honestly not worth the time I spent on writing this

You sure it was the easiest road to the Super Bowl. Before the season started their opponents record from the previous year was determined to be the hardest ever based on winning precentage.
In winning the super bowl, the Steelers faced the 2nd highest opponent winning precentage for a Super Bowl winning team
Of the top 12 defenses this year, the Steelers faced 9 of them (excluding their number one ranked team) and, thus, 11 of their 16 regular season games were against top 12 defenses.
You sir are a dope.
