The David Tyree catch was on like 4th and 15 which was an amazing grab which lead to the giants shocking the world. Dude, Holmes made a nice catch but come on greastest catch in SB history I dont think so.
Oh and you might have heard of a guy named Franco Harris. A little something called the IMMACALUTE RECEPTION

The Cards played their best game of the season, the best game they could have played and lost....Just give credit where credit is due brother!!!Stop the hating

Did he win that game or no? I can't remember? If stats have counted for rings, or for who you want behind center, let me know bud, because I'll take a winner everytime

1970= 3-3 record for Pats and undeafted regular season.
Steelers 7 SB appearances in 76 years in NFL.
Pats 6 SB appearances in 39 years in NFL
From what I've read you sound pretty educated on here, but c'mon man why would you post something so misleading? We know that the Super Bowl's didn't stat until 1967, so it looks more like this..
Steelers 7 appearances in 43 years..
Pats 6 appearances in 39 years..

Nevermind you being educated, this does it. Franco Harris' catch wasn't in the Super Bowl. Let's start to get our facts here correct before we post.

I'm not making excuses.Just dont think there the best team hands down. Just saying that other then the Ravens (and there rookie QB), beating an 8-8 team and a 9-7 team who both played in the worst conferences really doesnt impress me. But its not there fault they had an easy road to the superbowl. Just would have liked to see how good the Steelers really are. Just wondering if they could have beaten 1 of the 5 teams I mentioned above in the playoffs.
And really dude the name Patsfan speaks for its self about Superbowls. So Shhhhhhhh!!!!! And I have loved the Pats since the Grogan days win or lose. I have seen Pats in 6 SBs in my lifetime. Only 3 victorys but I still love them.
Also loved in 04/05 playoffs when Pats lit up Big garbage man Ben for 3 INTS and lost fumble in Pittsburgh 41-27 and it wasnt even as close as the score shows.
Wow! This dude know's how to make an argument. You make a slight jab and have to throw in (and their rookie QB) for the Ravens victory, and at the bottome you bring up how bad the Pats embarrased the Steelers in 04 (mind I tell you that Ben was a rookie that year too). C'mon man really?

can you imagine if ben had an experienced offensive line??
they will only improve, they are young...
I am proud to say that I am a fan of such a classy organization...
ps, go watch Whiz complain about the refs in his press conference..haha
so questioning officiating now means you aren't a classy organization? Steelers have never called out the refs before?
gimme a break!
let's remember... this was arguably the worst officiated Super Bowl we've ever seen... the last time i ever saw a Big Game this severely affected by the officiating was the Miami-Ohio St National Championship game... the officials in the game last night could not have been a bigger factor, and for my money, that ruins the game...

I liked the part where #92 punched the guy he was holding down on the ground. Oh...and I thought it was cool the way Ben Rothless...was interviewed after the game as was kinda trying to sound like a gangsta.... class....
I have to agree with this statement. Without a doubt Pittsburgh got the benefit of nearly every official call. There is the two bad calls (albiet the first I could see why the official missed that because that was close but the second where the ball is cleary out of this hand and going downfield - hell it got past the line of scrimmage) that forced AZ to use their instant reviews.
There were so many ticky tack penalties called on AZ that I could puke. I kept saying boy I wish I was at the game because knowing Pittsburgh there is just as many against them but not getting called because frankly Pittsburgh defenders are some of the dirtiest (next to perhaps Baltimore) defenders in the NFL. Then low and behold the tv crew finally caught a guy during the punt trying to take an AZ players head off with punch after punch. Yep that was after the play my a$$. Instead of first and ten AZ it backed up Pittsburgh what one yard.
Then there is a the strange ending to the game where they did not review the last play that clearly looked like a forward pass (much like the other that got overturned).
This game is so reminisant of the Superbowl against the Seahawks with nearly every call going their way. This whole season I think I only watched one game where it did not appear the calls were going their way and I told myself that I would either bet with Pittsburgh or not at all because it almost seemed that they were given their golden paracute this year.
All that being said, Pitt won and they are a better team than AZ, but in my opinion just not yesterday. They did have a very difficult road to get there but so does every Superbowl participant because those rings are not just given out. The whole point to this post is that Pitt fans should feel damn fortunate that they won that game when frankly I think they had no business winning it based on all the above. But they did win, they are the Superbowl champs and that is how it is.
Before it is asked... I was on AZ +15 and over 38 in a teaser. This game was not in doubt for me once the game went over in the fourth quarter. Just my opinion after watching this game as neither a Steelers or Cardnials fan.

I give props to the Steelers for winning don't get me wrong. Zona's defense blew it in the end. Santonio Holmes played out of his ass. But I still think Roethlisberger is still one of the most worthless QB's in the league
This guy obviously knows what he's talking about and tells it like it is. It's real difficult to sift through these threads and weed out all the Steelers homers who are simply out of touch with reality...
AGAIN, congratulations to the Steelers, they deserve the trophy...
HOWEVER, Ben Worthlessberger is not a top QB, not even close. He has the top defense in the league carrying him this season and he had one of the best the last time they won it. If the Steelers had a good QB to go with that amazing defense they would be BLOWING EVERY TEAM OUT, THEY WOULD BE KILLING EVERYBODY, but, because of his poor play (inaccurate passes, taking too many sacks, untimely interceptions and fumbles, etc.) they still have to struggle to win almost EVERY game. Do they win? YES, they win. AGAIN, no doubt about that. BUT, if Ben was so great they wouldn't even be in these situations in the 4th quarter, the games should be over at halftime or at least by the end of the 3rd quarter. With all the records this defense set, including the fewest points allowed BY FAR, they should simply be trouncing opponents IF they had a good QB. So c'mon Steeler homers, wake up and realize this is the truth. If he's so good, why do they still struggle to get the wins in the 4th? The games should already be over, shouldn't they?
Ben is not a good QB. Oh, and he was clearly outplayed by Kurt Warner...check the passer ratings.

Just for the record I have no problem with Ben and I give him all the credit in the world with the game winning drive. He still had to execute and he did. Anyone who wants to bash Ben should look at their team and ask themselves is their QB better? I am a Vikings fan and I would take Ben over anyone on our roster.

Please refrain from using the word "elite" and "Ben" in the same sentence. They don't mix at all and the two words simply don't belong together...
Wow! That Steeler Kool-Ade is in full abundance now! They must be stockpiled with that stuff!

LOL! Ummmm, yeah, there are actually probably about 30 starting QB's in the league better than TarVIRUS Jackson...you're really going out on a limb there. In fact, there are probably about 10-15 BACKUPS in the league better than him! Saying you'd rather have Ben than him doesn't say much...

1. Passer ratings don't tell the story, they only tell the story to fans who like to go look up meaningless stats that back up arguments with no ground.
2. Ben is not the Top QB in this league, that's Brady, he's not the second best QB in this league either, but to sit here and bash him and say he's not one of the best, or even close is just idiotic. You can say that they would be blowing teams out of the water if he was good, but contrary to the belief that the Steelers could rush the ball every week, they had no rush game at all this year. Parker was banged up all year, and they finished 27th in the run. Take away the run games and teams key on the pass, they can sit back and wait for it. The O-Line is one of the worst in the league, and was just atrocious for the whole regular season. You can only be soo good in this league without having to have other guys around you help you.

flawless pass in the endzone? flawless..he had to stretch out and barely get his the tips of his toes in the endzone to catch that. I said he had 100 yards (give or take 20/30) less passing up until the final drive.
if I had to choose my QB I could choose 10+ QB's right now i'd rather take
Haha if he throws it anywhere else it's tipped, intercepted, or out of bounds. So yes it was flawless... and so was the pass before it but Holmes couldn't come down with it. It's funny to read stupid post after stupid post in here by these haters because they can't come up with anything credible.

Actually if you want too really debate it was the receivers and the offensive line that won that game, but whatever, just another fan jealous of one of the two best organizations in the league along with the Patriots.

Wow! Really??? Since when is a QB Passer Rating a "meaningless stat"???......Oh well. Ok...
Honestly, I don't usually bring up the Passer Ratings, but, I certainly think they mean something. I thought I'd mention the passer rating due to all the Steeler homers and THEIR "MEANINGLESS STATS"...have you heard all the homers with these stats? "Ben's Passer Rating on 3rd down in the 4th quarter" and "Ben's Passer Rating in the 4th quarter after the defense gave the Steelers a 1st down by penalty" or how about the "Ben's Passer Rating on 3rd or 4th down in the final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter after he tells his 'boys' in the huddle 'c'mon homies, lets do dis shit'"...plenty of "MEANINGLESS" stats out there from the homers.

Jealous? Have you read ANYTHING I've posted? For the umpteenth frickin time, the Steelers DESERVE the trophy, they are a GREAT TEAM. Are you "special" or "semi-retarded"? Geez...
My problem lies with all of the Steelers homers who give Ben Worthlessberger so much credit...honestly, he deserves very little credit. He's not a good QB. Here, from one of my previous posts...
Ben Worthlessberger is not a top QB, not even close.
That's my issue right there, NOT that the Steelers aren't a great team. Get it right.

Jealous? Have you read ANYTHING I've posted? For the umpteenth frickin time, the Steelers DESERVE the trophy, they are a GREAT TEAM. Are you "special" or "semi-retarded"? Geez...
