Carolina @ Dallas is not the game that you think it is going to be.
Ease of Carolina's schedule
Carolina has beaten 1 winning team this season. It was GB, they were in turmoil at the time.
There were only 3 wins on their schedule that one could argue were even relatively impressive.
GB, however, they were on the road and in turmoil at the time
IND, a team that they dominated for 3 and a half quarters but almost lost to in the end of the 4th. They slept through it.
SEA, public perception makes this one impressive, however... SEA is not the team they used to be. Russell Wilson eating up all their cap space has destroyed their team.
Dallas is better than you think
Dallas defense is stout, there are no weak spots. Their LB Corps is tough, their secondary is outstanding... (Has anybody heard Brandon Carr's name all season?). The only arguable weakness is their Defensive line, however, with Tony Romo back on the field managing the game and controlling T.O.P. the big men will be rested.
Dallas was competitive in every game without Tony Romo except for the Patriots game.
Tony Romo is a top 5 QB.
Dallas is as healthy as they have been all season.
Cam Newton is over hyped
Cam Newton has a 90.1 rating this season.
Cam Newton has thrown 9 interceptions.
Cam Newton has a 56.9% completion rate.
The situation benefits Dallas
Carolina is visiting Dallas on a short week.
Due to the travel day Carolina will miss a practice.
Dallas is at home.
Fools will look at this game and see 10-0 vs. 3-7.
Don't be a fool.

Just looking at the how lopsided the action is on carolina already, I have a feeling the books are gonna clean up big time on Turkey day.
When I saw the post title I knew you'd have the facts sorted. The public is finally giving carolina respect, which they deserve no doubt, but bad spot for all the reasons listed so graciously by the OP.
Line movement also appears to be aimed drawing more action on car

I don't think it's foolish to take CAR in this spot. Yes it would be foolish to just look at team w/l records and make a bet based on that but does anyone do that? To say Cam is overhyped because he has 9 INTs in 10 games...really? Romo has 4 INTs in 3 games. I'm not personally a fan of Newton and I actually think Romo is a solid QB but you have to admit that what Cam has done with that receiving core is outstanding no? Let's not overlook his rushing stats(86 rushes for 382 yards with 6 TDs), his 20 passing TDs, and his ball protection (only 2 fumbles!). Do you know how ridiculous it is to say they have had an easy schedule because they haven't beaten a team with a winning record? Are you aware of how many teams in the NFL even have a winning record? There are 8 of them including CAR. They don't get to pick their schedule and the one game where they finally had an opportunity to play a team with a winning record was GB which you pass off as a non-credible win since GB was "travelling and in turmoil". I suppose you would say the same thing about NE that they only have 1 win over a team with a winning record and that was PIT and they didn't have Bell so it doesn't count. There's a reason the teams they have beaten don't have winning records and that is often because CAR has beaten that team. HOU, TB, SEA, and IND would all have winning records if not for their loss to CAR. All of those teams would be 5-4 if their game against CAR had not happened. I am NOT saying this is an easy win for CAR this week, but those that are thinking DAL is a lock need to look a bit closer at this game as well. I got CAR+1 where the line opened and I'm pretty comfortable there. CAR is playing great ball right now and I certainly wouldn't bet against them.

Agree with the op. love dallas here. wouldn't be surprised if the refs favor dallas as the nfl would like to have cowboys be relevant down the stretch.

A horribly written paragraph that hurt my eyes to read.
A few takeaways from your post...
Nobody said Dallas was a lock. I was simply cautioning users thinking that Carolina was.
The Packers visited the Panthers after they had only put up 10 points against Denver. After losing to the Panthers they went on to lose to Detroit at home. They were in the midst of something... Call it what you will.
I can absolutely fault them for strength of schedule... Have you ever paid any attention to NCAAF?
I agree with you. The Patriots have yet to impress either. Their wins against Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and the New York Jets were most impressive, however, even those came with a caveat. If you'd like my honest opinion, the Patriots and Panthers are two of the worst undefeated teams through 10+ weeks that we've seen in years.
You made the argument about Cam Newton rushing the football. I'd like to remind you that this Dallas LB corps has played against RG3 & Mike Vick for a while. Dallas will be well equipped to deal with the dual threat.
Romo possesses the second highest QB Rating of all time. He is only second to Aaron Rodgers. There are only 3 QB's currently active in the NFL that you could even make the argument are better than he is. They are Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. If you don't accept this to be true it is your own prerogative to continue to live in the past. The media hyped Tony Romo as a choke artist, the fools ate it up. Consistent numbers don't lie.
I personally don't care which way you bet. I'm just here to offer information that might not have been considered.

I completely agree with you on the Cowboys in this game. Romo is back and Dallas really needs to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive. I suggest that people who like Dallas should wait closer to kick off to possibly get a better line like maybe +3 or so. IF a ton of people are on the Panthers then the line could shift some.

I love all Favors coming into Thanksgiving day! Love all the UNDER as well! Defense NFC!
No doubt all these games are GREAT ON OFFENSE, these teams will come with a win.
-PHIL over Detriot (away)- Could possibly be an over game -DAL over Car (home) - Low scoring (Dal defense stops Cam)
-GB over Chi (home) - Low scoring (weather looks nasty)
EAT TURKEY and Thank me later. My stats on THURSDAY NIGHT has been 10-1!! (Hoping to go 3-0 THURSDAY THANKSGIVING)
So if Dallas defense stops Cam.....then you have to say Carolinas defense stops Tony. SOoooooooooooooo, my score prediction is 3 to 0...fill in the winner.......Your a Turkey, and thank me later.
