I’ve got the Lions - 4 in this game. Off ?
I know everyone will jump on the Stafford coming back home narrative and all but I think the Lions kick Stafford in the teeth.

Goff playing the Rams narrative can also be a consideration! It's a story line that will for sure play out as the sports media have been talking it up the last few weeks! NFL loves a story book ending its great for ratings .

I would be really surprised to see 4. Who knows.

I'd be taking out a loan on the Rams if this was the #.
Rams pt differential since week 11, +62
Lions pt differential since week 11, +18
Just a starting point for me. Then we can talk about the matchup stuff.

I agree with Vanzack, line is most likely higher than 4 for the LAR to make us think harder on which team to be on. Stafford going back to DET to play in a playoff game will draw attention with the media but doesn't really help the LAR gain any edge imo. End of the day, this will be a home game for DET who have played some good ball, they have the O to match the LAR and have the better D from what I have seen this season. Stafford have 3 WR and a RB finally, but he is still prone to throw a few up there, but I just do not see how their D can stop DET's rushing attack then the play actions. Going to be a fun game to watch!

Here's hoping that SF beats LA and LA drops to the 7th seed and has to travel to Dallas for the first round. I want to see a semi-rested Rams team face-off against Dallas while the Lions beat up on the Packers. Round 2 sees SF beat LA (i think LA has the tools to beat Dallas round 1) while the Lions beat up on Philly. Setting the NFC championship to be SF and Detroit!

Interesting scenarios, it could happen. To settle at #7 playoffs seed, Rams would have to lose to the 49ers AND Packers beat the Bears. If I were the seed #2 team, I would probably prefer to face the Packers, rather than Rams.

I agree, the Rams have gotten hot and can play with anyone in the postseason. Dallas is a lock at #2 and no doubt would rather face the Pack. With SF and LA both resting players, it's a coin flip but i give the edge to Sam Darnold over Carson Wentz. SF should win and the Pack should win.

Rams coach and QB are superior to Lions meathead coach and skittish QB. Would not touch the Lions despite their superior talent. They should win but they find ways to lose.
