I very seldomly will play a favorite in the NFL over 7 points, and definitely nothing over 14 points.  Simply because this is the NFL and only thing that matters to these teams and coaches is winning whether it is by 1 point or 30 points the game is still only worth 1 win. There is no style points in the NFL like there is in college where polls and subjective human judgement is a factor in rankings and potential playoff chances.  Many times a team will go all conservative with a big lead or put in backups in the 2nd half, also in the NFL the team leading will most cases play whatever strategy it takes to run the clock out, not show anything special(vanilla playcalling) for future weeks, and get the game over with as soon as possible to reduce the possibility for injury.  This Pats-Jets is a prime example of why I do not play big favorites in the NFL, the Pats throughly dominated the game yet still didn't cover because of couple of fluky plays by the Jets and then went all vanilla to get the game over with and had no interest in covering or scoring any more points.  Sometimes I will consider playing the underdog with the points in a big spread, but just couldn't in this case, (Pats clicking on all cylinders, at home, and Jets had a backup QB in there.

I am looking to bet underdogs that I feel have a competitive edge or situation to win the game straight up or at the very least keep it a one possession game with a chance to win in the 4th quarter or favorites in smaller spreads such as 7 or less who have a matchup they can dominate and have the game well in their control by time they go down the stretch in the 4th quarter.

Analysis- Eagles coming into this 1-2 after having high aspirations for winning the east and making a super bowl run. With the Cowboys on fire to start the season and starting to run with the division the Eagles know this is a game they have to find a way to win. Packers enjoying some home cooking with this being their 3rd home game in a row and off to a hot start at 3-0 with a much improved defense getting pressure on the qb and making big plays. Pederson has done well preparing his team for TNF as the Eagles are 3-0 ATS in the last 3 years on Thursday, and Jeffery returning to the lineup should go a long ways towards giving this Eagles offense a nice boost. The Eagles coming off what i would call a phony loss to the Lions in which they outgained them 373-287 and showed good balance with 127 yards on the ground and good 3rd down efficiency, but the kickoff return for the td and the 2 lost fumbles ended costing them the game.

Packers coming off a win over denver which was not real impressive over a winless team at home. Total yardage was nearly even and denver was able to run the ball and control the time of possession most of the game, the packers offense didnt do much and was only 2-9 on 3rd down. The defense ruled the day with the sacks and turnovers, but the Eagles have good bookend tackles to neutralize the pressure on Wentz. Green Bay was also outgained at home by the Vikings and relied on turnovers to win that game as well. Finally, the Packers have the Cowboys on deck and could possibly overlook this underachieving Eagles team so far.

Another point about this game too. This is a primetime game and the Eagles only getting around 30 percent action and line keeps gravitating back 4 at most books and this in spite of D. Jackson being declared out for this game. So I am seeing RLM for this game so the books are inviting even more action on the Packers.

Thanks man, it has been a nice start hitting at 65 percent so far.  I like your teaser by the way, I don't see the Eagles or Browns getting blown out and the Rams are not going to lose this to the Bucs so you good to go.
