ANY TIME YOU HAVE A HUMAN BEING INVOLVED THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR CORRUPTION, I.E. DONAVAN (NBA) TO MUCH MONEY INVOLVED TO THINK IT IS PURE COMPETITION. NO OTHER PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION (SPORTS OR OTHER) IS AS UNCLEAR ON THE RULES AS THE NFL, YOU COULD HAVE 10 DIFFERENT FOOTBALL EXPERTS GIVE 10 DIFFERENT EXPLANATIONS OF THE SAME RULE. CAN THE GROUND CAUSE A FUMBLE OR NOT?? ITS TOO SIMPLE TO BE THIS COMPLICATED AND ITS NOT CORRECTED BECAUSE THEY NEED THE CONTROVERSY. JUST ONE A#$%*HOLE'S OPINION, BUT ILL NEVER STOP BETTING , BECAUSE IT ENTERTAINS ME BUT I HOLD NO ILLUSIONS, IT'S NOT ABOUT THE BETTER TEAM ,AND WHEN IT COMES TO THE SPREAD AINT NO SUCH THING AS A BAD BET. BTW I HAD THE UNDER LAST NIGHT AND ONLY BECAUSE THIS SITE SHOWED HEAVY ON THE OVER,AND WITH THESE TWO OFFENSES AS OF LATE IT SEEMED LIKE IT SHOULD GO OVER.

people would read your story if the grammar wasnt so bad and it had structure or maybe even paragraph breaks....now dont say, oh who cares about grammar, its a forum, who cares if shits spelled right! if you want us to read a longer post, please make it attractive for reading.....
that said, the only thing ill never understand in NFL is why it matters whether you lose by 25 or 55...why punt down 3 scores? thats one thing ill never understand? they are trying to settle with losing by 25 instead of maybe one or two more scores? thats the thing ill never understand....idc if it was 4th and 22 on their own 30....the worst SD will do is get 3 more points bc they are only going to run it....it has and will never make sense to me....but hey maybe im just one of those retards that think the NFL is fixed...

Not every games but most single games or big games. We bet and put our money before game kickoff. I mean Vegas plays after us. They can see and monitor money .... those belongs to which side...they can do some magic things before or during the game.. That why Vegas is richer and richer .... That's unfair .. but we love gamble, not their issues. Sorry that's my own opinion

Yes I do.

For San Diego.....You don't try the field goal at the end of the game because you don't want to give denver the ball at midfield......Denver was really struggling on offense so you need to make them go 90 yards for a score......easy coaching decision........
Down by 3 scores with 9 minutes left you don't necessarily kick an onsides kick, maybe some coaches will.....Denver knows that the Chargers will run the ball into the ground being careful not to turn the ball over so they know they can make a stop......Ive seen 3 scores in 9 minutes many times in the NFL......
Denver punts at the end of the game because they need to save some self confidence ......and the game is over by then.....Plus its 4th and 22........
Not one of your reasons make any sense......Vegas makes money because people fall in love with the good teams.....All teams are full of pro players so any team is capable of winning at anytime...........and they collect a ton of juice on everything

This whole post is all bullshit........

I don't know if this is my nut job buddy who wrote this. ( he thinks every game he loses is fixed but not when he wins) or is it Jesse Ventura? my god people... once again... is it fixed if you are on the side that wins??????????????
Long read but with real examples, no bullshiet!!!!!
I am so hyped of hearing the answers of those people who will say this is bs.......bring it, i can`t wait of reading your lies on something that whatever person who bet the over on this game that if you wacthed the whole game you knew that something very strange was happening at the end of the game and i am actually talking especially from the point where san diego scores their 4 touchdown of the game and they go up 35-7 with 14min20sec remaining...........and here is where my theory starts
The NFL is one of the biggest if not the biggest profit that Vegas has at sports gambling and i see them very easily with all the $ressources$ they have and especially with all the influence they have over people which can be anyone from the commissioner of the nfl to the freaking towel boy and i mean everyone that is involved at making this beautifull sport happen!! Billions of dollars are played every weekend and i guarantee you that 1billion$ at least betted just on a nice weekly MNF..........now here is where the people controlling the gambling in vegas kicks in............the public was almost 50/50 on the %betting on the spread and close to 50/50 on the money line where a little more people took the money line on denver with around 56% which means that the public didn't bet a lot on the +400 for the denver win on the money line, the bets where less then an usual one bcse it pays out more. So then Vegas is sitting at a little loss with around 52% of the public winning easily at the 14:20 mark in the 4th quarter with the spread bet and the fact that at the money line they are even or losing a bit since not paying a lot at a win from san diego money line bet and not making that much with the +400 bets even tho the public loses with 56%. So them losing a little at this point on the money line and the spread, the total could be a bigger loss with over 70% of the people on the total for the over which was 50 to 51 points, so that's when that influence and connections kick in for vegas to CONTROL the NFL!!!!! They defenetly don't do it at all times but in scenarios like this where every fool out there who was involved with a bet on this MNF game between san diego and denver on the total or on the game knew that something fishy was going on...........so with 14min20sec left you are down 35-7........here is where all the evidence starts..........vegas and i mean the people controlling its gambling get the message as quickly as possible to their connections and the people they control involving the NFL, and i guarantee u that after the denver touchdown with 8min55sec remaining the message was clear to those involved and in control of the outcome of the game. The funny part here that we are not even talking about the referees of this game even tho this year they've been calling more often penalties and from which many are very strange. So the message is this game needs to stop scoring, they don't necessarly need to know the number to stay under just that it's time to cool it off, turn it down which ever way that it's still a game. With 8min55sec it's very obvious even for a kid who likes the nfl that you go for the onside kick, down 3td and with a san diego team who messed with your defence all game long....... so rigth away clear example that the message was in!!!! San Diego get's the ball at their 20 line after a clear intentional do not do an onside kick, and marches down the field to the denver 40, 2nd down and 5 to go, they get 2 penalties of 5yards one for false start and the other on a strange delay of game from a timeout!!!! from coming after a timeout, are you kidding me, very obvious oopss we made it to far let's make sure we don't score even a field goal!!! San Diego punts and with 4min44sec denver gets the ball at their 9 yard line. Usually most if not all real nfl games in this situation you see the team down by much march down the field and try to score and most of the time scoring or beeing really close, and what i mean by that is that the denver quarterback trew 4 straigth complete passes for 8 yards, then 10, 8 and 5 yards!!! They clearly had the message the denver side too, do not score just cool it..........i mean come one they didn't try there to go do whatever most if not all of the other teams would have done in that situation. Incredible is that you can actually see the denver defence attackers trying really really hard, as if it was a very close game. Denver get's to 4th and 22 at their 28 yard line and they intentionally go for a punt and not for it, just to make sure that san diego wouldn't go for 3 and out and a late field goal to cover. I know for a fact that some people will come in here and say that this is bullshiet and bash me and say stupid things, but i am here to show you a clear example of the NFL beeing controlled by vegas to this point, and i am very sorry and verry very dissapointed that this is real and it's defenetly a spit on this beautifull game which i love so much and follow every sunday!!! This world is full of crap, and lies and defenetly trickery, and the funny part is that i didn't even bet on this game and i could see this since knowing the lines and following lot's of discussion in the forums here. Try to leave a smart comment, no need for stupidity, even tho i know that there are a few muppets who love to shiet on a topic......lol..........was just trying to share this with you and hope you BOL on all your future bets!!!! And by the way english is my 3rd language, if there are mistakes i sincerely apologise, tried to correct it tomy best.....Later

I don't know what was funnier, the actual post, which is a Hall-of-Fame worthy example of insane gambler's paranoia run amok, or some of the replies in support of this kid.
Do shady things happen in sports? You betcha.
Is there corruption in the NFL? Likely. You're dealing with fallible, vulnerable human beings.
But if you believe in the 4th quarter of a football game that all of a sudden, a communications thread between roughly a dozen people (league officials, referees, coaches) as you suggested will begin to try and 'control the outcome,' then you need to put down the Crown Royal, hit stop on the dvd of Oliver Stone's "JFK" you've apparently been watching on a loop, and get some professional help.
It's a logistical impossibility, not to mention a situation that could easily be exposed.
The majority of pro athletes make too much money to be 'bought' or 'controlled' by Vegas. The average NBA player salary is 7 figures; why risk that kind of guaranteed $$?
Also, in the NFL, only a few players - QBs, RBs & WRs and Kickers - can have a direct and immediate impact on a game.
I don't discount conspiracy theories at all, only the ridiculous ones borne out of anger, frustration and helplessness.
And BTW, I was on the Over last night. How come no one is mentioning the Kaeding FG that came up a half-yard short in the 1H? If that hits, game covers. Was Kaeding under orders to not make that kick??
There were also at least 2 possessions in the 1H that ended near the red zone without any points being scored. Does that mean the fix was in after the 1Q??
C'mon. if you devoted half the time you spend devising these crazy scenarios to capping games, you'd probably have a winning record.

Well well well, now remember people that i already mentioned it in my original writing that i never placed a bet on this game, and if you lazy bums who bash this topic bcse you are muppets living in a perfect world where nothing like this could ever happen, i say to you, stop reading between lines, if you are to lazy and only read what you want to read and then you make commentaries then you can all give me a big fat kiss where the sun doesn`t shine. I did my research well on this and most of the things i mentioned from the point again at the 8min55sec mark when the score became 35-14 the game changed completly which was very strange. Don`t forget about the fact that a lot of people pounded the over in the second half, which must have been rigth around 24 so that didn`t need to hit either. And listen if you are a player on one of those teams and you get the order to cool it off or to just run the clock do you actually care to say why, no you just executed, the players are the tools only need 1 or 2 influence on the team for vegas to make this happen. And by the way mister Bruce78, wanna be Kasparov here, it`s obvious your understanding of a football game is way different then most people, who the fuck cares where you give the ball to san diego as long as you get a real chance of getting the ball back right away, or who gives a shiet its 4 and 22 and you give the ball to san diego at your 28 yard line when the game is almost done, maybe people like you do, but this shows a lot, that both team did their best in the last 9min of the game to make sure none of them score any more points. The players are not part of it, they are just muppets who get told what to do!!!!

Aren't we overlooking the obvious here? The people watching the game (which oddly enough included a man looking very similar to a former Pro Wrestler/Governor) at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Schenectady NY wanted the Under so the dude behind the bar jiggled a switch which in turn alerted "those in on it" at the game and wham, the Under it is...
and everybody cheered.
I actually teased the game to O44 so I cheered too.

I call bullshit on the "I didn't bet the game". Nobody takes the time and or effort to try and prove a game is fixed unless hey felt they got cheated in some way. Fixing games happens but not nearly as much as in the past or as much as you think. I believe I read somewhere the powers in charge think around 1% of all games are fixed or an attempt to fix happens.
Every time a point spread or total is close people with losing totes, eeerrrr I mean people who didn't bet the game call fix. What you are suggesting would take way too many people to pull off and with that no perfect crime. It would be exposed eventually. Also too much money involved on both ends for no one to expose a fix if and when it happens.

I can say something was definitely fishy going on. But ever since that Troy Polomalu thing that happened a couple years ago at the end of the game sealed it for me. That was probably the most blatant cheating ive ever seen
Well I'm a realist, and in this country anything that involves big money involves corruption. I don't know when and what games are tampered with, but after the Pittsburgh game, you have to be a FOOL to not believe VEGAS doesnt have a say in any of these games. And you also have to be a FOOL if you think The NBA ref Donague (however you spell it) was the only corrupt person in all of professional sports.

When you win, you say it was because of your great handicapping skills.
When you lose, you say it's fixed.
Whatever helps you sleep at night!!
I agree alot of people cry fixed after hey lose. But if after the Steelers and Chargers game a couple of years ago, you still don't believe that VEGAS has their hand in games, you are to Naive to even explain anyhting too. Not supporting that the San Diego game was fixed, but merely supporting that games are tampered with, and when you wager, just hope to God you're on the right side, because somebody has to be on the right side, lol.

The players are not part of it, they are just muppets who get told what to do!!!!
keep believing it was fixed bro......Maybe a player once in a while shades a game......But saying that players are muppets and the NFL makes a call to both teams to keep a game under is absolutely hilarious......you're an idiot for thinking that

The initial post is nonsensical garbage. To keep a conspiracy that wide spread under wraps would be impossible.
The scoring slowed down because the Bolts had a 4 TD lead at one point. Their game plan changed from an offensive passing attack to a keep the clock moving run dominated strategy.
Denver didn't stop trying to score. They just suck!
Only losers complain and invent conspiracy theories.
