Pats are rushing 122.3 yards a game & they are 1 of only 2 AFC teams who have not fumbled this year
and without a deep threat there will be an 8man box which equals no more open slants and no more space to run. this is great, i hate the patriots anyway.

Yeah, just like MN didn't miss Sidney Rice.
I'm not saying it's a terrible move if he was being a pain in the ass, but to say it's not that big of a loss is a bit of a joke.

You don't understand Moss, my friend. He's a good teammate EARLY ON. It's when he's been around a while that he can be a malcontent. He did it with MN at the end....he did it with Oakland at the end. He will be fine for this year....he'll feel wanted again.

You still need a legitimate QB, Brett doesn't look the same since the Saints put him on his ass

If you watched the games, you'd know who much S. Rice being out has affected the offense. He has no one who can make a play on a jump ball. No one. It's a major problem. We'll see how it plays out. No guarantees, but how can you criticize a move like this?

Moss thrived on the structure and discipline instilled in the NE Belichick system.
______________
How is that structure doing this year?
Moss thrives when he feels wanted and appreciated. He will get that at least for this year in MN. And he plays best when he wants to show someone up (like the team that got rid of him....or didn't draft him).

As I said, it's all about being wanted. MN went out and traded for him...he is obviously wanted. With a potential lockout coming and with all MN's FA's, he will not IMO bitch once about his contract. He will say, "it's all about football now."
“When you have done so much and put so much work in, it kind of feels like I am not wanted,” Moss said in September. “I am taking that in stride and playing my final year out and whatever the future holds is what it holds, but it is kind of a bad feeling—feeling not wanted. It is not like my production has gone down.”

yes it sucks losing Moss...are the Patriots better today? No! Is Brady happy about this? No! (he and Moss have had a great relationship) Tom has a history of turning "nobodys" into solid recievers ie: Branch, Givens & Patten...I know the Pats are high on Tate, they drafted him (correct me if im wrong) in the 3rd round when he had a known knee injury....I think we are still confident here in NE that we will have a strong team going forward...NE completely controls the draft next year, they can do anything

Are you kidding me? He is still one of the best deep threats and route runners in the league...did you see what the Ravens D did to the Patriots in January WITH Randy Moss?
The Ravens have the #1 ranked secondary thus far, teb Patriots sure won't be runnign the ball on the Ravens. brandon tate is solid but no Moss.

Wouldn't like this move for the season. However, I love this move for the future.
Agreed. This makes Pats chances this year significantly lower... but if they do make it to the Super Bowl, they will look like a genius. But if the Vikes are there to greet them, well maybe not so much lol
Definitely a smooth move for the offseason

So i guess a week worth of rest will do him wonders, and the whole entire off season did nothing for him?
His age is showing guys, look for a lot of interceptions this season, Brett will throw the ball up for grabs a heck of lot more now.

Minnesota ans getting there hopes up, once again.

Yep 3rd round... 19th overall in the round. What scares me though is that NE has an uncanny ability to get rid of players before the bottom drops out. Hell I don't care as long as Moss finishs his career as a Viking and goes into the HOF as a Viking I will be content with the trade. Something did not sit right with seeing Randy in any other color than purple and gold.
One thing I cannot get though and perhaps some Pats fans can shine a light on this... how can NE make this trade now? I know they are screwd and continue to build for their future but when do you play for the present? Something about that doesn't make sense. Either way BOL to both teams. Vikes needed this deep threat so hopefully it will work out.

saintsfan being a jackass again. And his usual selective reading.
I said this thing could go both ways, but you're an idiot if you think it was a bad move. Earlier you were talking about how MN was done because they had no S. Rice. Now you're making fun of a move to address that. Simpleton.
