I bumped the thread in the General Discussion forum about bitcoin.
The first post in the thread.... Bitcoin was 30 bucks in 2013. Jeesh.

Makes me feel ill.
Makes me feel ill.
I think it was even earlier than 2013. I dunno.... The brain is a weird thing, right?
I hate that you love the Ravens tonight. I saw a stat at how bad BM is under pressure historically and how it's supposed to be windy tonight. All good things for the Ravens.... I'm letting it ride though. And then we'll see what opportunities present themselves in-game.

Please. No worries.

I joined Covers on the July of that year, looking to make money sports gambling (lol) and the thread to all future fortunes was about bitcoin in the general forum.

likely to be a push, we'll take the win...but the right call and nice to hear from you VZ!
Stick around for the finish of the season, who knows if they'll shut it all down after that again

I watched the replay at one point they got the 33 yard line on the laterals lol

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than be good. What a rollercoaster ride. And I wouldn’t have been on it except for you, as I had circled this as a definite stay-away game. But I’m glad I joined in. It was fun. Please keep posting.

“One bettor at
wagered $40,000 on the Cleveland Browns alternate spread +4.5 at -130 odds on #MNF. He loses that bet on the final multi-lateral play that results in a safety.”
Ouch!

Post Mortem....
I have a rule. If the game falls within 1 score of the spread, it is a game I try to avoid. I have written a lot about this here at Covers over the years.
Basically - one of the main strategies I have is to try and identify games that have a wide spread on the standard deviation - ie more variance potential (hopefully skewed towards my side).
It is very rare that I look at a game like last nights and say I would bet it again - but I would bet this one again. I still believe the 84 out of 100 I posted in the original post. This result was crazy the way it played out - but there were a lot of very strange events in the game - and I give credit to Cle for their gameplan and playcalling.
I have been on the opposite side of the pitch play moose jobs a few times (SF vs AZ last year).
And this one was particularly lucky the way it played out.... Jackson spiked the ball on a running clock (before the FG) with 7 secs. If he would have been more mindful or better coached, he would have waiting until 2 or 3. That left enough time for the kickoff which was requirement #1.
Requirement 2 was the kickoff itself. Cleveland was not set up to execute the pitch play on the kickoff. They had one guy back to return - and if he would have returned it the game would have likely ended with a tackle. But.... The ball bounced at like the 5 yard line and took a huge hop over the returners head. Which was incredibly lucky (or unlucky).
Then the play was there for the taking. Everything was set up perfectly for the defensive TD or safety. At this point - it was no longer a big longshot that the safety would happen. It was everything leading up to it that had to happen that made it a longshot.
Anyways.... Not good for health and long life- but good for short term sportsbook balance lol.

Vanzack is hands down one of the greatest guys on covers. Good call on the Ravens bud, GucciCapper was on the same side!
BTC 2013 thread is amazing. The math behind hedging and all the advice to CG back when he went pro was amazing.
Keep up the good work.
