Steeler fans, remember 1994 and the same attitude you guys had towards that game...
yea i do....
two totally different situations. bill cowher didnt have his team in the right frame of mind. add in a SB video that they made and there you have it. not this year.......
this team had already won SB. they know what it takes this time around.. go find natron means....mabey he can help you. or stan humphries... worst SB team in history. steve young went to the hall of fame due to your inability to stop anything in that game. young had 6 tds 0 interceptions. yea i remember....

wow.. you ruined all credibility when you stated you are a chargers fan.... you're emotionally vested and so betting "(LARGE)" is always a good idea in this situation. judging by your comments, you obviously dont get it in many ways. go ahead, you seem like a pro!
Even funnier, you dont even make your point. If SD is overratted and NE doesnt deserve playoffs (yes they do more than SD), how does comparing that to what you think is an overrated Pitt QB make your point???? huh? whatever 'SD Fan-atic'. now just settle down after your non-deserving win over indy and relax. big ben is not even "hyped" up enough to be overrated. no one is chalking him up as top 5 QB in the league or the next montana. The media just rap about his knack for winning, which is true. so shut your pie hole, sit back on sunday and watch SD get run over by the steelers. the colts have a mediocre D and had incredible pass rush (with out much blitz) on rivers all night and will be all over the rush, leading to at least 2 picks by steelers secondary. they will prove you had no reason being in the postseason, much less hosting a playoff game. you should be more scared that the colts win just bought Norv another year. any pick I see from you here on out.. I will be sure and run for cover.
out.
2 Picks w/ Townsend & Taylor???? Good luck! Let's see how well that CB duo does against Chambers/Jackson. Let me guess . . . . the ole bringing up the previous game is your next step. AGAIN, 1 GAME IS NOT A SAMPLE SIZE TO USE. LEARN THE GAME AND LEARN STATISTICS.

You are crazy for not grabbing the SD ML early yesterday and just before gametime. On Saturday, I saw the 25th ranked D totally shut down the Indy run game and they'll do the same to Pitt. Indy quite possibly scored only 10 points last weekend if for one lapse of focus. Thats solid D. I expect to see more SD sacks this weekend. Pitts D is solid but I really think their offense struggles. As I said in previous posts, NE didn't make the playoffs (SD nemesis) and if NE didn't beat the Chargers the last 2 post seasons, we would be discussing a possible 3-peet.
You know I totally agree with you. For some reason on both sides of the ball whether they have injuries or not their is something about Norv Turner and this team that turn it up at just the right time (end of season and playoffs). Now don't get me wrong I love picking on this team during the regular season because thats when I think the Chargers are horrible but their has to be something going on when they suddenly rev the engine going into the playoffs. I thought they were crazy for hiring Norv Turner after the firing of Marty but they have proved to me that they are a playoff hungry team. The six points I assure you is nothing for the Chargers to cover but I still don't know if I even need the points and miss out on a great payout.

P.S. Thats TWO years in a row now! You can't say the Chargers take their last chance and run with it!

It will be a close game as long as Rivers and the bolts show up to play. Expect it to be within 3 points
Right now I would be completely shocked if after how the end of the Colts game and getting the division title felt like destiny, parted with how tough the Chargers have played the end of the season as well as last that they will come out anything short of covering the +6. Personally I wouldn't trust Pittsburgh just yet in the playoffs. Last year as a homedog against a team you should of wanted revenge for after a loss at home in Week 15 to the same Jaguars you had your first playoff game against and come out and let the Jags climb out to a 14 point lead that tells me alot about them.

I'm thinking that right when the line came out as -6 that EVERYONE is going to think what you just said. The Steelers dominated the numbers yet won by a point.

Didn't realize the Colts had the 24th ranked run defense, yeah Sproales isn't going anywhere this weekend. Steelers by 10.
Last year I heard similar things when the Chargers played both the Colts and the Patriots in thinking that a beat up Chargers team won't be able to hang but then they did.

PITTSBURG HAS A TERRIBLE HOME PLAYOFF RECORD IN RECENT YEARS. THEY BARELY BEAT THE CHARGERS THIS YEAR AND DID NOT MAKE IT INTO THE ENDZONE ONCE AGAINST AN DEPLETED AND WEAK DEFENSE DURING THAT PART OF THE SEASON.

I SAY "IF IT WEREN'T FOR A PITT SAFETY, CHARGERS WIN THE GAME." THE PICK FUMBLE FOR A TD AT THE END (ALTHOUGH IT AFFECTED THE SPREAD) WAS A LAST MINUTE DESPERATE ACT BY THE CHARGERS WHO HAD NO TIMEOUTS AND REALLY DID NOT MATTER ANYWAY. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT PITT OFFENSE IS VERY SUSPECT. SO REALLY IT WILL BE THE CHARGERS OFFENSE VS THE PITT DEFENSE, JUST LIKE LAST GAME

steelers cant even beat thy pats and will lose to superchargers fo sho
steelers fans need 2 get ova thy selves
pats #1
I'm confused. You guys couldn't hang with us this year. Maybe next year you can make the playoffs. And maybe you'll put up more than 10 against us next time.
I can't believe I'm even responding to your post

I'm changing my tune now. Originally I was saying bet the house on SD. Now I have changed my mind. The thing of it is, the Steelers lost a tough one at home last year in the playoffs to the Jaguars. And they remember that. And so does their coach. Add to that the fact that there are alot of players on that roster that have Super Bowl experience. And alot of playoff experience on top of that. This team is very mature. Not only that, they had a nice reality check in Tennessee in week 16 and they are coming off a week of rest following a 31-0 beating that they dealt to their most hated rival, the Cleveland Browns.
The Steelers are in a good spot here. However, the concussion that Ben suffered could affect his performance. And if you think it certainly wont, you're kidding yourself. I think he'll be fine due to the week off but that remains to be seen.
The Steelers could easily win this game by 7 or more. And personally if you're foolish enough to bet the house against it, you deserve to lose it.
And the Chargers' fans that are ripping Ben... He didn't get to play Oakland's defense twice this year. He didn't get to play Denver's D twice this year. He did not have the luxury of playing KC twice this year . And he didn't play Buffalo and New Orleans. Wow!!! Those were Rivers' opponents this year. While Rivers was the biggest Pro Bowl snub of all time, he did it this year against the worst D's in the NFL.
Ben played Baltimore twice... Philadelphia, New England, Dallas, Washington, Tennessee, the NY Giants, the Colts...
These are the best defenses in the league! The very best! Look at the numbers. Those defenses are all top notch! The Steelers had the toughest schedule that any team has had in years and Ben led his team to a 12-4 record. So don't be too proud of your QB. He had a very good season but he did it against idiots. And Ben is still better.
Go ahead and bet your house on SD. You might win, but if you dont (and it's not really a smart bet), you cant say I didn't warn you. And don't come to my doorstep begging for bread.

The Steelers needed that week off, they had too many tough games this year and might of ran out of gas vs the Titans, I'm sure they gathered themselves, got rested and are ready to play. Not sure how much Big Bens concussion is going to come into play, they might play it a little more conservative on offense that will lead to a low scoring game.
Regarding 1994 AFCCG.....IMO that loss very well could of cost the the 95 Superbowl, they didn't have the Superbowl experience, regarding distractions, and the pre game hype, letting the experienced Cowboys jump on them early, and of course Neil Odonnell and the WR(whoever fault it was) might of been on the same page, and knew what to do.

San Diego ML is the play here! Rivers had a safety and a pick in the redzone in their first meeting and still only lost by a point. The chargers are a much different team now than they were 7 weeks ago, Phil Rivers is playing lights out and will find a way to overcome the ferocious steel curtain. Big Ben coming off a concussion will not be up to par and will suffer because of it. Momentum is on SD big time and if I've learned anything in the NFL playoffs is YOU RIDE THE HOT TEAMS! and at +245 is shaping up for a big payday this sunday......

I just wanted to post that again. I never realized the huge difference in difficulty between the two schedules. And the Chargers went 8-8. Mmmmm...

I don't see Sproles having 305 total yds vs. this defense & only 1 qb has had more than 1 td pass vs Pitt all year ( P. Manning:3)
Rivers is a good QB, but i don't see him getting it done here... this game reminds me of when dallas played there & was close, then that defense took command & pulled away.... You run the ball & play defense Pitt has proven that all yr, played a hell of a schedule & SD on road, it will be cold ( calling for a high of about 20 Sunday ) This won't be an offensive game & that plays right into Steelers hands.. i like Pitt +6 regardless who @ QB
