Imagine almost beating Denver by 1 pt with 4 turnovers just to lose with a 12 man on the field penalty? I've been a Bills fan my entire life, live in Buffalo, been to games since I was a kid, and I've never been this emotionally numb to a season. Absolutely insane how the team has collapsed in the last 10 months.

Honestly Smiley is the one that should be immediately fired. Tons and tons and tons of blunders but for which Buffalo probably crushes the Broncos. But some blunders were already put into the line or it would have been 12-15 points if the Bills were playing well. The biggest blunder. The most inexcusable, especially after the game played itself out, was the 12 men on the field with the first field goal attempt. Smiley should have been immediately fired.

That teams been cursed ever since Frank Reich won the comeback game vs the Oilers..then went to Pitt won that one..but was benched and Levy put Kelly back for the SB and broke the momentum up, and then the Flutie benching in place of Rob Johnson vs Tennessee Music City miracle with that Wade Phillips..Cursed.

Rumors have swirled for months in Buffalo that Josh Allen doesn't put in the work in the film room and that he depends on his talent to win the day and the result is that he is grossly unprepared on game day. Apparently Stephon Diggs and other teammates have taken exception to Allen's laziness and lack of preparation. People are talking. The loss of OC Brian Daboll had a noticeable affect on the Bills' offense, an eroding of production.
Allen is a loose, out of control cannon out there who assumes he can win games simply by willing plays to work. The turnovers are killing this team.
They fired the OC but what about the Special Teams coach who can't keep 12 men from off the field? McDermott is obviously rattled and the sharks all sense there is blood in the water. These wacky antics on the field and the weak kneed solutions are bound to get the attention of the owner sooner than later? This might be SM's last year.

@NONEED4LUCK You are mistaken, that is the special teams' coach's job first and foremost and his name is Matthew Smiley.
Agreed if I was McBraindead I would have fired Smiley on the spot. If nothing else but to save his own job. I would be saying hey the buck stops here. These mistakes are unexcusable. They won't happen again. If they do happen you are fired. No second chances. That is the world we live in. In the long run does it save his job maybe not indefinitely but definitely gets him through the year.

I still have my Flutie jersey and unopened box of Flutie Flakes! Still have my andre reed and eric moulds too. Im proud to be from buffalo although i live in FL now. I watch every bills game on red zone. I watched kelly when i was real little but flutie was the man when i was old enough to appreciate the game more and what i was watching.
I must say I too have become numb to this team and i agree with you 100% they have never recovered from the 13 second game. I haven't even recovered as a fan so i can only imagine dealing with that as a player and feeling like that was your one chance and you may not get it again.
The team is totally dejected. Its a constant here we go again feeling they have. They have zero pride now. The only heart and emotion i see from them is on the defensive side of the ball from johnson and porter and milano when he was healthy.
This team needs to get the fire back and the swagger they had when they made that run 2 years ago. They need to do some soul searching.
I did not know about the rumors of allen not putting in the work and that really disappoints me because i love that hes our guy and the crazy runs he makes and hurdling guys. I hold my breath every time but its just so buffalo. And fitzpatrick screaming shirtless at the playoff game vs cincy.
Allen is lost right now. I dont mind that the guy throws picks. I dont think hes been that bad this year. Theyve been in every game thanks to the defense. But allen hasnt made an inordinate amount of bad mistakes. But he has no pride right now.
That really saddens me that hes not putting in the work. And that could explain this team coming out looking totally unprepared every week.
Im glad to see dorsey go bc i think the play calling has been atrocious. Refusing to run the ball while gaining 8 yds per rush. Going 4 wide shotgun on 4th and a foot constantly all year long when you have a monster runner at qb.
All that being said, if they can find some pride and some emotion and snap back into it they have the ability to win vs chiefs/eagles/cowboys/dolphins at least 2 of those games and beat the jets, chargers, and pats, and sneak into the wildcard at 10-7.
OR maybe miami drops their last 3 vs dallas, baltimore, and then buffalo, or maybe the jets steal 1 of 2 from the dolphins and buffalo can still win the division. They got a big hill to climb but its definitely possible
