Please try and disregard my hometown state under my screen name to the left. I must ask the fine people here at covers if I'm the only one feeling a huge let down for the Patriots this Thursday in Detroit. The line opened at -7 for the Pats at most books and my phone is already blowing up from intown friends about how you can get a great number in the early going. Please tell me their are other's out their that are ready to go against 0-6su and 0-6ats the last 6 seasons for the Lions on Turkey Day. Their last victory was back in 11/27/03 vs Green Bay W 22-14 a season they only won 4 games. The early numbers are Pat's -7 and o/u 50.5....

I'm leaning to the Lion's catching more than the TD closer to game time and over the total...

I'm sure we should expect this number to creep much passed a TD thats offered right now. Most likely 9 to 10 by game time?

Prob get up to 8. but detroits defenseis horrible and pats will put up a bunchof points imo......safer bet is over.

that is a hard trend to go against. there are factors im going to dig into. N.E. is coming off a su win but a ats loss on a short week. lets see the numbers on that one. REASEARCH TIME

Tease NE to pickem and Jets to under FG is best play.  Don't see Det beating NE and that Cinci secondary just lost bunch of guys in Buf game.  Jets is becoming a passing team (something that's going to hurt them come play-off time, mark my words).

Det line now under 7.

You'll appreciate this.  I'm a huge patriots fan and I assure you that Detroit can hang within a touchdown.  The patriots are playing amazing ball right now, but our defense is weak and Detroit at home is a tough place to play these days.  They have fast and physical receivers which will pose a big match-up problem for us.  At the very least a backdoor cover is LIKELY if not INEVITABLE.



GL Odds.  As a rule, I don't bet against my team ever.. but I don't mind recommending to one of my covers brothers that Detroit is a very good bet this weekend over a touchdown.

 No way that this New England Pats version lays 7 points at road even versus the Lions, make no mistake Pats are the better team and they should win, but I expect Detroit to make it a competitive game, remember this same Lions team almost beat the Jets at Detroit ... the value is on the Lions ...

Don' tease things that much. Sometimes i will do a 8pt 3 teamer @ -110 or -120 (depending on the book). But when I do them it's mostly NBA or CBB. Not a fan of teasing. Big straight bettor always have been...

 I was waiting for smeon to say this/ Thought I was the only cray asshole ready to bet on teh Lions on Turkeyday. The funny thing here for me is the last time I placed a wager on the Lions was in that game that the Packers were in town when Joey Harrington was supposed to be our savoir. The next bet I made on Turkeyday involving a Lions game was fading the Lions when Peyton Manning and the boys came to town a few years back. So I have been pretty fortunate with these wagers thus far. It has been quite some time I could honestly say their was value on the Lions on Turkey Day but this Thursday seems that way. Well at least to me...
