First of all we all know this was a make up call  for last week. Second the guy took three steps then extended for the goalline. Third I didn't see the ball hit the ground I seen his forearm hit the ground not the ball and when it came out he caught it again without it hitting the ground. This is basically the refs showing "they have no bias towards the Cowboys" and we get a bad matchup for the NFC Championship.

Dallas loses because the replay official doesn't believe Dez makes a football move. This hurts. I would have been ok with a loss almost any other way. But not on a questionable replay call.

You guys crack me up, if it was truly fixed, why did they call it on the field a catch and risk McCarthy not challenging the call?  I would love to think it's fixed, but always the losing bettors cry "fix" when they have the losing ticket.  I understand the reasoning of the reversal and it's a very tough beat but since Perriera called it correctly as the expert that is would be reversed, does this mean he is on the fix as well?

I don't like this call either....  I thought it was a catch.

What a time for McCarthy to actually win a challenge.

Exactly. The point was that's the rule you are all complaining about in action. It looked like a catch to everyone. Two feet down with possession but after coming down he spins around to party and puts ball on ground and it's a not catch.
I agree it's a bizarre rule but it's the rule.

Also watch the play today. The ball hits the ground and moves.

He also took steps that was a fumble recovered by Bryant ball spotted at 1 can't advance your own fumble or a td! Dopey ref had it right on field!

Pereira himself said nothing else matters other than making a football move. How many steps he took , elbow down, only if he made a football move. In his opinion he did not. I completely disagree.  But neither of our opinions matter just the replay official.

Pereira himself said nothing else matters other than making a football move. How many steps he took , elbow down, only if he made a football move. In his opinion he did not. I completely disagree.  But neither of our opinions matter just the replay official.

I challenge anyone to send me a gif file of the ball hitting the ground with clear and convincing evidence. I only see forearm and since he caught it anyway after the forearm caused the ball to move the call was actually incorrect twice.

I was at the 2010 bears game when calvin johnsons catch was overturned, same thing no catch. Thats the rule, the ground can cause an incompletion on a pass play. on a rush the ground cant cause a fumble.

You dont have to agree w/ the rule, but thats what it is.

LMAO yea according to these guidelines you can take 15 steps toward the endzone and score without making  a single football move but it wouldn't be a catch

^so if that rule has always been in effect, why is the calvin johnson play the first time in history anyone knew about the rule?  shouldn't plays like that have been called a couple of times every season before 2010?

I just watched it ten times. Left arm is out above his shoulder cupping ball then ball and forearm hit the ground and the ball shifted up. I don't know how you can't see it. It hit the ground if you can't see but that's your opinion. Game's over Boys lose.

I'm not sure if it was a catch or not,its a judgement call, depending what you think a football move is,i thought the calvin johson play was a catch when I first saw it,but it leaves it up to the officials judgement unfortunately. But I do think they ball touched the ground.

Frankly I'm curious to hear what the NFL says tomorrow about it. They said the Lions got screwed last week.

Pereira said it doesn't matter how many steps he took after Long says it looks like he took 3 steps.
