This is the perfect set-up game.  One side looks like a mortal
lock (Rams) everyone in the universe is going to bet Rams.
Then the perfect back door cover job, and everyone gets taken
down.

You do realize when players and "other guys" get together on a game, the spread is more than 3 points. A PLUS 3 spread is to hard to get done, compared to a PLUS 9 or  a MINUS 13. You don't have the 1st clue on 'Fixed" games, and this my friend, is NOT one of them

if Hasselbitch plays next week then slam all you got on the opposite team.  I picked Seattle and was a little nervous at first until I turned on the TV and Whitehurst was the QB instead.

you were right, that is why is so hard to pick some games but others are obvioulsy going to be fixed.. for what reason who knows (most these players blow there millions on rims and what not) it looks more like a collaborative effort.

i know it sounds like a boring story but. just about every game was fixed across the board one way or the other.  gb bears 10-3 cutler plays for no motive but still doesnt get close.  Did anyone else see he body language the last minute he was slow as fuck getting to the line.. sure u can say he had the playoff spot wrapped up. then why play him?  colts titans (block in the back at the end of the 1st half to make sure he didnt run back the td. replay showed he hit him square in the chest.  then when the jags game was announced finished. the colts get the ball back and manning plays like jesus to finish the game.  denver scores 2 quick td's to cover the spread. and the skins if no one has noticed by now they cover every 3.5 spread at home with a 60 yard td pass in the last 3minutes.   DONT BE SURPRISED TO SEE THE PATRIOTS IN THE SUPER BOWL AVERGING 30points like they did that a few years ago and have the lowest scoring game of their year in the super bowl.... just saying.  if your going to bet pick 1 or 2 games and go against the public regardless how ridiclous the bet

I live here in Las Vegas, and one thing Iearned LONG ago was to look at where the money goes. When you have a game where the money is heavily shaded to the side of the favorite, the sports books need the underdog to either win or get the back-door cover otherwise the sports books take a bath. You always watch for the line to move as well, and fade the PUBLIC...the key is to be the LONE WOLF and not follow the pack.

To paraphrase Bill Parcells...if you follow the public and think you will always win...consider yourself sucked!

glad i got some support guys, thanks, no one wants to say it sometimes but this stuff happens in sports. whether it happened in this particular game or not is up for debate. all the nay sayers are quiet this morning now hmmmmmmm

The Seahawks was obviously the right play here.  First off a disclaimer I didn't bet this one, but was leaning the Hawks but for the reasons listed below not because I thought it was a fix.  

- Rams a dome team playing outdoors in Seattle
- Rams traveling over 2,000 miles to play Seattle
- Seahawks had an over .500 record at home
- Rams had a rookie quarterback playing his biggest NFL game.  A rookie quarterback with a reputation for blowing big games
- Rams only decent win was against the Chargers

Also the whole premise of your fix being the Rams win but don't cover didn't pane out.
