Beast you really should invest in a HD TV color TV and throw out that 12 inch Black and white you watched super bowl 1 on

And in the future leave all QB evaluations to others who have the Red Zone, NFL Network , ESPN or at least cable TV

    Thanks buddy

No I read newspapers with qualfied reporters who get down to the essential nitty gritty. Unlike the internet PARROTS who lost the ability to think independently. The 12 inch black and white serves me just fine.

Agree with Mysticrich. Carson Palmer played a terrific season. In fact he averaged one full yard per play more than Cam "MVP" Newton who benefited from the easiest schedule in the league.

But as DoctorSuccess mentioned, his finger injury and age are indicators for a possible decline.

I agree the Pats have a good front 7 and that Arizona doesn't have a stellar O-line. That combined with Jimmy's first start could make the Under a very solid play.

Not many QB's are going to be able to win their first road start against a good team. The value is there and maybe he could surprise but I don't see it against a balanced team like Arizona at home at night, on a night they'll be honoring the recently deceased Dennis Green also.

Beast, you're a typical homer blowhard. I can't even call what you post analysis it's so ridiculous.

I had NE -6.5 vs Steelers. Last year wasnt the same because Brady won his first appeal. The Pats were satisfied. At Indy they were -10 and it had backdoor cover written all over it. -10 is different than +5 to +7.

Seeing is believing as far as ANYONE actually betting serious money against the NE Patriots Football Team with Bill Belichik as Headcoach and +5.5 points. Spare me all this Carson Palmer nonsense as if Carson Palmer is a Tom Brady clone. News flash: There sellimg a bridge in Brooklyn.

Every QB can look good and win regular season games on the Patriots Brady proved that for years ,  Put Brady on any other team in this league he would be brutal

Brady is so spoiled standing in a shot gun throwing 0-10 yards   If he played anywhere else he would  be  exposed  for the Fraud that he is

So don't talk foolish like any QB that's sitting behind  Brady can start anywhere else

Matt Cassel , Hoyer ,  Ryan Mallet all thought to be good and starting QB s on other teams
hpw did that work out ?

At least the three QB'S mentioned unlike Garoppolo played division 1 football they didn't play teams like Towson in front of less people than at a high school football game /

Bottom line Garoppolo will win games with the Patriots not because he's good it's  just because the Patriots are the easiest team in football  to be a QB on ,

     Garoppolo would flop anywhere else

Correction  the 3 Qb's Hoyer Mallet and Cassel did not all play in a Division 1 college  football game

Cassell as we know never started in a game at USC but won 11 games as starting QB for the Patriots , if this doesn't tell you something

     i mean really

But i can just watch a game from a QB'S perspective and know what's hard ,easy and or just ordinary

What's asked of  Brady as the QB on this Patriot team is so pedestrian it's laughable that anyone would think this stuff is great

if Brady  went to say the Green Bay Packers he  wouldn't win a game he would not last the season before being replaced

Yes Garoppolo or Brissett as Patriot QB will win games along with a countless list of other names of 2nd and 3rd stringers not playing

Speculation ? the point was made very well Beast

Cassel Hoyer Mallet all stiffs not even worth talking about

Garopollo to follow ,  Brady  a Fraud who would never win anywhere else . it all fits Beast wake up !

Its all about the Patriots easy system that requires little skill from the QB position.

Beast get back on the old Meds and stop  thinking ,  your role on here was always just  agreeing with me .

Mysticrich my role is to separate the wheat from the chaff in other words I have no "favorite" player or team to root for rather I look for an edge using information from this site. Much of the time I am in agreement with you mysticrich and respect some of your sports insight. The difference between thebeast and too many folks on this sight is the failure of many to not become emotionally defensive about their favorite team.
Ive noticed that 99% of attacks directed at you are completely out of line. These yahoos dont believe in different opinions over sports. It borders on the ridiculous. Having said this of course I think some teams are worth more time and attention. Do I care if the team wins or loses, not really. My goal is to win bets and not show off silly sports knowledge. What does that get you? A degree from Trump University. Thebeast is always a step ahead of the pack, Mysticrich.

Y'all do know Brady was sacked more than Palmer last year, right?

And he has one of the quickest releases in football and is so familiar with the system and his guys that he doesn't have to hold the ball. Garropollo won't have that in his first start. They won't be throwing downfield the way the Cards will.

Arizona gave up far less passing 1st downs. Passing TDs allowed was close with NE a slight edge.

Arizona's D was 6th in interceptions, NE was 24th. No INTs in their last 3 games at all.

If you think those stats will be suddenly swerve in NE's favor with a guy who's never started playing on the road at night then I guess there's no point arguing any more. I think NE might get demolished tbh. They also have the Phins week 2 which is way more important.

A guys first road start is always a play against situ. Especially when playing one of the league's better teams who have talented vets and young guys, have a good coach, AND were embarrassed their last game.

Palmer's finger must be fine by now, it's not a knee or back. Also I think part of it was they were spent after playing OT when Rodgers pulled that miracle, it was a wild emotional game, and Carolina was just really freakin good last year. If it wasn't Manning's last game and I hadn't watched Denver's D dominate all year I would have taken Carolina in the super bowl. If NE had gotten there I would have been all over the Panthers. The NFC is the better conference.

Their d is good but without help from the offense they won't win this game, it's probably the worst possible situation Jimmy could get for his first start. Dunno why some can't see that but it just is. Dudes will be fired up for Denny Green and to erase the memory of that debacle vs Carolina. And what better situation than facing a guy making his 1st start?

Of course, Jimmy will have the support of a strong run game to take some of the pressure off him. Oh wait, maybe not, as NE ranked DEAD LAST in rush yards last year, and only averaged 50 ypg on the ground the last 3 games. Which is like unheard of for an NFL team to be that bad over a 3 game stretch.

Plenty of backup QBs do fine and can be a good play getting points. This isn't one of those deals, they will struggle to run their pass heavy offense without Brady.

Boy oh boy talk about UNDERESTIMATING coaching with Bill Belichick as Head Coach. Giving a Bill Belichick coached team +5.5 pts anywhere on Earth is as the godfather says "an offer you cant refuse ".

This first game under Goodells draconian punishment of the unfair Tom Brady suspension will absolutely motivate the NE Patriots and if it doesnt nothing will. Do jaded NFL players become motivated over ex dead head coaches, of course not. Thats ridiculous. The patriots have perhaps a diamond in the rough with a healthy Dion Lewis and a exceptional field goal kicker , an all world tight end and much much more including arguably one of the greatest headcoachs in the history of the NFL. Perhaps all the fanfare about Palmer and Arizona will beat the Patriots? And perhaps Bill Belichick will be out coached? These could happen but with all your logic and x's and o's , the NE Patriots losing to Carson Palmer and Arizona is very very unlikely.

Having the luxury of playing teams like this is the only reason O'Brien still has a job  but in general the QB play in Houston along with the coach has been horrible .

I know your trying to be funny and are baiting  me Beast  , but on this very subject i was thinking watching the two of them yesterday at training camp , Brady is so jealous of Garoppolo and afraid of this guy looking good and winning games , this is an icy relationship these two hate each other
Tommy Bubble Screen is a me me me guy ,  he's not a team player ,  if you remember that Monday night game in KC down double digits the last time they asked (horizontal Tom)  to throw a ball downfield and he threw up these embarrassing wounded Ducks and he was benched and Garoppolo replaced him , remember that ?

Well when Garoppolo threw his first NFLTD pass in that KC game every team member from player to coach congratulated him on the sidelines all except Brady who just sat on the bench with his head down , he never went over to Garoppolo and said anything .the media picked up on this you couldn't miss it .

But Brady's all about himself and he knows this is the easiest team to play QB on , and this is what worries him .

Brady would never do or say anything to Garoppolo to be helpful , he wants the Patriot to be 0-4 when he returns that's his wish

The only way to answer such an un- American criticism of Tom Brady is to remind you Mysticrich that the next President of the U.S.A. , Donald Trump has stated that Tom Brady is a friend of mine and future President Trump recommends for Tom Brady to SUE the N.F.L. for 100 million dollars. Can I make it any clearer to you Mysticrich that Tom Brady isnt just important to the N.E. Patriots but to the whole wide world. Dont ya think its time to hop on board the Brady train, Mysticrich?

A  Brady Train heading back to California when he hangs it up , i'm all on Board for that

it will be so nice when i can turn on ESPN o the NFL Network and not hear Brady Brady Brady Brady

All this for a crappy QB who throws the ball two yards beyond the line of scrimage and has had 14 years of only having to win 1 competitive football game to get to a SB in a crappy stinky  a s s non competitive League
