Seahawks are not going to the SB. Stop it. Both games came down to the wire for different reasons, none of which had much to do with Seattle being a great team.
49ers spanked the packers, split with the seahawks both games close. How is it foolish to think packers would be a more favorable matchup? Packers aren't a great team, they are a good team that has edge in head coach and qb and other intangibles, and they have been sooo lucky this year. Sometimes better to be lucky then good.

I believe this has to do with the injury news on the Vikings side and the overall health of the Niners.

As I mentioned in my writeup, the Niners have spent a lot of time during the bye week working on their run defense and even brining their nose tackle out of retirement to shore things up in that area. If they have any aspirations of winning the SB they know they'll likely have to face the Ravens running game, which dominated time of possession in their lone meeting. If they can't stop Cooks--who, btw, for all the accolades being heaped upon him last week only averaged 3.4 yards a carry--they'll never stop the Baltimore running game.
Finally, almost all the "experts" and prognosticators, with a few exceptions, expect this to be a close game and/or an outright win for Minni. But when you read their rationale it is all based on the Vikings performance from last week and numbers and stats from the regular season (as they cherry pick stats and numbers that will support their side), with no mention of why Niners defense has dropped off, or just how important/advantageous this bye week is for the Niners who had the toughest schedule of any team this year.

Minnesota loves the underdog card they play it really well .. i think 49ers weakness is Gimmy G he could be a turnover machine.. I'm not too worried about the secondary it's the same that played the Saints

offensively it's a wash.. they come from the same tree Kubiak and Kyle.. Defensive edge coach wise its for sure Zim.. he game plans well but it also depends on how teams execute.. saints game is one where everything came along... this yr though Vikings have been not great defensively but have kept them in games when offense has been awful for Minnesota to have a chance both offense and defense have to play great like they did against the saints

It's humorous that begginerboy has crowned San Fran the Super Bowl without seeing Garapollo play one single snap in the playoffs. Yes, I'll agree with him, San Fran has looked great at times......but lets calm down a bit...... The playoffs are a different animal.
